How did you get the clevo custom fan table to work? It never works for me, no matter what. the only ones actually doing something for me are the Overclocking and the Maximum settings.

WOW, did you have silicon lottery delid it for you or did you do it yourself? and what was it rated as on their site? finally, did u use the CLUltra on the outside of the CPU's heatspreader when it was reinstalled?

I asked HIDevolultion to order it for me. The way it works is, they add the selected speed CPU, in this case, they chose 4.8 GHz (but that's guaranteed in a desktop setup not laptop), then they add $50 USD for the Delid service so when they received the CPU from Silicon Lottery, it was already delidded.
HIDevolution are now going to do delidding in house and even offer it for people when ordering laptops. Talk about enthusiast class reseller.
Yes I did use CLU also on the CPU. It already has CLU inside after delidding. -
MartinMac1982 Notebook Consultant
So basically you can just contact HID evolution to sort it all out for you , did you specifically ask HID for a certain speed cpu (I have my eye on the one that was binned at 4.9Ghz in a desktop) to keep my temps as low as possible?
thanks. -
I haven't seen SL list a 4.9ghz bin for quite a few months, it's been at best a 4.8ghz bin - often that one is out of stock - act fast when you see it in stock as it can be a while between new binnings.
-

1) Yes, I told HID what speed I want and they got that for me
2) always subtract a few hundred MHz from the rated speed because that was on a desktop with better cooling. Still a 4.8 GHz is running now @ 4.4 GHz super cool
I will try 4.5 and 4.6 GHz tomorrow
This laptop has to have these SL CPUs IMHO. Intel dead a horrible job with the 6700K, it is a matter of luck, you either get an excellent one like Papusan and johnkkks and Mr. Fox, or like most of us we got sucky ones -
MartinMac1982 Notebook Consultant
Yeah I'm gonna get a SL one eventually as I only really want to run at like 4.5 or 4.6 24/7. Just skint for a while atm.
Will they charge you slightly more if you order it through HID or the same? -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
You need to email them, I think that may depend on whether you had your system purchased through them or not but I am not sure. For me, since I am in Dubai, I didn't wanna take any risks or spend time dealing with PayPal / Silicon Lottery for a refund so I had HIDevolution order it for the peace of mind.
It arrived to me boxed and sealed with an official Intel Box

)Sweet I noticed you showed the IDLE temps (or temps just browsing etc), what are your temps under load with the De-Lidded CPU??

I didn't use custom fan table. Just used "overclocked" fan table which can be seen in win10 version.bloodhawk likes this.

Both have ultimate performance. Personaly I use them only in PC's. I'm to weak to try them in laptop - this dangerous stuff isn't for me (it's like living on the edge!).
By the way, 8 tubes? You're going to repaste NSA supercomputers?

Vantage and 3DMark 11 are nice examples of why Windows 10 sucks. http://www.3dmark.com/compare/3dmv/5430375/3dmv/5430363Prema, hmscott, Spartan@HIDevolution and 1 other person like this. -
How much easier it would have been if these Morons at Redmond could make a Os that would work on all benchmarks. The entire Win X is a big tragedy. This new **** Os is only a new advertising channel for Microsoft's main goal... Win Store.Mr. Fox likes this.

Yup, it sure is. Mine is Enterprise edition, only severely butchered to break as much of their worthless filth as possible. Maybe we should start calling it Windows Scratch-n-Sniff OS because so many people get the itch to try it out only to find that it stinks so bad.Papusan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this.

Mr. Fox, how did you get your G-Skill Ripjaws running at 2400Mhz stable on your Panther at these settings? I'm desperately trying to get my Kingston's running stable on stock settings (11-11-11-35 2133Mhz), but my Panther only let me use it at 1867Mhz. How can I get stable settings without overvolting the cpu imc, the system agent and analog/digital IO? We don't have these options in our Panther's (Premamod) BIOS, right? XMP is greyed out, so I am only able to set stock Settings manually.
Do I have to tweak it with Typhoon Burner, although I only want to run my sticks at stock settings (11-11-11-35 2133Mhz)?Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

With my 2800 MHz G.Skill RAM, at default, they are running on the "Defult XMP Profile" which was @ 2400 MHz only.
Then Mr. Prema told me to change it to XMP Profile 1 and that made them run at their rated 2800 MHz speed. Very simple.
I don't know about the Panther though but I hope this helps you in some way.CaerCadarn likes this. -
Unfortunately XMP-Settings are greyed out in BIOS. So I am not able to choose it and have to set the values manually....
-

Maybe @Prema can chime in -
XMP profiles are part of the RAMs SPD tables (not the BIOS itself), if they are greyed out it just means that the RAM doesn't have any.
All my BIOS have SPD writes enabled (blocked on stock Haswell & Skylake BIOS) so that you can use Thaiphoon Burner @TURBODUDE!!! to simply add XMP profiles or rewrite the entire JEDEC table.

@Mr. Fox
Bro, I was able to set all multipliers to x45 and temps are fine, but if I change the Cache Ratio from 44 to 45, Windows hardlocks upon boot
Adaptive voltage set to -70mV on CPU/Ring
Power Limits are 300000 for 1,2,3,4
Turbo Power Max set to 130000 mw
do you think this is the limit of the cache ratio or what do you suggest?
PLL Voltage set to 0 (default), tried changing that to -10 but still no luck if I increase the cache ratio to 45
-
Appreciated, as always!
I will have a closer look this evening on the XMP-Profiles, because my Sticks should have these: HX321LS11IBK2/8.
So, to get you right: Normally you would choose one of the XMP-Profiles in Bios and it should run like a "Schnitzel" and stable without any further tweakings, right?Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
If you want your cache ratio to go higher, you need to increase core/ring voltage more.
But not worth it. Only increases the temp.
I'd rather lower down cache ratio and increase core more if temp allows.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Fire Strike Score 1774 3DMarks @ 4.5 GHz on all cores / 4.4 GHz Cache Ratio / +125 Mhz GPU Core overclock / + 150 MHz GPU Memory overclock
Notice the temps. Was using Throttle Stop as well to avoid CPU Throttling while GPU is active

BTW, why does HWiNFO show that the CPU dips to 4000 MHz at times? Even though I am using Throttle Stop? Mind you, the average CPU clock is still @ 4.5 GHz but I don't understand this slight dip in CPU clock speeds at times. Doesn't happen in Windows, just when running 3DMark

Alright, just to chime in a little. Here are my Benches so far:
3DMark
3DMark11
ATM I'm hampered cause of the damnish warped CPU Heatsink. No way to get a spare part at a reasonable Price. CPU @4,2Ghz is max before throttling.
Although nothing special I'm No. 1 atm with my 970m's! *ähem*

Mr. Fox and CaerCadarn like this. -
There are many ways to enable throttling. Heat is the one that most people migrate to, when trying to resolve throttling issue. However, as you noted, your temps are great.
You might want to take a look at how much wattage your laptop is pulling at 4.5 GHz under heavy load. You might be reaching a wattage throttle point. If you think that your power brick has more than enough cushion to handle that load, ThrottleStop does offer some means increase the wattage limit or to trick the system into believing that that wattage consumption is much lower. If increasing the power package limits does not work, the recently added PowerCut feature is one such method to consider.
As always, be careful your don't "brick" your power brink.

@Meaker@Sager could you please have a look at these two 970m's?
I have these two "versions" in my Panther and I wonder, if it makes a difference (in terms of overclockability) while benching, which I presume it does? The second one (Slave) runs about 5 degrees hotter by Default and up to 15 degrees under heavy load. ASIC is 77 / 74. Dunno, if it would make a difference by swapping positions in terms of reducing heat output?
Would be great, if you or someone else could shed some light on this. -
Nice max temp. Why not 4.6 or higher?
-
You're going the wrong direction with voltage. If you want the clocks to go up, stop being stingy with the voltage. Let it run wild and free. Set cache voltage to 1.200V adaptive and no offset. See if that helps. If it still locks up, change to static to try to hold it at 1.200V.Papusan, Spartan@HIDevolution, GTVEVO and 1 other person like this.

My SPD is from @mw86 at Tech|Inferno. He figured out the Panther/P570WM doesn't follow instructions very well as far as memory settings are concerned and discovered the secret to forcing it to fall in line. To grossly oversimplify it, it's a matter of lying to the BIOS and tricking it into allowing the RAM obey. The timings do not match what ends up happening, so he figured out an algorithm of wrong timings to program to SPD to get what you want in the end, LOL. Send him a PM over there and he can probably tweak yours. I don't know what his secret is and some things are best kept to yourself to keep others from stealing credit for personal gain. I know @Prema and @svl7 have never had that happen before. *tongue in cheek*CaerCadarn and Prema like this.

It's more to do with the core quality (what ASIC guesses at but is not accurate) for temperatures and the slave will usually run cooler so you have them the right way round.CaerCadarn likes this. -

So heres something annoying, HIDevolution are now selling the p870dm with a 4 k panel G-sync compatible with G-sync compatible gpu's for the same price as mine was brought without gsync either. Awesome.
