OK, in order for you to have a play-mate...I finally also gave benching a shot myself.

Core does well (@1.2v) but vRAM sucks like on most of these systems:

Not to shabby this baby for a 4702MQ/860M combo I guess. :)

Question about my RAM guys, is my G.Skill 2800 MHz CAS Latency good or bad? it says 18 and I beat all the 2133, 2400, and 2666 MHz benchmarks made by Mr. Fox with the benchmarks showing lower latency but I am not sure about this CAS Latency or how to compare/measure it with others...... I just saw a video on Linus Tech where he says the faster the RAM is, the higher the CAS latency

What's your ASIC, @Prema? Mine is 69.5% and I can't take my 860M past 1.38 GHz... If I even try 1.4 GHz, my card sputters and dies. I've even managed to get a BSOD when I took it too far.

Remember card with not so high ASIC score can be very good oveclockers. And it's not always a card with high Asic score will give you high overclock and nice bench results.

    :)

I'll maybe try an older driver tonight...no time to install another OS, but that 5K-line keeps smiling at me.

EDIT: BTW, here the best GTX960M bench atm 1500/1500:

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7398344

Whoever made that W230SD bench, please come forward so I can credit you properly on premamod website!

Every day you manage to surprise us and bring it down more...even if it's only by 0.002 seconds. :D

    One second...here you go:

And don't worry my vRAM crashes the driver above 1350/2700Mhz.
Maybe you just need to lower your vRAM OC or try another driver like the 362 I used.
Also update your 3DMark in order for it to show proper clocks.

Then, when you will oc, you could have even better speed? XD

I am getting same RAM, and I have high hopes for it!

Can anyone tell me what happens when oc is not stable? Random glitches? restarts? Fried potatoes chip? Fireworks? I seriously have a bit of anxiety trying oc.

Is there any solution if there is no boot? I mean, do you wipe disk? take motherboard battery out then reflash Bios?

I mean, as long as you take it step by step, you do not end without boot, no?

I seriously never done oc before, but it seems like one of the most fun things to do!

I know that clevo induced GPU OC in their own control center, is that stable up to it's max speed?

You gotta reset the CMOS. Basically, take the back off, disconnect battery, take keyboard off, take out the CMOS battery, wait 30 seconds, plug things back in. START OVER. And go easy this time.

When it comes to GPU OC, always take it slow. Never go all out. Specially if you are new to OC'ing, take it like a first date or like sleeping with a virgin. If that makes sense :p

    Okay... Easy...

I know that they added this in their own center, I do not mean hardcore BIOS OC for GPU. Not even that is stable? :) I thought that it is like, buy laptop, set OC in Clevo thingy center to max, then rule all gamez. :)

Not really, specially because not every GPU is the same. Some can take a +150Mhz overclock at stock voltages others might not even do +100Mhz. You can not standardize a specific OC point without extensive testing.

Since memory OC doesn't really do much performance upgrade, I dont do much parameter changes.
This is how I do usually and did for this ram.

I set the memory to default and check the ram timings.
And just changed the frequency from 2133 to 2666 first.
Then see if laptop POST. In this case, it POSTed. So I ran TM5 for memory OC stability for like 20 times.
There was no error. So I OCed it more to see if it is possible.
    I changed 2666 to 2800 (14*100) but it didn't POST.
So I had to remove the CMOS battery and do everything again.

This time, I increased the first two ram timings from 15 to 16 to see if it POST for 2800.
And POST. So I ran again TM5 for stability for 20times and no error.
    This is how I did.

I might be able to adjust more timings but I just dont care and these timings dont do much for performance.
And moreover, it takes too much time :(

Once again, thanks to @Prema, he made my 15' inch laptop a monster.

@Kpaxx @johnksss one word of advice: Dunno, if you're using the same sticks as I do (HX321LS11IBK2/8)? But if you do, can you kindly provide me your Settings for 2133Mhz for flashing it via Taiphoon Burner?

It s****s to have these sticks running on 1867Mhz. I already tried every possible setting in BIOS, but it isn't stable at last.

Not so fast, please put @SRSR333 up there as my result is not valid (driver not approved) and I am still tinkering with the system. ;)

I tested old 347.88 driver but could't even make a FS run @ 1400Mhz, so the 362 is much better for our GTX 860M.

NVIDIA should publish the new 367 series WHQL driver soon...

Those are test runs. I am still playing with BIOS and each hardware component:

    Nice one!

Johnksss is overall single 980M champion...
GTVEVO is leading the 6700K single 980M score...
But on P7 godfafa is No.1...

    Here is the list:

    Hi
I have a p77xdm-g and thought I would try my hand at overclocking. I have the 6700k and for some reason when I choose 42 x on the multipliers in XTU they are not applying. Has anyome got any ideas?
