LOL you've stated the obvious. :) My point about LM not being the best for hard core benching was that its rating (at least for TGC) is 10C. So yes, for those in extreme temps and/or artificial extreme environments it will be an issue. For everyone else it won't.

I'm all for the Liquid Magic. :p

    Hi guys,

You can put in the new Prema bios Overclock on Static volting and what are the menu points where you can set Static?
About Throttlestop can be set via a fixed volting under static, the CPU should keep this volting.

Or is the indirect one via two menu items in BIOS???
Or is the submenu Override menu item meant?

    There are differences.
    I bought three times Conductonaut.
One syringe was less fluid and the other was very liquid.
I do not know if the liquid is the standard.
    The first was better.
The latter has been totally fluid.

Pretty amazing that such a little monster can do so well. Even the 150W 1080 with no external power connection is holding its own pretty well. Can hardly wait to see what it will do with a @Prema vBIOS.

    Can someone please answer me?

Is the Prema BIOS Static Volting possible?
    And how?

In Throttlestop I can set static volting - then runs the 7700k at 5 GHz with 1.21 volt voltage stable.
But where can I set this in the BIOS?

Yes it certainly is. Change it from Adaptive to Override, then set your desired voltage.

I'm trying to overclock my notebook display (, but at 75 Hz, testufo.com works fine, but I get severe horizontal lines. Even 65 Hz gives lines on the left side of the display. Is this a hardware issue, or something that can be solved by changing timings?

I just looked at an HP Z book 15. It's more than 2 times the price of the Tornado and would get it's ass beat BADLY in any type of testing. How does HP and Dell actually find people to buy those things?

I think the Tornado and P870 are both built better than any Dell or HP except for their highest end business class notebooks with full metal chassis. I've had lots of both. I found HP warranty to suck, but Dell's was awesome.

The ZBook, ProBook and EliteBook lines are HP's business class lines, though I don't know which is best. Dell's Precision M line has fallen far if I remember correctly. I quicker shove a Thinkpad at someone needing a business class notebook

Dell's warranty service has always been top notch for their expensive stuff. I had an M1710 way back when and whenever something went wrong, it was maybe a few days until there was a tech at my door ready to fix it. Awesome laptop that lasted me four years.

Question. I'm trying to go back to relatively "stock" settings for my 7700k and my Prema bios. I loaded setup defaults and noticed that some of the additional power settings looked higher than 0 (not sure if that's normal or not). The clock speed went to 45 1 core and 44 on the other 3.

Most of the time this is fine but playing the division last night one of my CPU cores hit 91 (this is a delidded CPU mind you). I think there are some power values still cranked up. I'm running a -70 offset.

I'm not at the PC right now but if someone could help me in the morning I would appreciate it.

Check if your heatsink contact is fine. Some users here have noted that a 0.3mm shim with a little sanding might be good to bridge the contact gap, because 7700K seems to be slightly lower in height.

That's the correct default/stock speed. To get it cooler from the firmware side set:

"Advanced" > "Overclocking (second)" > "Processor" > "Core Voltage Offset" to "125" and "Offset Prefix" to "-"

You just compared a GPU @ 2126Mhz (200W model) to one @ 2012Mhz (150W model), with a clock difference of roughly 5%, so nothing wrong there:

    http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/11569389/fs/11572495

It's actually pretty good to get almost identical per clock results while using 25% less Watts.

Here's the hybrid bga turdbooks best graphics score to date. It contains bga, so it must be 100% rubbish. lol jk...

    GT73VR Graphics Score: 25607
    [IMG]

If the F7 is for real with a LGA, it's going to take care of some serious business. Clevo watch out for the single engine class. Heck F7 SLI? That would be amazing.

The Hybrid bga as we know is only limited by the CPU, however, it isn't too shabby for what it is...

    http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark_-...Id=videocard_2754&cores=1#start=0#interval=20

I've asked @Papusan if he could send me a LGA USB-C adapter so that I could delid a 7700K and plug it into this hybrid to give me the physics score that I need, but the phone got disconnected.

    GT73VR
    [IMG]

There's a point to both that balances itself out.

On one front, the hybrid bga trash beats out the top DTR in graphics score. http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...cussions-lounge.794968/page-250#post-10439082

On the other end, the F5 is showing some great efficiency.

    F5's Graphic Score: 23955 @ ~150W?

So why @Papusan (no pun intended, casual poke, all in good fun) the slam on the AW1080 about having a TDP of ~150w (w/ Peaks of 183w) when it yields a 18K+ in Fire Strike at 150w, all the while the GT73VR is at the same mark of 18K, but at 203W?

    AW17R4 (1080) - Graphics Score: 23688 @ 150W
    [IMG]

+ Both the F5 and even AW once again proves that efficiency is greater than untamed power that does it no justice...

Oh course we want more power. Bring it on....

Also to note, @Mr. Fox I saw that you're scratching the 20K's! That would be huge to dance in that territory considering that the F5 is in a different weight division vs the heavy weights. I foresee 20K's np...soon enough. Seeing all this 7700K greatness is knocking at my door...

Just as a side note with the processor I have I can hit 4.7 at -125 Voltage Offset.

    Edit: 4.8 at -80, 4.9 at -10 and 5.0 at +25

Try a bench at 4.6, then 4.7. If the score is better you're winning. If it's the same, then give it some more beans :)

So here is what things are set to now. I don't think I have a problem with heatsink contact unless this delidded CPU is supposed to run cooler. When I run the x264 stress with fans on overclock mode the core temps are in the low 70s (ambient around 68-72f). I think it is when I load both GPUs to 70-90% usage (72-80c) and CPU to around 70-89% usage is where the CPU temps started falling off the rails. The division so far has been the most punishing in terms of loading all 3 components pretty heavily.

Do the power limits look correct in the screenshot. Wasn't sure if at stock settings if those limits should be zero?

I was running a -80 at 4.8 with all of the power limits cranked up to what Mr.Fox had set his BIOS to. During x264 bench it would hit a max at 85-86c core temp but not stay there. I think my problem was when I added the combined heat of the GPUs.

I have not tried x264 bench but with only 1 GPU have been able to run 5.0GHz with Cinebench, Firestrike, Battlefield 1, Etc in the mid to high 80's.

    Anyone gets this?

    Drops of clock to 800MHz...

Yes, the EUROCOM Tornado F5 is quite amazing considering the size and the fact that it draws power only from what is available through the MXM slot.

For something more interesting, let's see some 3DMark 11 and 3DMark Vantage action with those BGA machines though. Remember, you can always get nice fluffy-looking scores with Fire Strike even with a very weak, low-powered CPU or a better CPU even with no overclock. When the CPU performance is counted in the overall score is where we start to identify some rather significant separation in performance potential. Fire Strike's overall scores won't highlight the performance capabilities of the stronger product, or call attention to the deficits of the lesser products. In fact, it tends to minimize it to an extent that I view Fire Strike as a bit of a marketing distraction rather than a valuable test. That's primarily because the overall score is frequently not understood to be a GPU test. Most people do not even look at the physics and combined test results, so they wrongly assume something is far better than it actually is based on a number without any context.

I still enjoy running it and seeing where it gets me a few extra points at HWBOT.org though. It's pretty useful for entertainment value.
