Both Quadros and Radeom Pros are a waste of money. Lesser known fact.

Huh, interesting. I know that Quadros and GeForce GPUs use the same cores, but how do you force a Quadro driver to run on a GeForce GPU?

    You dont.
But you can, just needs messing around with device ID's, then again wont make a difference in performance.
Only applications Quadro's help in are CAD/CAM. That too because those apps are optimized to use the cards themselves.
Every single other 3D Application will benefit from more VRAM , CUDA cores and faster core clocks. As for rendering, 90% of the widely used renderers use the CPU.

They're really only good if you're using certain software because they won't allow you to even talk to support unless you have a quadro/firepro.

**** Clevo. At least im done.

Pretty much. And thats because NVIDIA wont offer the devs any support if they dont use Quadros . **** being thrown down the chain.
But larger studios are able to manage, smaller studios get their heads stuck in a vice.

I honestly don't know about you guys, but I'm getting increasingly exasperated by all this need to tweak, open and repaste, lap, shim, tune, et cetera. Why can't I just turn on my PC, and everything works, no throttling, no nothing?

Stop doing those and enjoy what you have!

Happiness comes from inside, not from outside! If you're happy inside, everything will make you happy! If you're sad on the inside, no laptop or computer can make you happy.

I do this because it is fun. When it gets annoying, I stop from tweaking and do some fun stuff. Live your life for fun. Also stop caring if you don't. Really. Most people get by using smartphones instead of laptops. Some folks would rather not sit at desk and open their lappy but rather sit with their phone in bed. Just try to enjoy life!

My recent OC scores are nothing too amazing, but I'm still waiting to buy the U3 mod @Mr. Fox and @Papusan recommended . I guess that with it, I'll be able to blast some decent OC numbers :)

Anyways, after @Prema Bios and a windows install, I am more than happy with my performance. While I could use more for development, it most certainly is adequate!

Yeah, I know... it almost feels that is better option to buy the older P640RE with a 970M.

Before you pull the trigger on an AW13, I'll probably wait for some news on Clevo part.

When you are ready to buy you might want to check the Tornado F5. If you get that with the 7700K and the GTX1070 card it's fairly short money and I'm sure will perform.

Hi guys, Don't know if this is the forum I should be asking this. If not, no worries, I'll delete it. I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer on Google. Last week I was joking around about sticking a Phase Change cooler on my Clevo. Question is (in all seriousness), what application would someone use one of those coolers? Are they safe to use if set up correctly? The little information I did find about them, it would seem like they are definitely risky.

Condensation can be a serious problem. The risk is probably more to do with ignorance and not following the right process. The application is extreme overclocking by professional overclockers that are on the edge of sanity within their league. That's pretty awesome.

Watch this video for more info about the preparation, etc.

Oil cooling is also cool (pun intended) and a whole lot more weird.

I appreciate the videos. That's is pretty awesome stuff. That's on a completely different level. I'll learn how to overclock on air first. Had no idea a computer could be submerged in oil either. WOW!

Hm... I'm running 4.0 GHz, barely touching 80C, @Prema BIOS.

    R15 score doesn't go past 875

Fresh windows install, power set to max performance, everything should work?!

    Where is the R15 900 score ?!

Is this a problem with the latest windows version?

R15 900 score is in the upper bed for 4.0GHz. 875 and up to 900 are within the norm(all depends on how much bloat you prefer). So, do not be so disappointed my son :)

    AAAARGH!

I've been doing this for the last two hours!

Muh wants muh 900 R15 back!!!

Okay, so 've been de-parasiting this windows, there is still something that's eating 25 R15 points. What could I had missed.

There's nothing running but drivers and R15 - not even HWiNFO since I know the temps don't go over 80C even in Aida stress test.

I'm having fun in here :D

Well, to be honest, I was experiencing some frame drops in phantom pain and this is why I got a bit worked up, but it seems the following:

If I'm running a game in borderless windowed, I only get good fps if I firstly click on the bottom right to hide everything that's on the screen then click on the game, so only the game is in foresight.. Seems this affects dota2 as well, I get frames dropped to exactly half if I don't follow this.

Hm... I guess I'm working some component of windows that I shouldn't be - curious what

My past scores were 897 as well, cannot see why it dropped to 875. It is barely 2% - 3% difference, but curiosity is part of my nature :)

BTW, for the absolute latest version of windows, does this work, or it needs an update?

I should mean so. Read FOX comments about it.

"Edit: And, now DDR4-3333 only gets BSOD and the blue error screen where the path to winload.exe is not found if I set 3333. Had to drop back to 3000 after installing RS2. ThrottleStop is now causing a hard lock-up with RS2. So far the only good things I can see is O&O ShutUp still seems to allows me to get away with killing everything (latest version released 3 days ago) and StartIsBack still works. But, StartIsBack had to be reinstalled because Windows 10 RS2 told me it was not compatible and removed it. As usual, they are liars."

Well, a new toy arrived after work today. I was not even expecting it, so a nice surprise. Here is a little teaser for something you guys can be excited about. Will be working with @Prema on the BIOS and vBIOS mods.

Since this is a developer unit, there is only so much I should mention. I won't say what the GPU is, but it has more vRAM, more shaders. It uses both MXM slots and both power input cables with a modified vapor chamber. The part that sucks is it obviously will not be available in SLI. I think it will rape single 1080, but probably won't beat 1080 SLI, but I guess we shall find out what this bad boy is made of soon enough.

I think Brother @Phoenix is going to be wishing he had not wasted money on the MSI BGA laptop.

GPU drivers are not stable. Keep getting TDRs. And, the chipset is not being identified correctly on the motherboard.

I had a difficult time getting that 3DMark 11 screen shot. It's after midnight, so I am going to get some sleep and maybe tomorrow I'll get some more examples to share.

Ah, sorry bro. I thought if I redacted the name it would be OK. Yeah, Mark is going to flip out now.
You guys are so sneaky. @bloodhawk and @Mobius 1 checking the image name. Since you figured it out here is the non-redacted image. Chipset is not showing correctly for KM model. Maybe a driver issue?
