So HWInfo now supports fan control for Clevo's?
That would be pretty awesome, if we can set custom fan curves.
I can check right, dont have the system with me.

Weird. Well ill try to give it a shot today. But from the last month i have used it, couldn't get it to work no matter what . It would work like 2 out of 10 times and then again it would stop working after i switch to Maximum.

No fan control but show the actual speed on 2 fans(Cpu+Gpu - Not 3 fans) I don't know what Gpu fan of 2 who is monitored.

This would be really cool, the secondary gpu on my sli setup runs about 10c hotter. I wish i could crank up the fan speed on the secondary gpu or have a more aggressive fan profile for it.

Holy ****, how is you card handling that OC @ 4K? And what are the temps like ?
    At 4k i cant OC beyond +150/+100 at stock voltage and +175/+125 @ +.25v

Absolute Max I saw CPU was 83C
GPU was in the mid 60s max

Ambient temp is around 23C (74F) [I'm at work so I can't use any assisted cooling, only fan speed @ 100%]

I will push beyond +300 when I can get this thing COLD.

I love the GTX 980 card. Way more fun than the 980M's for overclocking.

60C on the GPU running at @ 1467/3904 with a 4K Screen. That seems impossible. Can you log temperatures using GPU-Z and post it here. I really want to see the max temps. If the Processor is hitting 83C there is no way the GPU is not around 80C Mark, specially running the 4k Display.

Would you like a picture of my thermostat as well? LOL

Even better temps this time around, TS Bench and 3DMark FS ran.

The GPU is cooled by two fans while the CPU is cooled by one fan. Also my CPU is not delided yet...

Dang. That is one impressive card. Is the environment Air conditioned?
Im sorry if i came across offensive, didnt mean it that way.
I have tried FireStrike on 3 P870DM's with the 4K screen and all of them idle at about 35-40C and max out at 80-85C under load., without overclocks .
The CPU is also darn good for a non - delidded one.

Are you still rocking the stock ICD ? or did you re-paste it again yourself?

No air conditioning, it is raining outside but it's not really cold.

Stock ICD on the CPU as far as I know. Stock ICD on the GPU as well.

give me anything other than this throttling by default 6700K / limited 4 core performance and I'll be happy.

My previous desktop 5930K destroys my current CPU in wPRIME @ 4.4 GHz

So if nothing good comes out to replace the 6700k by the time Pascal releases... I may just may get a 4.9ghz from silicone lottery. I want to do more research on their reputation but it definitely interests me. Then if all goes well with my research... I'll get sli Pascal with a 4.9ghz delid CPU ;)

Pascal will be nice but I am afraid we are in for something unexpected. In other words I expect Nvidia to pull some trick out of their money bag.

It's sad, but I am apprehensive as well. I will not be surprised if NVIDIA does something full retard on us, like overclock blocking or some other worthless gonad-torquing shenanigan. These people are not our friends and they should never be trusted to do what is best for their customers.

Maybe overclock blocking for new M Cards and still overclocking on the desktop version(as advertised). Anything can happen when they want to push you over to a new laptop with new cards after a year. Not good for Nvidia, that the previous generation graphics can overclock properly and there is not enough difference in performance between the old and the new. It's just waiting for the big bang .

So the Clevo Control Center has completely ****ed my system over. I figured i will it another shot, looking at the results others were having and that their OC and Automatic profiles were working just fine. I just installed it (v 0.32) and now my GPU fans wont turn on unless the fan profile is at the maximum.

I have tried reinstalling it 3 times now, and the GPU fans still dont turn on no matter how hot the GPU gets, unless i turn them on using Fn+1.

I figured they will turn on when it get under load, ran Unigen Valley, temps instantly reach 80-90C and still NO FANS.

Right now im idling at 80C on the automatic profile and still the FANS are at 0 RPM in Hwinfo. Cant even feel them running when i put my hands next to the grills.

Any idea how to fix this? And no reinstalling Windows is not an option, i have too many applications and installing everything will take at least 2 days.

Not so fast SJ. It wouldn't s'prise me at all if Alienware went Full Metal Retard & din't release a Bios update for your XJKKD mthrbrd to run Broadwell-EP. Heh heh. Old tricky Fox knows the nVidiots pretty well: 'these people are not our friends and they should never be trusted to do what is best for their customers'. Same could be said for the Aliens. I'll say a lil' prayer for your Monstah Desktop, just in case ... you'd best say one too ... Broadwell will fit all day long, but will it work, lol

Maybe uninstall CC and put bios to default. Restart and install CC. Test that everything works before you put your OC settings back.

Having experienced some weird fan problems, (usually running full blast versus not at all,) is the reason I asked about XTU... not sure why it does that.

Do you have the option for custom fan controls enabled in the @Prema BIOS? Might not hurt to double-check to be sure.

CCCleaner FIXED IT!! Thank you good sir! It was probably some left over crap. Not installing this **** again, unless some reseller actually uploads a working updated version.

But yeah, custom fan control was enabled. Now my fans behave normal at the automatic/maximum modes.

Its stupid how the Control center manages to **** it up instead of actually making things work. OC/Automatic/Custom literally did not do anything and turned both fans to 0 rpm.

I cannot count the times I have advised people not to install XTU, it messes up the fan tables. Made them run on full blast for me even when the temps were low despite me ensuring that the fan profile is set to automatic in control center. Never installing that virus again.

I just realized I still need to order liquid ultra so I can delid this cpu.

I've scored better before @ 4.6Ghz, I haven't even touched any BIOS settings for these last two overclocks I did lol

That will come later, at higher frequencies, with better cooling. ;)

That's the stupid part. One click you get that awesome score and the second click , BOOM its gone.
btw. will it be possible to share your Throttlestop settings? I haven't used it before so dont want to mess with it without knowing.

I am the leader of the SSD Single Driver Benchmarks for now as noone has submitted their scores. The most important stat here IMHO is the 4K Random Read / Write and latency. That's where most of the snappiness feeling comes from :D

No IRST Driver installed, only the latest Samsung NVMe Driver v1.1
