New score in Cinebench 11.5 - 11.71 pts from BGA PUSSY-crushing KILLER @Phoenix for the first page... Not the large increase in SCORE this time but still an increase in the leadhttp://hwbot.org/submission/3198477...5_core_i7_6700k_11.71_points?recalculate=true
@USMC578 You said no one bench anymore![]()

A new Cinebench R11.5 test for verification of previous score. Same results 11.71 pts. The results in Cinbench 11.5 windows shows now from low 11.67 - 2x benc with 11.71 pts. All good

So @Prema was kind enough to get me his BIOS, and it's excellent. I do have one issue that probably isn't a BIOS issue, but maybe related -- my core and ring voltages I have set to -155mv with Adaptive mode in the BIOS. After gaming for hours, my max voltage hits only 1.206v as expected. However, as soon as I put my laptop to sleep and then wake it up, everything seems to revert to stock settings. My max voltage is reported at greater than 1.35v, and my current voltage swings between 1.2 and 1.36 in normal idling as you would see with Stock (the BIOS still has my -155mv settings). As soon as I do a fresh reboot again, my undervolt is back, it's only when I wake from sleep that I lose undervolt. I don't have Intel XTU or any other clock modifiers installed.
Does anyone else have this issue? This is the only thing I can find related to this. Some people are saying it's a Skylake issue with Adaptive mode:
https://hardforum.com/threads/skyla...-vcore-adaptive-mode.1875212/#post-1041852489
I guess the obvious thing to do here is to either not use sleep, or to not use Adaptive mode and see if I still get this issue, but I wanted to post here to see if someone else might be able to check if they see this as well.Last edited: Apr 26, 2016 -

You'd like to know this
. What you see in the image is idle voltage. Load voltage is far below this
Maybe You like the bench for this time?

dude 1.4 voltage on a laptop? I thought that would turn your CPU into barbecue silicon wafers?

It's hard to go under 1.300v load voltage with 4.8GHz. And I think my processor is colder than yours in bench

can you teach me how to set manual voltage doctor? For example, if I want to set a static 1.33V, what value should I enter in BIOS? 1330 ????

Yes its will be something like this yes. You just have to put in decimal point then you have the answer
Max temp in Cinebench R11.5

no do this, run AIDA64 Extreme Stability Test and HWiNFO for 3 mins then post a screenshot like this:

Maybe I might do similar a later time. My Main interest is BENCH!!!

I do not think the temp will kill my chip, to put it this way

this is insane!! and you don't even have a Silicon Lottery CPU!! Did you put your laptop in the fridge?

Wish I had one. But this one have to be good enough for me I think. I do not have much money(I'm retired because of illness
). My wife will KILL me if I order from that site
I keep on talking nicely with my wife... Then it might become an extra 330W PSU for me.
And of course I do not want to kill my machine. Not sure I get back on warranty, LOLLast edited: Apr 26, 2016CaerCadarn and Prema like this. -

I have short phone videos of some of my best bench. I will probably show it when I have time. I bench the beast on the dining/coffee table in my living Room. And I haven't a fancy computer table in a nice office either, LOL

I believe it is called Norway.
Great score Papusan.
Wonder how one of those BGA D1587's would do against it
Papusan likes this. -
I checked the Asic-score it is 77%
As stated I am on stock vBIOS. I reread the core-voltage under load: 1,118V
Running UniHeaven results in a core-temp of 65°C with fan´s on full speed.
What is your load core-voltage? -
Your card have high Asic score and the voltage is normally lower. My card run with 1.143v. You have probably smaller headroom for higher oc duo the lower voltage because of high Asic score.Last edited: Apr 26, 2016tgipier likes this.

sorry to bump, can anyone confirm they do or dont have this issue?Last edited: Apr 26, 2016

Well as far as i know, none of us here use Suspend or Sleep modes at all. At least not me.
It is probably related to suspend states, someone else will have to chime in. -
Higher ASIC dont scale well with voltage.
-
Yeah. High Asic card is no guarantee for an ok Oc at stock voltage. But often are those cards quite suitable for overclocking in sub zero temperatures. High/medium and even low Asic cards will give a nice bump in Clockspeed if you put on suitable voltage. All depends on whether you are lucky with the cards
-
Honestly, for most people who are just gaming. 980 Desktop should do fine...

True, I never even tried suspend, I do hibernate sometimes and never had an issue with that. -

Strangest thing is that 3DMark doesn't even know the GPU, but it has beaten every of their " Quadro FX series category" with T7600. @unclewebb have the standard non-overclock able CPU after all

Is there a CMOS reset button somewhere on the P870DM? I didn't change many settings, so I'm guessing that it's just too high of a multiplier to boot (x48 on 1350 static, doubt this is high enough to fry the CPU since I see people running 1400). I've pulled the main battery and CMOS battery under the KB for 30 seconds while holding the power button, but it still just powers on and lights the keyboard with no fans spinning.
EDIT: Never mind. Found the post by @Mr. Fox and waited longer, and it cleared right up. Glad we have such a dedicated overclocker on this platform.Last edited: Apr 27, 2016 -

that's why I set the option in CPU Options for boot mode to: Max Non-Turbo Performance, that way I won't face an issue if my OC settings are very high as it gives me a chance to get into BIOS to change them before they bump to the higher speedi_pk_pjers_i, tgipier and GTVEVO like this. -
I do the opposite. I like that my computer boot with maximum Turbo Speed. Yet another indication that you have selected the correct voltage vs clockspeed. If your computer has trouble booting up with your chosen settings, they are not stable enough. Then I would try new settings, although this may involve to reset the CMOS.
-
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
What I meant is while testing, set it to non-Turbo performance, after you have verified your settings are fine, then you can set it to Max Performance. Better than doing an NVRAM reset

Same thing happened to me! Undervolted by 150mv and after waking from sleep, the cpu would go back to 1.3+V and only a reset would fix it.
-
You could try out Throttlestop and see if this tool can help with the problem.
-
It think this is not a bios issue, but rather an issue with adaptive voltage. Other machines have reported issues with adaptive voltage and sleep. I've decided I'll no longer use sleep.
-
I have never ever used adaptive voltage, hybrid boot or sleep. Fast boot is disabled in bios. + A lots of people have problems with hybrid boot. I prefer a clean boot every time. A new modern pc today is fast enough to start up without the need of this junk.oveco likes this.

New score by BGA PUSSY-CRUSHING KILLER in Wprime 32M 4.222 sec (It would have been nicer with 2.222 sec. But this is impossible, HaHa) for the front page @Phoenix This is begin to look good
. I Jerked up a notch also in HWBOT Wprime rankings
http://hwbot.org/submission/3199816_papusan_wprime___32m_core_i7_6700k_4sec_222ms?recalculate=true
Now with the highest Wprime 32M score of all 4 core i7 with 4800MHz. This with a laptop and stock cooling, not a desktop rig with fancy cooling HaHa

Cant wait to OC the new one.
@Papusan How are you improving your scores at the same frequency?Last edited: Apr 28, 2016oveco, tgipier, hmscott and 1 other person like this. -
Everything is possible. You are not stuck to just one and only score with the same clockspeed. There is a reason you want benching more than one time in the same Bench and same clockspeed
Not big change in scores... But all improvement is like an orgasm
bloodhawk likes this. -
Haha, makes sense, but which areas are you mostly teaking to improve these scores further? Or is it secret?
Papusan likes this. -
Not a very big secret. But I avoid all the new garbage that comes from Win update + that you love benching like me. Be happy and start the day with one or two rounds bench tests + of course sit down with a big cup coffee and enjoy
. Maybe one day you will see a better and inproved score... It also helps that everything works as it should
It will be bad bench results if something similar in the picture happens
But M$
will love to help all overclockers later with next build of the colored tile **** Os, HaHa. +rep to the Redmond Morons

I do not think Futuremark is in the pocket at M$ yet

Have you selected the test you want to install in the 3Dm suite?

When you first install it, Fire Strike isn't installed just the main app, you need to click on more benchmarks, then install Fire Strike.
That's how it was for me (purchased and installed through Steam)
