So it is definitely your sound card. Try disabling the realtek audio device from the device manager in case there is a conflict made with 2 sound cards running at the same time.

Any has replaced our disaster fans with silent ones? I know that there is a buttion and we can switch it off but computer is too hot then. I want at least a program which helps the fan work at 25%-30% capacity. Is there any way?

The only way I know is silent mode with the A button. I've also been in research for a program, but any was compatible. If you find a working one, pls post it.

Yes, A button saves us everytime but my computer restarted itself even when i am at internet because of temperature. so we need something which makes the fan work at 25%-30% capacity. I will definitely post if i find something.

I tried Speedfan yesterday but compatibility zero. It only shows temperatures on m570.

Hey guys, hope you have a good day.

I followed the thread quite for a time, but now I've got a problem I just can't find a solution for and hoped any of you could bring a bit light into the darkness. . .

First I'd like to say: I HAVE and had almost allways the newest drivers, at least for the graphics, also tried beta-drivers and the stuff.
    Bios is 1.00.19, EC 1.00.12

    Now the prob:
If playing any ressourceneeding game it just stops working after a few minutes and I find myself back in windows. All measureable temps are in the green zone. Sometimes it happens, that the game just freezes, the screen becomes black, and after 2seconds all is working fine again.
Happened also under Vista ult.x64. There at last came the message: "The displaydriver doesn't work anymore and has been reset."

So. What do you think? Maybe bad Ram?!?
Thanks for now, at least for reading ;)

    Forgot:
    M570TU, x9100 @ 3.06Ghz, 9800M GTX, 4GB RAM 1066MHz, Win7 HomePremium x64

@Kane - you really need to start diagnostics immediately. Do a RAM test, a CPU stability test, a GPU test, etc. You can use OCCTP for all these: Download - OCCT Website english

    Mhm. Well. .

Thanks a lot, Blacky, for the quick respons,
I did as you told me, and the system broke down three times, trying to do the cpu-occt. Each time after 5-10 Minutes.
The gpu-occt broke down twice, with the message, that the displaydrivers don't react and have been reset.
It seems that the only thing working is the RAM.
    I used the standard-tests.
You won't have any hope that the system could be fine by some fixes, do you?!?

It looks like your system has a hardware fault. Hopefully you still have warranty on it cause you should send it for repairs.

I wonder why I never thought of this before. Well I disabled the original sound device and so far have had no crashes. Hope this keeps up. If not, Im gonna have the original audio jack fixed so I don't have to fight over this anymore. Anyway thanks for your help.

I re-applied my thermal paste with arctic ceramique. But do I have to spread it all over the chip or just put a little of the paste on the center of the chip and then put the heatsink? And do I also have to replace the memories' paste to get most out of the GPU?

You can use the dott-method or spread it, both work, but putting a little paste on the center is the simplest and easyest. The memories pads should be replaced once in a while, especially if they seem dry.

    Hey All! 5797 ftw

I tried searching for a solution but...

I have some wicked keyboard flex on the right side of my keyboard. I pulled it up to take a look underneath and its obvious that there is space between the keyboard and the underlying frame. This appears to be by design.

Does anyone have some insight/workaround WHATEVER for this? It really bums me out when typing and it sounds so... cheap.

I agree with Blacky; this is exactly what happened to my machine. Turned out that the GPU had died. Still not sure what caused it. If your system isn't under warranty and you need a new card, I've found a couple of compatible ones on ebay. Slightly cheaper than buying direct from some of the larger companies. I'll try and dig up the exact links, if that'd help you.

Yeah, the keyboard flex is a bit of a bummer. It's not quite as bad on mine, but it can still be somewhat annoying. I know that I've read of people placing thin pads and/or metal sheets in there to brace the keyboard. Maybe it was somewhere in this thread? I'll try and remember just where I read about someone doing a project of that sort. Shouldn't be too difficult to do on the fly, though.

Nice to know that that works. I've never actually gotten fed up enough to do something about that particular issue, but heck, if just a bit of tape is thick enough then I will.

Has anyone found a better thermal pad compared to the BerGquist?
I've noticed the Bergquist is 1 W/mK but 2 or 3 or higher is better?

    Thanks Blacky!
Summer is almost here and I'd like to throw these in my 9800m GT to help keep it cooler. My temps are usually around 45c idle on it.

I'll see if I can find these in my location... USA.

I haven't seen them in US. But you might be able to order them from Europe (which will cost you extra), just drop the seller an email and see what he says.

    Hi

Could not force myself through all 149 pages, so maybe this is covered before,
if thats the case could someone give me a pagehint maybe?

I have been experimenting with drivers for the webcam(bisoncam) in our dear m570tu, downloading drivers from different resellers. So far I have tried drivers from Eurocom, Prostar, Rock, Sager, Multicom(norwegian reseller) and the drivers from Clevo themselves.

My conclusion is that the best choice is either the one from eurocom of prostar, both these enable recording in up to 1600x1200 and they both offer some nice enviroment options, the prostar maybe winning because they have an additional low light mode lacking in the driver from Eurocom.

Maybe not the most important aspect of the notebook for most of us, but nice to have everything optimized, for the occasional Skype/msn etc chat.

Anyone got any input, maybe tried other drivers/resellers?

Happy to provide links if requested :D

Welcome to NBR Forums. To tell the truth I haven't ever noticed differences in drivers for Bisoncam and don't know any other resellers of Clevo notebooks, except Deviltech and Turbo-x(greek reseller), in which I haven't seen if their site has drivers for notebooks. What is the best driver you have tried already?

Btw Does anyone have the 9800m GTX 0617 BIOS for the M570TU, which supports HDMI?
I'd be glad to have one! :D

Guys I just changed my GPU's thermal compound with some Arctic Ceramique but don't see any decrease in temps, but I see an increase. I've put paste as thin as A4 paper, should I replace it and put some more?

Thanx Blacky. Unfortunately, here in Greece it is difficult to buy a MX-2 or MX-3 paste and the only ones that we have here are arctic silver 5 and arctic ceramique. I now see a very big reduce on temps.

FurMark: After 20 Minutes, the card stayed at 86oC
Crysis: Run bench for 4 loops and didn't go past 76oC

In the above I had ambient temp of 29oC.

How I spread the compound in the gpu in attachment.

Can't tell anything from the picture :).
Try to buy some from ebay then, but I am sure someone will be selling MX-2 in Greece. Try to look for websites dedicated to water-cooling, those usually have the best cooling stuff.

Welcome to NBR Forums. You were right to post here about this issue. From my experience, I can tell you that the GPU is dying. I had particular issue with a desktop GPU. The only thing you can do now is the oven thing or just buy a new card. See this thread, but before doing anything, be sure to reseat the gpu, check the monitor connector and if nothing works, do the oven thing

Do you mean that you get suttering? Because I had this issue before but solved it fortunately.
Actually, I was looking for a better cpu than mine, because I got the 9800M GTX and the cpu is a real bottleneck. Evidence: 3dmark06 scores rise by 700 points when I overclock it to limit 2,78GHz.

I replaced the GPU thermal pads to this: Bergquist Thermal Pad GAP PAD GP2500 .100" THK (flattened down). It's rated at 2.7 W/m-K supposedly.
I have not noticed any difference but I'm sure it's better than the stock pads.

I gotta get my hands on that MX-3 now.

The only problem with this mod is the weight. It will add about half a kilo of weight to your laptop.
