    Totally agree man :D ..lol
Even if you got 200FPS you would not be able to tell the difference.
To many people get caught up in numbers the most important part is how it handles a game and anything over 60FPS is great.

I'm thinking of buying a "Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition with Windows 7 upgrade" for my M860TU, but was wondering if the 64-bit version will give problems with drivers and games. Any thoughts ? (I would like to install some older games aswell)

This has to be the biggest joke ever... :D It made me laugh.
Nevertheless... CS source is not, by all means, a game that will put your computer to test. Try something like crysis, or similar. In the end of the day, if it makes you happy to have tons of fps, just throw Chuckie Egg at it... ;)

You shouldnt have any problems with a 64bit OS. I am running Windows 7 RC x64 on my M860ETU and all of the drivers work fine. All the ones on the CD worked fine for me as long as you run them as an administrator. As for games I have yet to run into a problem with games not being compatable. The exception here is gametap which does not support x64 OS's yet but as long as you dont use that you should be fine.

    @h0w1er, yes, most are offering a 2x blue-ray 8x DVD combo read/writer
@Marc, from 30-40 CPU/GPU and 40-60 HDD (idle to gaming)
check this thread and the screenshots in my sig link for better comparisons of temperatures.

I believe h0w1er wants a blu-ray writer, which most suppliers do not offer, but they are available elsewhere as the drive bay is a standard laptop sata bay.

I was playing TF2 and noticed a beep sound, so I quit the game. A couple minutes later I get the same single beep. I'm using headphones and the beep comes from the computer speakers. Anything I should be worried about?

I'm not saying it's a downer or it's , but I'm just asking if it can perform better than that. I understand that you can't see fps over 30 or somewhere around that and 60 is just perfect, but I'm just saying that if you try to compare the maximum fps it can do, compared to another card (9800m gs in this case) it should out perform it. I'm not unhappy or anything about this laptop (other than the fact I can't boot up XP Pro cd on start up). Which brings up my other problem.

I try to boot a Windows vista cd on boot up. But it shows a flashing "_" and boots to windows. (I'm trying to upgrade/clean reformat). Yes I'm quite noob and not really sure about this (including the fact I've never encountered this problem before).

BTW, yes I have Changed the setting in the bios to vista before booting the cd on startup.

As for your bootup issue, did you set your ODD as first string in the boot options?

I'm trying my damn best to overcome my short temper. I just don't like seeing other Asians making our people look bad. Fortunately, he has agreed to let it go after I gave him the option to do so. I respect a man that apologizes for flipflopping in his debut posts, and I would appreciate it if we all would leave this behind us so he can start off on the good foot.

    1. I still don't know what the difference is now. The "Pix Glare" version costs $ 20 more btw, so I'm assuming it's better or not ? What is the actual difference between the 2 ?
    2. So which one would you recommend for a gamer then ? I'd love to take the 7200 rpm to boost performance (even if it's just a little bit), but if it makes my notebook heat up to much (and thus drop performance) then I'd rather not go for it.

    1. It´s not Pix Glare, it´s 1680x1050 Pixels, Glare.
Meaning the resolution is 1680x1050 Pixels and you can choose between Glare ( = glossy) screen and non-glare ( = matte). And for some reason the glossy screen costs 20 Euro more.

If you don´t know the difference glossy screens reflect light a lot more but tend to have sharper colors and contrast. If you plan on using the computer outdoors, in a brightly lit room or with windows right behind you I suggest you go for the non-glare. If not, I personally would choose glare.
It´s a matter of personal taste.

well pinoy = filipino in their language...

i doubt that one can see any difference between 60 and 160fps
as the laptop screen is capped at 60fps anyways(60hz)
and also...relying too much on the fps , its just not much difference with those who blame drivers for not giving them enough 3dmark06 score....

well...buy it and be happy with it...
im so far contended with it as long as it can run the games..whether the settings at super high , or low...

Yes that does make me Filipino Canadian. :)

    Yeah. I'm a dumba** =( Sorry.

Errr... btw. Did anyone seem to have the same problem with me with the setup disk not reading on start-up?

To be dead honest, when i got this laptop, I bought it without an OS, so I tried installing XP on it, but it would go to blue screen. And before I can read anything it would restart. (Again, I changed settings in BIOS and changed the boot order.) I'm able to use this laptop NOW because my friend was happy enough to let me borrow his HDD (It had XP pre-installed.) LOL! (Yeah I was desperate.) I really don't want to return this for repairs because school is coming up and I'm quite content with how things are atm. I just want to be able to use "MY" HDD because of the space (My friend's hard drive is a 5400RPM + 100GB).

OK, I think I got the right driver, but the problem is that it says no USB camera device found in INF...there is no image/camera category in my device manager. Does that mean it didn't detect a built-in camera? So there is something wrong the camera - that's just great, only had it for 2 days.
