In my NP9377, the fans seem to run very frequently even when just sitting on the desktop (nothing running). I have upgraded to the most recent HotKey software and the fans are set to Automatic within the software. Is that normal? If it matters, I have two Intel 730 SSDs and 880m sli in the machine.
Thanks.

Normal for the CPU, you can always use nvidia inspector to clamp the GPUs to P8 during idle.

So, here I am, 2014 with my "not so new now" Sager NP9370...
I did a clean install of W8.1 Pro x64.
1. Install system
2. Get all updates from Windows Update
3. Install WLAN+BT drivers from Sager
4. Install Chipset driver from Sager
5. Install Realtek Card Reader driver from Sager
6. Install Realtek Audio R2.74
8. Install PowerBIOS
7. Install 680M SLi drivers from Nvidia site
Anything missing?
Drivers from Sager are all 2012~2013, a bit old. =/ -

Looks good, only thing left is play some games
-
And benching. C'mon you know you want to see those crazy numbers
-
Anyone with 680M SLi having problems with the Nvidia Driver 337.88?
-
Does anyone know how to disassemble the NP9370 to repair or replace the trackpad?
Mine appears to have gone bad. Sometimes it doesn't function at all, and sometimes the mouse cursor flies all over the screen with no trackpad input. In the short term, I have had to resort to turning the trackpad off [Fn-F1] and using a portable mouse, but that's not the most effective solution for a portable device.
Any suggestions for how I might get this repaired or replaced? -

It's attached to the top casing, you could always check the cables for it are seated correctly.

Anyone having problems with NVIDIA DRIVER 344.11 on the 680M SLI?

What sort of problems?

Run some benchmarks before and after to see if there are any gains. -
Help! It is necessary to replace the motherboard, where to find a guide or video review, how to do it.

I have seen people ask if the this laptop can run a 1440p display, and it has been hard to find someone who had tested it.
It can via Display Port.
Now here is the fun part, it can also run one off the HDMI port.
Atm, I am running 2x 1440p displays (60hz) and the laptop screen, running windows 8.1, using AMD Radeon 7970m Crossfire.
Wish I had another DP or HDMI port so I could run 3x 1440p displays. -

Yes they should manage up to 60hz 2560x1600. It's just higher than that.

Hello
I have two question about this laptop.
1. Is it possible to install 2 9.5mm hard drive in the bay ?
2 I have a GTX680m 4Gb card installed already so is it possible to install second GTX 680m but ONLY with 2gb fo ram in SLI ?? They will be working together ? -

2GB cards are dell cards which I don't think will work at all anyway.

If you search online for Clevo P370EM service guide you should find it. Its also on the Clevo Website

Prema lists them on tech inferno too I believe for a lot of models.

Hi,
I have a problem with my Seagate Backup Plus Slim randomly disconnecting while copying files. Anyone else encounter this issue? Any help appreciated. I use the drivers from CLEVO Driver Download and USB3.0 driver for Windows 7. -
My sister's netbook gets the problem, but less often. My old desktop never had the problem. I've also tried multiple other peoples' drives (same seagate model I have) and it happens to their drives too. But my old model that needed a standalone power adapter? Worked 100% fine all the time. -
-
Wish I could help though. -
Since today after a restart my fans (CPU and GPU) dont work anymore.
This results in a instant overheat on start.
The vents are clean and there is no mechanical blocking.
Anyone got an idea to fix it?Last edited: Jan 4, 2015 -

Try doing a CMOS reset (remove all power, batteries and CMOS battery and ensure the fans are plugged in correctly.

Hi there,
I saw a 120hz monitor in action a few weeks ago and now I'm considering about buying one myself. Since the space on my desk is quite small and the p370em-models were shipped with 120hz-displays as well, I was wondering if there is a way to get the 120hz-panels from a reseller to replace it with my own "standard" full hd panel?
Thanks in advance! -
Hit up Eurocom or HIDevolution
Make sure you get 50-pin eDP cable
enjoypanta! likes this. -
Anyone upgraded from GTX 680m SLI to GTX 980m SLI yet?

Thanks for looking anyway! I found a reseller in my country that sells the LP173WF2-TPB1 - Model, but unfortunately it has a 30pin-connector. This thing wont work, right? The reseller is asking for a part number for the 50pin-panel, can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance! -
Clevo Extreme Gaming is a good place to get the panel in Europe/UK.
Eurocom and HIDevolution are good for the US. -
My reseller said that the LP173WF2-TPB1-panel he is offering has a 30-pin connector. Is he wrong or is his the model-number of the device he is offering wrong? Or are there two panels with the same name and different connectors?
edit: there actually seem to be two differnet panels with the same name out there - one with 30 and one with 50 pins. strange!Last edited: Apr 1, 2015 -
interesting... I did not see that info on www.panelook.com at all. I know there's other TP names, like TPB1, TPB2, etc.
-
While waiting for the panel to arrive I now have some other strange issue:
I never had problems with my battery, but when I today plugged my power supply off the laptop's back while it was running, the laptop instantly turned off. I then tried to restart the laptop with the battery only without any success. At the moment my laptop doesn't start/run without the power suppy plugged in. I looked up some information with HWINFO64, and it shows that the capacity of the battery is at 92,5%, so theres a wear level of 7,5%. So the battery should be capable of supplying the laptop.
I don't have an idea on how to start to check things with his issue, has someone got an idea? The battery is plugged in correctly and locked by the slider, but the laptop doesnt power up without the power supply plugged in. Currently the battery shows as fully charged. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Try taking the battery out along with the AC and leaving it for a while. If that does not resolve it you can try flashing the BIOS/EC but it is likely something in the battery is having issue when loaded (this could display a healthy voltage when not loaded).
-
Meanwhile I received my LP173WF2-TPB1-panel and when trying to swap my 60hz panel, I realized that my current 60hz panel is NOT connected through a 50pin cable, but a 30 pin cable! I've attached a picture for you to see, with my connected "old" panel at the top and the new panel with the wrong connector at the bottom of the picture. Is it even possible for me to connect a 120hz-screen to my laptop? I'm currently thinking about odering the same panel with a 30pin connector from the same seller.

Check if your motherboard also has the eDP port present. If it does you will need to order the eDP cable.
-
a 30-pin cable? That's not a 30-pin cable. That's a 40-pin LVDS cable. Which is what all non-120Hz panels sold with these machines use. It says "LVDS" on the cable too. You'll need to buy the 50-pin eDP cable. If that seller seriously thought that was a 30-pin eDP.... ugh. They need to learn.

What does your 60hz panel clock to?
-
how can I check if my motherboard has the port present? Shouldn't all p370em-motherboards be the same, regardless of the panel? I have the dual gpu option in any case that matters.
-
Thanks for all the info! How can I check if I can connect a 50-pin eDP cable to my motherboard (where do I have to look at) and where can I order one of these cables?
Thanks in advance! -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
You need to look for the connector, some machines may have it soldered, others do not.
-
I tried to, but I'm really clueless about where to look or where it could be connected. If I'm right, the LVDS cable should be connected to my primary GPU, but I couldn't find any cable there. Could it be hidden at the side of the GPU thats facing the motherboard?
-
The LVDS and eDP connector are on the motherboard beneath the top cover of the system.

Hello
Im looking for a LCD panel replacement for my P370EM. Latest AIDA show me that I have inside CMO1726 . Panel is glossy. Is there is something better than this ? My panel has some dust inside and this really does not good look. Any advice ?? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Any 40 pin lvds (bottom left connector as you look at the back) will work. The best of which IMO is the 90% gamut 17.3" AUO v4.
-
Thanks Meaker for the answer. I get AUO B173HW01 v.5. Is this panel will be working on my laptop ?? Second question is about SLI in my system . Im geting an error code 43 on the second GTX680m. - "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I try to reinstall again the newest driver from Nvidia but still have same problem. Is it possible tha this card i damaged ?? Gpu-z can see both card in the system.
