I know, it's quite a shift in "style" ^-^
For now though I just got my third king crab in MWO so time to unlock those skills![]()
Hopefully this is a little clearer:

So in essence, Meaker your just joking about getting a new laptop right?
I seriously doubt it can have a Titan X and weigh as little as a 330W PSU
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yet it does which is very cool. I've also been investigating water cooling which would be fun
-
Took a few hours off from destiny to run these real quick.

Every time he posts a benchmark I instantly feel like I have a very capable paperweight
Red Line, TomJGX, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
This needs to go back on topic and become civil. Flaming, name calling and flame baiting will not be tolerated. Improper posts deleted.

^ again, I feel like paperweight

You guys are really confused which amuses me greatly.
I think I'll be breaking my old machine down for parts as it will earn more that way
But I just could not resist moving over.
-
If I raid your stash for 980Ms would you hate me
-
I kind of had to cheat to figure it out
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Lol sadly I don't have a pile of cards just lying around
-
I didn't say I wanted spares... XD.
*drools at VRM-modded 980Ms* -
Did you add that missing cap on the left? Has it made a difference?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
In the end the thermal mass was too great for the equipment i have so no I have not managed to add it.

Kind of on the fence about buying 2 x 980M's to replace my 880M's. Is this a straight one for one swap with no special parts or modification needed? Do the 980M's produce the Same amount of heat as the 880M's tend to when gaming? Working overseas and this will more then likely be the last laptop i buy as i plan to finish up here in the next 2 years and head back home permanently.
-
I would wait till September/October.. X79 is old and only reason 980Ms are working is due to Prema.. BIOS support for this machine is horrible... In Q3/Q4 there will be replacement of this either with X99 or Skylake desktop processor...Santander likes this.
-
Can your run a firestrike bench with the same make up CPU/GPU speed wise?
-
That's awesome.. You got some good 980Ms here... What about 3D Firestrike Extreme? Can you get a 10000+ GPU score and beat @Meaker?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
He is talking GPU score though
-
theres news on x99 for clevo machine?
-
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Development on such a machine would take some time at the best of times.

Thanks.
It was more because i was not benching. Giving others the oportunity to sit on top for a while. -
You have posted quite a few good scores, but have deleted them. I always leave my best scores posted and remove the irrelevant ones. No sense in cluttering the board's with 30 plus entries is how. I see it. Does not matter if it's first or last, but r hat i posted something for that class.
-
Have you tried Asetek[1]?
[1] -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
No because you have to increase the fin area to make it more effective. The above only shares loads between the heatsinks which heatpipes do with no power for a pump and much less weight.

New Age of Prema! -
Such benchmark scores is certainly not from a laptop with BGA hardware
-
Should perhaps also written this
But many who have the Bga garbage dislike that I speak badly about their loved babies (BGA CPU and GPU).
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Well I have sold my 980M cards now, running on my spare k3000M now, soon I will fully migrate over, it has been fun
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Your combined score is suffering a little for some reason but otherwise a very nice score
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Maybe it was just my memory clocks giving me a bump that particular test *shrug*
-
I sure do love this game... and the Panther really tears it up, too.

Nice performance
Thought the pace of that game still seems fairly modern and slow compared to the older games.

what meaker you rid of your p570wm? switching to desktop soon?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Just a different build is all, bit of a hybrid setup
-
What about a hybrid bios? This is a miracle cure as more and more laptop manufacturers introduce this ..
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Funnily enough it's the bios causing issues at the moment lol.
-
In other words; Hit the nail on the head
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
It's not quite the same just similar lol, anyway this is getting a bit off topic as the P570WM has no such issue
-
Thank goodness...
-
The pacing is a bit similar to UT '99, from what I gather playing it. UT 2004 and Quake 3 were definitely faster games, though.
-
so how come you're rid of p570wm i know u have been waiting to rid of it for awhile now though but thought u got back into it due to gpu mod but u sold the gpus too lol
-
Have anyone tried to mix a GeForce with a Quadro? What's the catch?
-
Here's a nice comparison of 780M SLI and 980M SLI gaming. Both running stock GPU clocks, CPUs at 4.3GHz, 1080p, no vSync, maxed out with "Very High" preset.
ole!!! likes this. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
You can't SLI them I guess but otherwise they will both operate in the system. You could game on the geforce while the quadro is assigned to a CAD task lol.
