Yeah that is understandable. The Panther 5 is selling like hot cakes on Ebay but it seems I would not even get half my money for selling mine now. LOL. The 870DM-G looks good but lurking on the forums I see alot of ppl have heat issues with trying to keep the 6700K and the desktop 980 cool. With the Panther 5 i like the 4960X I have as well even though it doesnt boost performance for most games much but i do like to render video so it is a good CPU for me. I have not had any issues with the Panther 5 besides the video driver but otherwise so far it is the best notebook i have ever had which is another reason i hesitate to sell it. I am running the 980M on stock speeds and i am getting triple digit FPS in most games so i do not see a need to overclock them. To sell it for crackhead prices is very hurtful and disturbing. LOL. I am gonna see what Clevo launches with Eurocom and the Broadwell-E processors along with the GTX 1080M in SLI. If it is proven that we can get the 6850K or the 6900K with a stable 4.0GHZ or more overclock in a laptop chassis I will consider that upgrade. I am also anticipating a 870DM refresh or another chassis with GTX 1080 with 1 or 2 in sli and that would be the new sweet post for us enthusiasts.

its a sad sad thing broadwell E would b dead end and any pcie nvme ssd in that machine would cap at 1.6GB/s unless a direct lane from cpu.

skylakeE on the other hand, the socket is HUGE, we can only hope and pray lol.

Yeah, it seems some have poorly fitting heat sinks. But, I had that problem with the Panther and I currently have that problem with the P750ZM. This seems to be an area of opportunity for Clevo. There's no good excuse for them to sell machines with sloppy fitting heat sinks. Knock wood, neither the Eurocom Sky X9 review unit nor my own P870DM have any issues like that. The CPU and GPU heat sinks fit nicely and thermals are excellent.

It can fit two 2.5" 9.5mm drives and two M.2 NVMe drives, it's not bad.

I think it can hold around 6TB of storage whereas the P570WM was able to hold 8TB.

Technically 9tb if you soldered on the msata slot. However it was a beast in size that makes even 18.4 inch machines look small.

*crosses fingers for a MXM 3.0b 1080M to come out and then get lucky with bios support* I fear that MXM 3.0b will be dropped and we will only have a GTX 1080 for notebooks, which the P570WM won't support. Sick of my badly made 880M's that crash all the time.

If 980M's end up being the last card to ever work in the P570WM, anyone who wants to sell me some message me or something once we know for sure that 980M's are the last card.

Nope, the P570WM has a 'msata' port. But to make it work you have to solder some components on the mobo. It should be between page 160 and 180.

two nvme pcie ssds in raid 0, two sata 6gbps in raid0 for storage/work space and then two more sata either 6gbps or 3gbps for just storage.

so some how skylake-E turned from 3000+ pins to 2066. maybe server side of things with 6 channel memory will have 3000 + pins. with 2066 there might be a chance to see clevo do somethings with it no?

there are already nvidia 1080 gtx cards from clevo and msi shipping in systems. not sure if they can be purchased individually yet. (was that what you were asking? when are the individual cards for sale?) Also note, nvidia dropped the 'm' from the model.

    Dunno.

There is discussion on the P870DM3 and P870DM owner's threads people discussing if that is indeed the case, or if MSI cards will work in the original P870DM. Not sure if or how that applies to the P570WM, but the discussions there may be beneficial.

1080 is way too fat lol. amd's r490m cards are only similar performance of 980m so may as well go for 980m at that point or just wait and hope theres 1180m or something. though i say that, pcie 4.0 might be coming out soon in a yr or two and that might change the entire mxm socket.

A single MSI no power connector 1070 might fit which would be a nice fit for the machine. An interesting mod would be that card and two heatsinks in place with the 2nd fan spliced into the supply for the first and the heatsinks linked by heatpipes to maximise cooling.

    Hello.
I currently own a Sager NP9570 recently I've been getting low frame rate issues while gaming. This started on Aug. 31 2016. My GPU Temps range from 88.0-90.00 Celsius and this is the first time I've experienced this issue with a Sager. Are there any tutorial videos about how to take apart fans and such? I may need to apply thermal paste on a single GPU, but I don't know what component I should attach first.

    -Geforce GTX 880M
    -Geforce GTX 880M
    -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4820K CPU @3.70GHz
    -8.00GB RAM (7.92 usable )
    -1920x1080, 60Hz
    - Version 372.70
    -Windows 10 Home.

It's all very simple, remove the base cover screws (none hidden), remove it and you have direct access to the fans which are held on with 3 screws into the heatsinks. Remove both the GPU fans and clean the heatsinks with compressed air. See if that fixes the issue first.

I don't think the E7 series are supported, only E5. However, if you have the oppurtunity to test it (like if you can return the CPU within 30 days or something) I think it would be great to know.

Ah, ok! I used a small brush and air cans to each and every fan. Also used some tweezers, pulled out a string of dust that was wrapped around the circular part of one of my fans. Now I got my FPS back with 66 degrees celsius!! So simple! Thank you!!

    Hey Guys .

I am having trouble with my Eurocom Panther 5 (Clevo P570WM) with dual 980M that is in my signature. I have also been getting low frame rate issues while gaming. My display seems to get blurry with certain browsers and i am getting lag with mouse inputs and internet browsing. This started on Aug. 31 2016. I have been checking the temps with HWINFO and CPUZ and they appear to be fine. I have installed the latest Nvidia 372.70 drivers but the problems still persist. i have rollback and used older drivers and the issue still persists. I am aware that Windows 10 may have updated the machine with the anniversary update with me forgetting to stop it. Is anyone else having this issue? is there a workaround at this point? or is my display going bad? Thanks.

Check your scaling options and use programs like MSI afterburner/Intel XTU to properly see what the hardware is doing during low frame rate situations.
