Thank you for the quick reply.

Do you happen to know, am I on the latest bios? The clevo site is badly out of date.

Not off the top of my head, have you contacted your reseller about getting the latest file as they are usually the best source?

unfortunately they're pretty hopeless for this, they can't even provide the drivers. I think they just got a handful of these laptops in, sold them, then moved on.

I spent ages trying to get a second power supply from them for the laptop, and eventually gave up. Still haven't sorted that out :(

19v barrel 5.5mm x 2.5mm is the voltage and connector for the PSU.

Reach out to another local reseller and see if they can help you out with a BIOS file :)

    Hi Everyone, i bought a Clevo 650 RS-G half a year ago.

At the start my speakers were working fine but then all of a sudden (i think after swithching from windows drivers to the realtek drivers the vendor supplied) my speakers didnt work anymore.
The Headphone and microfone Jacks are still working fine though.
In windows its also showing me that sound is coming over the speakers ( green bar) but nothing comes out.

I have tried everything i can think of, reinstalling all kinds of audio drivers i could find, wiping the drivers, etc..
(On my Laptop there are stickers of Creative Soundblaster X-fi 5, Texas Instruments Burr-Brown Audio and Sabre HiFi)

Im hoping someone had a similar problem or has an idea for a solution.

So after a month-long RMA process with @Eurocom Support I have finally gotten my P650RS back with a new motherboard & GPU, only to have it be even worse off than before. Getting multiple random BSODs a day, with no rhyme or reason, all seemingly related to a driver issue that WhoCrashed and Driver Verifier can't pinoint and that doesn't get fixed from reinstalling Windows. I'm out of ideas :/

Compressed air with a small screwdriver in the fan/fans to stop them spinning should work fine.

Into fan intakes first, then back towards the machine to avoid dust being blown back into the chassis.

I tried both, but it seemed as though the problem was much worse in hybrid mode. My system is currently in the shop with Allen Zheng due to multiple BSODs and Windows issues that I couldn't seem to resolve, but when it gets back, do you have any tips for smoother gameplay?

From what I've seen around here, its' not recommended.

Update: I was able to flash a Schenker XMG U507 BIOS on an Origin Eon 15-X system.
    What changed:

(a). The boot logo. Instead of Origin's, its' now XMG.

(b). Some issues, such as the Intel Hyperthreading bug, have been fixed.

    Issues:

None, so far. Will keep testing.

Notes: The KB EC version remains the same as the older BIOS version. Not sure if this is an issue. If someone here knows how to update the EC separately, let us know.

Make sure G-sync is running but otherwise it should be butter smooth under normal gaming conditions (EG super resolution up to 8k is generally not recommended :p )

Anyone have a link to a good EC file? My fans seem to be constantly running, even on idle with temps in the 40s

I'm in dedicated, but do the fans really need to kick on at 42 degrees? My ideal settings would be for fans to startup at 60 degrees and turn off at 50. I tried to set these parameters in the control center with no success.

Go to hybrid mode, that should help reduce internal temps and limit the fans kicking in. The lower the temperatures of the components the longer the lifespan of the computer, the failure rate doubles with every 10C rise in general with electronics IIRC.

Guys I need your advice. I never had a problem with repaste but... yesterday I replaced stock clevo thermal paste with my Grizzly Kryonaut and... (temps on this stock paste we're lower but still not so close being low as most ppl are reporting to achieve in P650).

And... what the hell? Faulty paste or I screwed the job?

FN+1 temps 92 to 98*c with throttling on cores 0/1/2 and like 91*c on 1070

It might be too much of paste on CPU&GPU? I used to put it (I think) quite much in P870DM.

When I bought P650HS-G I remember that max temp were 92*c for CPU and like late 70's for GTX 1070.

Might heatsink have too weak connection with CPU and GPU die? Something between it and mobo?

If you have lost in the Clevo heatsink lottery, rather go for Phobya NanoGrease Extreme/ICD or fix the fits. It can also be a bad paste job or pads who raise HS from Cpu and Gpu die. Open up and check how thermal paste is spread. Repaste with more or less thermal paste vs. what you see from previous paste job. And don’t forget the pads. Check everything.

    Ok. Everything is fine now.

    Idle 32-37*c (was 50-60*c)
FN+1 (1h stress test Armored Wafare no fps lock all ultra): 73*c CPU, 70*c GPU (was 98*c & 92 for GPU)

    Issues solved:
    1) Yup. Too much paste. Before next application of Kryonaut I tested heatsink spread & pressure with MX2 and then I've applied Kryonaut with perfect amount of it.
    2) The biggest issue. When I disassembled it I've looked into fans. And since they're ultra-thin i thought I will open them. From the outside they looked pretty clean but inside... Wall of fur that belongs to my cat. Revenge of Fur. o_O

Ultra quiet, much cooler CPU & GPU and chassy now is far more cooler than before.

Always remember to clean fans and inner part of heatsink, much more often than paste! It's very easy in P650 to clean them.

Clocks are fine, but performance isn't.
My score (but with 7700HQ) also defeated 15K barrier, weaker CPU balanced by better GPU score. With 1949Mhz. :/
    https://www.3dmark.com/fs/14449974

I would say that something is bottlenecking GPU a little. It should have 19,4k+. And combined score should be also higher then.

EDIT: WAIT, what?! TDP unlock? Is there something now I don't know? I thought 1000 series cannot be flashed. :>

After the tdp unlock temps went from 75C to 86C max (but note this is with a +164 on the core and+555 on the memory)

power usage is about 145 150 ish watts with max 164 watts after a 45 mins bf1 run. which I think is a stressful test, most other games don't consume as much power or increase the temps as much.

Guys, have you got any idea if I can get surround 5.1 sound from digital output? Is the sound blaster capable of decoding it? I have seen some other people having dts option in realtek drivers, but I can't find such in mine.

Hello, I have a Clevo P650RSG with the following equipment:
    I7 6700
    GTX1070 8GB
    500GB SSD
    16GB RAM
Now to my problem, at first I had a BSOD with
    Video TDR failure nvlddmkm SYS
After switching to the bios of the Mshybrid mode, the error is gone.
Now my computer freezes with a black and starts again as soon as I start a game and play for 3 minutes.
I have tested my graphics card with FURMARK + Prime95 on the same Time and it has a Maximum 82Grad and the CPU runs under prime to a maximum of 92 degrees....
    Fan and thermal paste changed...
    Does anyone have an idea?
and is there vllt a new BIOS?
    My version P65_67RSRP
    1.05.03
    VBIOS: 86.04.2 A. 00.0 F

Okay, so I have a strange issue it seems with my P650RS-G and the most recent Intel and NVIDIA graphics drivers. In hybrid mode, whenever I run a GPU-intensive task like Furmark, I will get a BSOD with nvlddmkm.sys which points to a faulty graphics card or driver. When I switch to discrete mode, I no longer get these BSOD's. Does anybody else have this issue?

No BSODs, but I have encountered issues with a few games (destiny 2, WoW and FF14) crashing in discrete mode.

Try with a single ram stick, optimus puts extra stress on the main memory bus.

    Hi all,

I've been having some recent unfortunate problems with my computer completely crashing, no BSOD, just hard computer freeze which requires a hard restart.

    Some relevant information:

I have the p650rs-G from Eurocom with the 1070 i7-6820HK.

    BIOS 1.05.05

Latest drivers(happens with all different drivers that I've tried).

Undervolt set to -99.6 with throttlestop.

And I think I know for sure that it isn't overheating... I've seen temps go maybe around 80 degrees while playing. So I'm not sure what could possibly be the issue here.

The only possible thing I can think of is that my undervolt is perhaps too high?

But I used to have it at -150 and with the recent drop, the crashes are still happening.

There are two various possibilities when my computer crashes, and I have zero clue as to how it happens or which one occurs.

They both occur with my earphones plugged in, just various results.

    1) the sound goes full blast and absolutely destroys my ears(I feel this could actually be dangerous as it plays like a crashing loop sound)

    2) sound is the crashing sound at normal volume.

Are there any tests that I could possibly run or someone with similar problems could help me?

Thank you all for the help!

First contact your reseller for the current BIOS. I believe that the most recent (and supposedly final) version is 1.05.07 or some variation thereof.

Also download whocrashed to determine the culprit.

Thank you, I will ask my reseller for the latest BIOS and see if that helps!

And I have used that before! Unfortunately I cannot diagnose it because it's a critical error of Event ID 41, Task Category 63 which is kernel power.

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

So I have no cluse as to what it is.

Searching in google doesn't yield and proper results for me either to try and diagnose.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm pretty sure stock settings for the exception of Undervolting -150, and -99 where it still crashes.

However my reseller has given me the latest BIOS and EC, so I will try flashing them and will see if anything changes.
