Minimum 5 degrees difference. Depends on heatsink quality and the old application. Commonly up to 10C degrees difference. Some more :)

I'm facing this problem too. I'm on stock bios. Some times it enters, others not. I don't know how to access via Advanced Reboot. What is the command to do that?

Open up your laptop and check for "pumpout" - basically you would look for ICD oozing out from around the heat sink. You might have to do some work to get a better contact between heatsink and silicon if this is happening.

I thought maybe Gelid GC extreme is more prone to this problem, but I'm not sure. It may just be tricky getting the heat sinks aligned correctly... =(

EDIT: also be careful if you go with CLLU ... a little of that on the circuit board will likely kill your laptop!

Actually I tried something today. I enabled the keyboard lights and during boot I was able to access the BIOS... is it possible that the CCC is interfering in something?

My stable undervolt seems to be -140mv. Will see how much would that help

Ok thanks! Good to know I'm not the only one with hot right palm rest.

Yup. m.2 as primary drive and hdd as the secondary. I came from a MSI GX60 and it was a lot thicker and didn't feel any heat from either the 2.5 inch SSD or HDD.

Thanks for your advice regarding the CPU.
One more question. Thera are 2 M2 slots for SSD's. I read that if you use an PCIe SSD that the other M2 slot can't been used for een M2 SATA SSD. Is this correct, or wil they both work with reduced speed?
If so, it is then beter to use and M2 SATA SSD to keep the other slot free?

Run something like HWMonitor or HWiNFO and see what the voltage on the CPU cores is. If you undervolt by -125 and it says -0.125 then you are good to go.

There is not as far as any of us know. The only way to control the fans seems to be CCC, which is satisfactory for some people and annoying for others.

Man I wish this would work for me. My system remembers the settings only once after I set them in bios. After restart the battery is fully reloaded.

Worse than this. A guy fomr XMG support whom I wrote to says, that this bug does not exist?!

    Best regards

I meanwhile recorded a vid that shows the issue. I tried both settings - hibernate on and off. The result is the same:

P.S.: I still believe this is not a XMG but a CLEVO issue.

Hello everyone, I received my P650RS with the 120 Hz screen from LPC Digital on the 7th.

Special thanks to Larry@LPC-Digital for making sure my laptop arrived in time for my flight with days to spare! The screen only became available on the 30th so it took just 7 days to get to me (including 3-day shipping) which is incredibly fast. Great job LPC!

I'll post my measurements soon, but for the time being know that with -150 mV to the CPU core and cache I can run a Prime95 "small" test and all four CPU cores will only reach 70-71 degrees (ratio x31) with fans set to Entertainment/Automatic (3,700 RPM). GPU gets to 45 degrees. I'll undervolt some more later to see when it becomes unstable, but so far I'm extremely impressed with this laptop's thermals.

I haven't stress tested the GPU yet.

If there's anything in particular you guys are interested in let me know.

Flexicharge only sticks for one boot. It has nothing to do with hibernate (software). It is a bios bug and I sure hope Sager fixes their ****. 8153-S here.

MSHYBRID = The laptop with use Intel HD when no 3D app or Accelerated app is open, and will automatically switch to NVIDIA when you open a 3D/Accelerated app, this is good for battery. In MSHYBRID mode GSYNC wont work.

DISCRETE = Only NVIDIA card, more power drain, GSYNC works.

So use MSHybrid when on battery and use DISCRETE when plugged to AC.

What's the best way to check if you're undervolting too much? And how long should stability tests be run for to give you a good degree of confidence?

    No idea, mine came pre-installed.

Is anyone else annoyed by the exhaust design? Why the hell didn't they exhaust both CPU and GPU out the back?

I love everything about this machine (had mine since early September) except for this design flaw. I just don't get it.

Out of curiosity: would it be a good idea to install the Nvidia driver while in Discrete mode? I mean, I've tried installing it while in MS Hybrid and Discrete modes, but found no difference. Maybe someone has found issues I haven't encountered yet.

    Anyone have the problem below:

Uninstalled Nvidia drivers, then ran a Display Driver Uninstall tool I found in Guru3d (to ensure a clean uninstall). Now, the Nvidia driver installer can't detect my videocard when laptop is in Discrete mode, but I have no such issues when in MSHybrid mode. As a result, the driver's installed when in MSHybrid, but not in Discrete.

I'm trying to overclock my 6820hk and I keep getting throttled whenever I go over 3.8ghz. I can easily get 3.8ghz stable on all 4 cores at -0.100mv on adaptive voltage, but whenever I try 3.9 or 4.0ghz, regardless of voltage settings, the laptop clocks back to 3.6ghz on the benchmarks even though it is stable and shows 4.0ghz at idle in windows.

Any ideas? I can't figure it out.

    Thanks in advance.
