The CC app reports a wrong version, it´s been like that for sometime. It seems who ever is compiling it keeps forgetting to change it.

Thanks. I was doing the remove fan tables trick and now my HDMI out port stopped working. Odd. Like my device doesn't even see it anymore. MiniDP out works though.

I remember that bug on the previous BIOS version, would be fixed after a restart.
Are you on the latest BIOS?

I am on the BIOS that came with the device, which seems to be the latest provided by Eluktroinics(there site doesn't even show any other bios rev for this model) The HDMI port was working perfectly until I did the bios reset.. Maybe I need to do that again.

    1.05.0TEI1 is the bios.

    No change after reboots/etc.

For the P650RP6-G the latest bios is 1.05.07 and EC1.05.06
For P670RS-G or P650RS-G the latest bios is 1.05.05 and EC1.05.03

At least i think those are the latest.
If your version is based on the initial release you are missing some bug fixes, one will even include vbios (i think).

Please check if your problem also happens if you change from MSHybrid to DISCRETE and vice-versa.

The problem does happen with both MSHybrid and Discrete. I've reached out to Eluktronics asking for a newer bios version but have yet to hear back. They do not have any bios listed on their site for this mode not does the Clevo site for Model :p65xRP6.

Try older drivers (and do not let Windows update to newest)

In case you don't know how to set that, just make sure you set that option in the control panel:

Go to the Control Panel on your computer. Then go to System and Security > System > Advanced system settings. Click the Hardware tab, click Device Installation Settings, and select the “No" and save changes.

What memory do you have installed? Are you running the CPU stock, or have your overclocked or undervolted it? I ask because Synaptics drivers are frequently involved in a BSOD if your memory or CPU overclock (or XMP profile) is not 100% stable. Not sure why that is, but if you are running memory with an XMP profile, for example, set the BIOS to default memory profile and see if the problem fixes itself. I've had nothing but problems with the P870DM3 using XMP 3000 profile and very frequently the Synaptics drivers BSOD you are seeing I see as well. If I set my own custom overclock values for the RAM or use default memory profile all of the BSOD issues go away. If you are getting too aggressive with under-volting the CPU (which seems to be pretty popular with some folks) the same thing can happen.

I've had the p650rs for about a week now and it is an amazing laptop. The backlight bleed is minimal and despite it being summer here in Australia right now, the laptop only very occasionally breaks 80 degrees on the cpu and gpu under heavy load.

I only have one issue, the sabre dac very rarely seems to work. Most of the time when I use the laptop it seems like it isn't using it. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a way to fix it? The dac and amp are nice when they work, however they are working less and less often. Also even at 100% and 20db gain people on the other end of skype/discord calls are complaining that my mic is very quiet.

Hi. I bought a new computer and did not play with any settings. I did not touch any of the frequencies. I just set up the necessary drivers. After playing the game for a long time, the computer was locked and reset itself. When I looked at the minidump folder, I saw the above error. Some people say it's because of Clevo Control Center. I dont know what to do. (sorry for bad english)

    Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you 120Hz 1080p TN (5ms) screen owners were experiencing some graphical oddities. I am seeing heavy banding (a good example is skyrim's main menu smoke) as well as the grey-scale being off and producing more dark green colors around the darker greys. It's fairly noticeable and bothersome, but not terrible. I'm just wondering if any of your screens have the same appearance or if there is a problem just with my screen.

Well there is a solution. I have noticed that since i have turned off "gpu scaling" in BIOS my battery times are much better (nearly 7 hours of web browsing on my current P651RE3-G). You can try this trick too. Maybe you won't get 10 hours of video but 5 i think is possible...

Ps maybe in next week i will get my RS with 120hz so will post here some info. Anyone knows good and easy to use software checking for rgb, and so on?

Aaaack! Just had a very disturbing crash. The screen froze while play BL:TPS and started to fade. The crash report from "who crashed" is pretty ambiguous. This is pretty worrying ... any thoughts?

On Mon 12/19/2016 12:05:39 AM your computer crashed
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: Unknown (0xFFFFA4869044A004)
    Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFFA4869044A004, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80898090BF4)
    Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.

I've had some crashes with WoW before, but it was the game's problem. If it only happens once or with that sofware i wouldn't worry, if it's constant than I'd worry

Hey! I had the same issue and after a long research I found out this: At first I uninstalled Synaptics but the same error came back but was called "HKK.something". This is basically the same error that occurs when you uninstall Synaptics as this is not the problem solver.
Here is the fix : 1) uninstall Synaptics, 2) go to this link : http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...r-skylake-laptops.797648/page-7#post-10380671 and check D2 Ultimas reply to my post (post #66), 3) follow his steps, 4) install the Synaptics driver again and all should work and you won't get any problems!

Do you know if the laptop will display output to an external screen?
Been trying to boot for 30 minutes now, no success.
Will update the BIOS as soon as I get back home (if I am ever getting a display signal again...) which is tomorrow.

Tried the HDD off after x seconds and Windows Fast Boot was disabled.
Hopefully the other fixes will solve the problem if I ever get display.
Worrying thing is it has been getting worse in a week's time.

    -

After over an hour of trying to boot in total it finally displays again. Instantly going to install Intel Rapid Storage and update the CC.
Where can I find the latest BIOS? Can't find it on the Clevo website, also is it safe for me to just flash the latest Clevo BIOS if there is any? As my reseller is Multicom.no (See picture).

I really don't want to turn this thing off again, but I have to since I'm travelling back home by plane.

I've seen the crash before with a different game. Temps were higher then so I thought it was XTU and purged that.

Now I wonder if it is Chrome - I'll check to see if it is using hw acceleration. ..

I recently purchased an NP8152-S from LPC-Digital and dual boot with Windows10 and Ubuntu. However, on Ubuntu, the touchpad is undetected.

I am wondering if you have any issues getting Ubuntu up and running with regards to the touchpad.

EDIT: So does my 144 Hz Asus TN monitor, but not my TV. #justTNpanelthings

Hey. Got some question. The only bios and ec update i could find for my 650rp6 was from mysn in germany. https://www.mysn.de/secure/userarea/download.asp since there was no readme.txt like mentioned i just did what i did, the bios via winflash, the ec via command promt. Bios update was fine, had an old .01 on it. But the EC (what is EC anyway) was kinda hairy, no confirmation. After restart my system kinda changed and i cant for example switch my graphics from discrete to hybrid anymore. System starts, but wether bios or control center, intel hd graphics always starting. Any help? Any readme for the EC? Or explenation what it even is?

Contact your reseller and only flash files provided by them to avoid firmware corruption/bricking the system.

I think I had the same problem on my NP8173.
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/posts/10382211/

It just stopped after a while, but it may have been because of an NVIDIA driver update past the latest Clevo version. It's really an annoying yet mysterious issue, Meaker didn't know what was up, neither did Sager via XOTIC. It did happen (or perhaps I simply noticed it happening) after a BIOS update that changed my logo to the Clevo stock "Style Note", reverting back to the Old Sager BIOS did nothing so I ended up updating to the new Sager BIOS with a file from their email support (that didn't help though.)

I didn't check while the issue was happening, sadly. I do remember I tried updating both the NVIDIA and Intel drivers (which can only be done in hybrid) multiple times to no avail.

I wonder if it was an odd conflict between the two, any display issues I always advise switching modes as it can instantly narrow the cause.

I would buy it again )P651\1070), but I gotta admit that throttlestop is a big deal, without it I would hesitate slightly more and perhaps prefer P67X with 1060 since it has the best cooling, lowest noise and lowest temps of the 4 different versions.

    Hi, good afternoon!

First of all, thanks to all of you for supporting us, Clevo master race users! Hehe
I wish to know if I update my Eluktronics (P650RP-6, no gsync, 1060) with bios/ec from XMG, will everything be ok? ( https://www.mysn.de/driver/XMG/XMG_P507_P707/BIOS/).

I guess I have to use this two files:
    ( XMG_P507_1060_BIOS_1.05.07a.zip and XMG_P507_1060_EC_1.05.06TR2.zip)

My PC runs really fast, but I would love a better fan curve (less noise, I hope!)

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

    Cheers!

PS: Will it change from Eluktronics logo (@ Windows boot/UEFI) to XMG? Will it change to a "CLEVO" logo? Maybe will it become blank? Thanks again!

Did this one page earlier and nearly bricked my laptop :D but just because i couldnt find any readme.txt like stated in the changelog file from xmg (mysn) and did it like thought its right. All done in windows, and it was wrong. Flashed bios, and after that ec. Wrong. Couldnt change graphic from hybrid to seperate after that but fan speed was much better like written in the changelogs and in the notebookcheck test mentioned below (and in comments?), performance was nearly the same. On second try (i found a how to site on mysn) i disabled uefi to start from bios usb stick and my screen stayed black after reboot. SH** i thought. But funny thing, my hdmi port still worked and showed xmg bootscreen now.. could start from usb stick, do the flashes right and everything works like a charm now. Much talk, here is the how to:

    https://www.mysn.de/addon/shopuser.asp?link=faq#BIOS

the files you linked are the same i took, but i have g sync and the p507 from xmg does too. I think they dont have a no g sync version. Ive red the pascal clevo models got their own g sync modules, not like the older 900 models which just used a modified eDP standard protocol.
So if it doesnt work, its probably because of the g sync difference. I believe you can still make a copy of your old bios and ec with the tools in the zip, but im not sure.

since my 650rp6 with 1060 is from a low price reseller which will never release a bios update i alrdy thought i have to take one from xmg or somebody else (still waiting to get my hands on prema bios but it seems theres still no release).

The new xmg logo is nicer anyway, the older *whatever*-store logo i had was boring.

    Good luck
