PSU overload protection cut off your supply if it detect sudden spike. Furmark can draw incredible amount of power in matter of second.

    DO NOT USE FURMARK!!!!!!

Understood, but really weird the standard Clevo PSU doesn't seem to mind...

Would getting a 330W PSU be able to handle it you think?

lol I find it amazing that you can let it go so many times, the one time I had to RMA my zenfone 2 back for 2 weeks (also the lesson of the story is that their phone sucks a lot) I got super annoyed with the substitute phone. Iove it or hate it, the easiest and arguably the best repair service comes from apple...

I thought I was made in the shade. I have a 650SG, and after searching far and wide, I finally found an original samsung LCD Panel (the LTN156HL01-102). Well, to my surprise, the actual SG connection is a 40 pin (I wrongly assumed it would be the same connection as the 650SE which is 30pin eDP).

Anyhow, does anyone know what the best 40 pin IPS screen to get would be? I currently have the LG LP156WF4 in there.

Also, I'm assuming I can't just swap out cables, right? Lastly, if anyone wants a great original Samsung 30pin Screen for a good price, DM me. Otherwise, eBay here I come.

So the HP ultrabook should be collected tomorrow according to what I was told yesterday, but I've had no confirmation thus far from the courier which is quite concerning.

As for the little Acer, well it's pretty good. Relative to the price. I won't blab about it in this thread as obviously that's off topic. I can say without doubt though that if you ever are thinking about getting a Transcend JetDrive Lite - DON'T! The darn thing worked fine for all of two hours before dying on me for no obvious reason. All I'd been doing is transferring music files over, which is perfectly normal usage scenario. So that's having to be returned to Amazon as well. So many returns! What is going on lately? Jeez. Technology doesn't like me at the moment :(

    Hello everyone !

I'm a new p650se owner. Everything works perfectly, I'm very happy with my purchase but I couldn't find a way to see the time remaining with the battery. Is it something solved with a new version of the bios ? Or is it driver related ?

    Thanks !

As far as i know it is because Clevo Mainboards are build without that Feature. Use Software like Battery Bar. It is better then nothing.

so i just repasted my np8652 with gc extreme. with fan maximum the xtu stress test pushed it to 91-95c, there was no throttling. today's temp is 34-35c at the time of this test. I am not sure if i redo it, it would drop the temp any lower, at least not at this hot weather. now off to repasting the gpu.

That's not too bad for a stress test if the ambient is high.

Also placed my order with Eurocom for an M5 Pro with the 1080p IPS screen, 970m and 1TB 5400rpm. I will be adding an 850 Evo 256gb when it arrives. Ordered it 2 days ago, and according to rep it ships tomorrow, should be in my hands by Friday. Great price too in Canada especially with student discount. Reflex notebook wanted an arm and a leg for an np8651, which im not about haha.

From what ive read, Eurocom tends to ship systems out quickly at least in the recent year or so. I also like that they apparently use IC diamond as the default TIM when building the systems. Also that the IPS panel is the default panel too, not some cheap TN.

Gpu temp is more manageable. I run heaven benchmark for an hour. On auto fan settings temps were around 83c and with max fan it dropped to 71c. Ambient is around 25c now.

Anybody had some of these on Win10?
Happened random wake from sleep followed by a two finger gesture on the touchpad. It has happened before and it is highly irregular.

    BSOD: syntp.sys - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    Driver: Synaptics v. 19.0.13.0 from 18-06-2015

UPDATE: Installed the latest from Synaptic 19.0.19 instead, we will see if it's fixed.

FYI: Win10 will not install the latest by itself, but rather 19.0.13, which seems to be faulty.

Furthermore make sure to set the "Palm Check setting" as low as you can tolerate. It makes the touchpad much more responsive and two finger scrolling works even when the fingers are close together. Also consider increasing the scroll speed, since it is really slow.

Ok my new P650SE has been fixed and I'm in business. First thing I noticed is, the LG IPS screen makes me dizzy. The contrast seems to be really weird. My P150HM had a calibrated B156HW01 v4 so it's not a terrible screen. I can't really stand the color of the screen at moment, all the videos and game look really weird.

Just got my Eurocom M5 Pro in this morning. Been playing with it all day, even to the extent of not getting sleep for my night shift haha. I dont even know how I am still awake!

You can read my impressions here in my Eurocom feedback thread. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/experience-with-eurocom-and-m5-pro-clevo-p650se.780721/

It runs extremely cool and on par with what HTWingnut saw in his review. They are definitely using IC Diamond or something equally as good from factory. Also I got a free upgrade to 4720HQ and Plain brushed lid with no Eurocom stamping. I am one happy customer. I havent broken 62C on the GPU side when fully stressed in gaming and benchmarks. And 86C in prime95 stressing. All this was with a -50mV UV.

This thing is awesome and surprisingly thin.

Ya I'm a little disappointed about that too actually. I asked Mark from Eurocom about that, he said they aren't participating in the Nvidia voucher program. But he would see if the marketing team could help me out. No response so far.

P.S. let me know how your temps are since your using a 980m instead. I'm curious how different they'll be from mine.

I have the 980m. As far I understand its warmer that the 970m. On auto fan settings temps raises on mine to 83c. On max fan it drops to 71c. To stress gpu I used heaven benchmark on extreme settings and kept it running for an hour. I repasted both cpu gpu with gc extreme.

I get mid 70's while gaming and in benchmarks they were a little lower. That's with a mild oc on the gpu. Don't know what paste Xmg is using but I bought some MX5 just in case it's needed.

Guys, I've got a question. I'm about to buy a Clevo p650se from a reseller here where I live. Thing is, I do know that Clevo hasn't released drivers for Windows 10. I do know that XMG already released them for their P505 which is the same laptop as mine (651 I ly changes are in the chassis).

So I was wondering if I could use them on my laptop, even if it's not bought in them?

The drivers for Windows 10 are all available, they are on the Sager website. I'm running them without any issue so far. The only driver that is missing is the fingerprint reader, you need to download the Acer one so you can use it with Windows biometric login.

At the risk of saying something stupid, why use the Acer driver for the fingerprint reader? Why not just use the latest available Clevo driver, even if it it's only for W8.1?
And if so, what models' Acer driver should we use? Link perhaps?
Or maybe even a Station-Drivers variant that works just as well?

I supose that the drivers for P505 are the same ones as the Sager one...

Yeah you can use the XMG driver, the Sager one will work as well.

@tijgert the default drivers for the fingerprint reader isn't compatible with WBF, so you can't use it to replace your password. The XMG or Acer drivers are compatible. The manufacturer refuses to provide the correct one due to some issue with certain laptop OEM....

Anyone tried 75hz oer 60hz refresh rate on the AUO B156HAN01.2? Intel graphics drivers gives me the possibility to change my refresh rate, but I don't know if it will be stable.

Hello everybody, I've enjoyed my Sager NP8652-S since the end of April and have not had any major issues with it. I have updated to Windows 10 without any issues as well except for the airplane mode not working. This however was corrected with a Windows 10 auto update which was pretty cool.

I started going through the forums lately and saw a link for some Windows 10 specific driver updates from Sager so I have downloaded those and am about to start updating those drivers.

But before I update those drivers... will there be a BIOS update and can somebody link me to a legit and reliable BIOS update. I have not updated my BIOS ever and am not sure where to get it and what I should do before or after updating a BIOS.

Updating the BIOS should really just be done if you need to do it. With drivers you can update those as you'd like. But with the BIOS its good to follow the old saying "don't fix it if its not broken".

    Hi all,

I have a Sager NP8651 (clevo p650se). I'm having problems with the Bluetooth. I think it started when I installed Windows 10, although I'm not positive that it worked with 7 or 8.1. What's happening is that the device shows up in device manager and in the Bluetooth settings it says it's on and searching for devices. However, it won't detect either my phones. The phones can detect each other, which leads me to believe it's the laptop, and not the phones, that has a problem.

I've tried uninstalling drivers, reinstalling them, installing older versions, etc. None of that seems to help. It will still show up and say it's on, searching, and can be discovered, but nothing shows up. I've been using the prema bios v1 for this model, and I'm not sure if that would have an effect. Also, it's the Killer 1525 device, not the Intel one. If someone has any suggestions or wants to know more info on my laptop's specs, please let me know.

I contacted LPC Digital where I bought the laptop, and he referred me here so I'm hoping someone might be able to help! Thank you.

I had the same problem with the bluetooth. It was really hard to finally get it working, first I had to disable automatic updates (using gpedit.msc) since it keeps reinstalling the bluetooth drivers. Uninstalled bluetooth from programs & features and reboot, opened device manager > clicked view tab > show hidden devices and checked to see if there were still bluetooth drivers or any thing related to it left. Used ccleaner to clear any leftover registries and then installed the drivers through device manager (I used the windows 7 drivers since it also includes the full bluetooth suite). It then started working correctly, I think it might be windows 10 automatic updates massing with your drivers installations. I've been told the refreshed P650/P670 will be available for sale in a few weeks, with Skylake and G-SYNC.

Are we just going to use this thread as the owner's thread for that refresh?

AFAIK that speculation is entirely based on the Polish reseller which was listing those.

The Skylake 6700HQ is pretty much sorted, but the G-Sync part is a real sticking point as it either implies Optimus now works with G-Sync (which also implies the Intel IGP supports adaptive sync, which is much more important) or that the refresh lacks Optimus entirely (which could very well turn people off as the P65X already has a relatively small battery).

Either way I expect a new thread since there will be enough differences to warrant it. Skylake CPU, eDP only panels (Skylake IGP doesn't support LVDS directly AFAIK), DDR4 etc.
