Try disabling all unnecessary startup programs to make sure nothing is interfering with a weird overlay or something.

Are the games that crash using a particular client? The latest regular GeForce drivers can cause issues with Steam in combination with certain hardware.

Thanks for all the suggestions, really appreciate it, but I think i have to send it back (again ) to XMG.

Did a reset of the bios (FN-D) , reinstalled win 10 (latest ISO from MS, plus latest updates), all original drivers from January, plus the latest NVIDIA, (Win is installed on drive C, Steam on D, and Origin on E drive, all 3 are separate SSD. The Samsung 961 OEM is running with the MS NVME driver (had in a previous installation also the Samsung)
Everything is default, only NVIDIA driver is set to 100HZ (external monitor) and the power to maximum.
If I reduce (like some suggested, the GPU core and memory to -100 hundred (or only core to -60) then I get artifacts or the whole machine is crashing, otherwise only the game. CPU is default on -100.
Event viewer shows still the same error like before " Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
Only win 10, Origin/Steam and Chrome installed, nothing else. I tried some weeks before with all the newest drivers with Obision tool. This installation was now suggested from XMG (Schenker) so I used all the original drivers except for the graphic one..
So far i tried it with Sniper Elite 4 and with Sniper Ghost warrior 3 both are crashing, will continue with other games on Origin tomorrow. The Wolfenstein (under Steam) runs fine for hours, but it is an old game.

Anything else I can try? Is there any BIOS setting which can cause this, I mean it is set to default.

If you undervolt and crash then the voltage is too low. Every chip is different (in terms of starting voltage and what they will happily run at) so a blanked under volt or over volt does not work. This is why auto overclocks suck as they have to take into account the bell curve of chip quality and work for a wide range of chips rather than tuning it for your own.

Has anyone had temperature issues with Samsung 960 evo m.2 drive? I am seeing my one drive hitting over 80c while the second 960 barely ever crosses 50. At idle there is generally a 12 or more degree difference between the 2 drives. They are raid 0 configured totaling 1 TB.

Not normal temp for Samsung ssd's. Backup. Make a new clean Os install. Put the overheating ssd in the opposite M.2 slots. Then see if same ssd still have the overheating problem.

Thanks, it seemed odd since the other one never goes over 50c. I have never actually seen it stay at 80+, hwinfo is just reporting it as max every time I refresh, most I've seen displayed in current is 75c which still seems high but not red. It's happening just idling so something screwy.

Of course it's my work machine and I'm going on a trip tomorrow with it... How it always goes right!?

Regarding the temperature, do you check for sensor 1 or 2? my Samsung 961 OEM m.2, shows on the 2nd sensor also extreme high temperatures!

Hi, I own a P75xDM2-G with a GTX 1070. A few days ago I noticed something strange when opening gpu-z: even if Windows 10 is installed and running in UEFI mode, the checkbox on gpu-z (referring to the 1070 UEFI support) isn't checked.

    Immagine1.jpg Immagine2.jpg

Do you have any idea of what this could mean?

Hmm it is temperature 2, I assumed that meant the second m.2 of the raid as no other Samsung is listed but maybe it's bogus?

Which type of impact could it be?
Anyway, it seems nothing... except the high temperatures in demanding games (don't know if it's because of summer, but gpu often reaches 85-88 degrees), and the sporadic system slowdowns after exiting a game (that force me to reboot the system) but this I think it's actually a Win10 problem of some sort.

It the same on my P751DM2 with GTX1070... But I see you have a later vbios version for your GTX1070, would you be so kind and make a backup of your vBios and PM it to me? That would be greatly appreciated.

    Of course, no problem. ;)

Anyway, when I was saving the bios, nvflash reported me (among other vbios data) that it actually supports UEFI... really strange.

It's not really that odd that a small third party app has issues detecting the finer details :p

    Well, I guess you're right :p

Anyway, do you think the max in-game temps (88 to 90 degrees) are "normal"? Considering an ambient temperature of ~28°.
I've already cleaned the dust off... but no repasting, as the notebook is only less than a year old.

The Witcher 3, Rust, Quake Champions beta... more or less intensive games, with at least 90% of gpu usage. Yes, the back is elevated, the notebook is always on a CM Notepal U2 stand (but no fans).

My manufacturer keep saying that it's normal considering the ambient temperatures, and the fact that with max fan speed (fn+f1 mode) temps keep staying at around 84-85°, but actually I'm not so convinced of that...

Ok, so I flashed it and it works great! Got me 400 more points in 3Dmark 11 and 100 points in Superposition and 300 more in firestrike.
This vBios is OEM OC from Clevo so one does not need a programmer to flash it. It's a really nice performance jump.

Hey there, I got a Samsung 960 Pro SSD for my P775 and I'm experiencing bad throttling with it.

The SSD is installed next to the GPU and those are the numbers I am getting from it...

I can see massive amounts of throttling there, looking for advice on how to solve this and what is there to do?

Should I return the 960 Pro SSD and give up on using any NVMe SSDs?

My first plan is to order this and see if it helps

    http://www.shop4pc.ro/set-paduri-termice-silverstone-tp01m2-pentru-racire-pasiva-ssd-m2-p-46737.html

Then, I might want to order this, but I am not sure if there is enough space to apply them

Put it in the other m.2 slot? Unless you already have something install in there. From the pic I see the only other internal drives you have are two 2.5" ones.

It is worse if it is in the same chamber as the 2.5" HDDs, there is no airflow there and it heats up even more.

While it is in the large components chamber, the temps are a bit better.

First time I installed it was in the HDD chamber, the first sensor would easily reach 100C, now it never goes above 80C

I will run that test on mine tomorrow I have a Samsung drive that I complained about temp last week in this thread.

Temp1 was fine temp 2 high. Hwinfo was what told me, never complained until last week, I was wondering if it was an hwinfo bug. I need to install something else for temp check but have not had time.

    Will post numbers tomorrow

I ran the test and starting temps were 39,58, max temp of 1 75, max temp of 2 86.

See images, I have a 1TB 960 evo, I thought it was 2 512 in raid but after taking it apart over the weekend I found it is 1 1TB and it is in the hard drive bay area. Not sure how I ended up with one drive it was supposed to be 2 but I will take it.

Temps not as bad as yours that is for sure but still turning red in HWINFO

You're welcome I wanted to do it for myself as I was getting concerned about my temps but seeing yours made me feel like I had nothing to complain about!!

I still need to get the CPU temps down, sadly it is a work laptop and they are not keen on me delidding it. So I use this wonderful machine with an undervolt and underclock :(

My cpu hits 103 easily with overclock fans or max fan(generally use OC as max is just too annoying). The gpu never goes above 80c though. I complained to Sager, they offered an rma but from everything I have read here there won't be much they can do other than leave me without a computer for a few weeks that will come back with the same temps.

Remember you also have high cpu temp(maybe also for the graphics). Higher temp inside the chassis will also affect temp for your NVMe drives. Maybe opt for M.2 sata drives instead if you can't fix it the other way.

CPU never goes over 77 - 80C, even after a serious session of gaming now.

    GPU never over 70.

Pretty much all temps were soled, except for this one :(

It's a high temp for Samsung ssd's. Worth maybe a second try on same model. If not, search up what NVMe drives who run coldest or go for mentioned ssd's in my previous post. Have you tried ATTO when you run maxed fans and a mod notebook U3 cooler? If not maybe try it. No gain in fully throttling ssd's. Wasted money. And in normal workflow you can't se the very big difference. Buy high quality normal sata ssd's or in M.2 format.

    Thank you for your advice!

I actually noticed some smoothness improvement in my daily operation, I kinda care about this thing, but meh, the temps reaching 105C and 60C do seem a bit high.

I tried running the SSD bench with all fans on max, both P775 and U3, and with AC in the room to lower room temps, the result was that it still reaching 105C during ATTO benchmarks...

Hy Guys, i need a little help!

I have a Pcspecialist Octane 3 (Clevo p775dm-3g) Notebook. My 1080 card is died!
! When i want to play game the screen is freezing and it have a lot of screen issue. I try to reinstall the os and a lof of Nvidia driver but the problem is the same. If i just use to watch movies or just use the internet the machine is working perfect. First time i set back the gpu clock 30mhz after a week 60mhz after a few day 120mhz and its working perfect but slowly the gpu lost the power and now i cant play games.
Iam not try to overclock the card so not my fault to dies.

But when i try to play a game the windows said the card is stopped to working and application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.

The Pcspecialist does not want to take the guarantee beacuse i dont know who is the original buyer.

    Somebody can help me?

The Alienware 13 had a similar Problem i think

    Hello all,

I've been following this thread intermittently but can't seem to find any info as to the total power TDP of the P775DM3 with the 1080n.

Does anyone know what the stock upper power limit is for the whole system? Also, how much can the 1080 draw @ max/OC?

Answers are much appreciated as I'm thinking about getting one soon.

The power brick is rated for 330W and GTX 1080 is rated for 200W but I've also seen around 210 W being pulled at max. The CPU's power pull heavily depends on how much OC you're doing.

undervolt cpu and don't overclock too high, you also need to lock the gpu to 0.975v and you should be good with the 1080 gpu

How about the entire system TDP, in case I'd like to add a 2nd PSU to get a higher OC. Is there a bios limitation on a non-Prema partner machine?

So I downloaded the latest P7xxDM2-G stuff from: https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P7xxDM23G/

Noticed that the flashme.bat file had an error in the first line, at least it didn't brick.

Is the latest EC for the P750DM2-G only 1.05.04? I saw the 1.06.01 is only for the 3
