you can buy p775tm-1 coolers for cheap they should fit . Chases is the same. motherboard layout look the same... The problem is gpu core voltage is locked so unless you have some costume bios or
or a way to change the voltage it maybe pointless and you better of keep the stack cooler where cpu get the extra help from more cooling.... that's what i think.. here some prices i found on coolers.

GPU heatsink for p775tm1-g is 65$ in us
CPU heatsink for p775m1-g is 60$

I am not sure if separate cooling is better. Doesn't a bigger area give you better results?

Also, is there a hotkey for Control Center to alter between performance modes?

What do you mean by separate cooling? Like a cooling pad? Cooling pads can help up to a certain degree but don't expect miracles.

No there is no hotkey to switch power plans in CCC, only a hotkey to turn on max fans on or off (CTRL + 0)

Hi Phoenix nice to meet you. No we're were talking about the possibility to put the 2 pieces heatsinks of the P775TM1 on the P775DM3 and if it'll bring any sorta of advantages.

I believe he means split heatsinks instead of joined.

I tried to look for comparative tests, but nobody decided to buy it. I was almost willing to do it, but I'm in doubt about the real advantage that can be had with the unified sink. As a user already said in the past it takes comparative tests to be sure of the differences.

I bought a SAGER NP9152-S (CLEVO P750DM2 "I'm guessing it might be the G version since it has a 4k screen with G-Sync") back on August 18, 2016, and I've never run across a BIOS update anywhere knowing some BIOS updates have been released. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can download the most recent BIOS update so I can flash it? I contacted Xoticpc, which is where I bought it, and they sent me instructions about how to flash the BIOS but didn't include a copy of the BIOS or a link where I could download the latest BIOS. Can someone please let me know where I can download it? I'd really appreciate it.

Since it is a Sager, you have to ask them ([email protected]) for the BIOS. Include your serial number, and the BIOS version you currently have.

Sager and other manufacturers do not provide downloadable BIOS files because too many users don't know how to flash it correctly. Awkward, but that is how they, and we, handle it for Clevo products.

Getting some small rubber feet from the hardware store and placing them where the back feet sit on the cooler stand can help :)

I'm probably one of the few (/only?) who uses this as an actual laptop (I guess I have a wilfull disregard for my nethers!) on the couch and bed, but does anybody else have a problem with the power cord constantly coming out? It's quite annoying. Seems to be due to a combination of both the short cable length from the laptop to the transformer (presumably because of the sheer amount of current it has to carry) and a generally crappy din plug.

Just wondering if anybody has done anything to mitigate this?

@adante and @ekkolp - I know its somewhere on one of these forums (so maybe someone can find it), but one user cut a small piece of electrical tape for fit, and placed it around the metallic portion that inserts into the laptop power socket providing it with a more snug fit.

Note, I don't know if that extra thickness would 'stretch' the power socket diameter making it worse, but am merely reporting what someone did.

I have the same issue, every time I get perfectly situated in the recliner the screen dims... I then cuss knowing the power cable fell out and I have to get up. I preferred my p650, it never feel out but this laptop is way better in every other way. Hopefully they will improve this in next generation because it really sucks and messes up my gaming sessions as the CPU is cut to 2.4 on battery.

@ekkolp and @Sleepymas: ok, here's a crappy 'lifehack' if you have a bit of cable play: I've found if I push a bit of the cable through the slot between the monitor and main chassis (just above the power button), it does a better job of holding in place... inasmuch as I haven't had to re-plug the cable in the last 3 hours anyway.

WARNING: YOU CANNOT CLOSE LAPTOP SCREEN LIKE THIS

    https://imgur.com/a/qwB5S

If you thread it like that, the cables attempts to straighten seems to provide some bracing that helps to prevent it falling out. It doesn't look like it's putting any pressure on the socket (there's still some wiggle) but standard disclaimer applies.

Hi, recently I noticed some strange framerates drops while gaming, though I only played one game (Fortnite). Can you tell me if you see something strange in the screenshot I attacched below? Thanks.
Core and memory frequency seems ok to me, but I'm not sure I can tell the same for the gpu usage. My rig is in signature.

About temps, I already know they are not so good. If it wasn't for warranty loss (still 1,5 years remaining), I would open the back lid and repaste with phobya extreme and maybe better thermal pads also.

Try another application, if it only happens in a pre-release game then it's likely an issue with the game.

Is it possible to put the updated motherboard, CPU(8700k), and split heat sink in to this laptop? I will also want to do the video card once the next gen is available. The goal here is to reuse the screen, hard drives, keyboard, case, etc to save money. Will resellers do this or would I have to try and get my hands on the parts and do it myself?

    Hi Guys,
I have a p775dm3 machine from MIFCOM (german) I have received new bios, as the laptop does not boot with 7700k...
I have received a pack with the following directories:
    - BIOS_1.06.11_mif
    - EC_2nd_1.06.01
    --- ECN_EC_P7xxDMx-2nd_1p06p01_KBL
    - EC_Main_1.06.06
    --- ECN_EC_P7xxDM3_1p06p06
Can anyone help how and what to do? :(

No. The machnie spins on, fans are working, leds are on, but no display at all... I cannot enter into the bios. What I can do, I can borrow a skylake to boot up (even in windows) to upgrade the bios/efi. The only problem I have no clue what is the process...

I thought that the support for Intel 7xxx CPU was added since the 1.06.02 bios update, wich added support for Kabylake for the P775DM3-G...
To update the bios try to follow this https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91ksTsmH7fS.pdf
Important:1 Remember to decompress and put the Shell_for_EFI_flash file in the usb, otherwise the usb is not bootable.
2: Before update, is extremely important to reboot the laptop in full fan mode by using WMeset.exe, otherwise You'll ONLY UPDATE THE BIOS AND NOT THE EC PROFILE AND ALSO THE MANAGEMENT ENGINE.
In my second hand P775DM3G the bios version was the initial release LOL, got a little struggle to learn how to update bios but fortunately I successfully updated the bios to 1.06.11, the EC to 1.06.06, and the ME to 11.0.18.1002. Now, I don't have a Kabylake CPU to test out if it actually support it after those update...If you successfully update all those things, I'll be gratefull if You let me know if your 7700K works :) Have a nice sunday!
PS. Sorry for my broken english :(

Yep the XMG U717 is Clevo P775DM3G. I've flashed the bios v1.06.11 from Repo archive and the EC v1.06.06 from XMG as the EC is not present in the Repo archive. (didn't flash the XMG bios because I don't want their boot image).
    Yes they are the latest.

THx, I have received the same from MIFCOM. They send me a zip without any info what to do, and the zip has 3 directories:
    BIOS_1.06.11_mif
    EC_2nd_1.06.01
    EC_Main_1.06.06

It confused me, but I guess the older 1.06.01 EC is not necessary... great support i need to admit... everybody just wants to sell, after that you could be "!"/!%"!+-ed...

one more question: the laptop came with offical win10 home. as far as I know in the bios image, right? so if I use theirs my win10 will be offical?

You're right: the v1.06.01 EC isn't necessary. And again yes, I had a lot of bad experience from different vendors of hardware. I call them sell and forget.
For the windows question I think, but I'm not sure, that your Win10 license will be still valid. Maybe it depends on the fact if your copy is OEM or not. I've heard that the license, OEM or not is bound with the bios but when i've updated my MSI desktop mobo, the license was still there(Win 10 pro retail key from Microsoft), same for my P775DM3G(Win10 pro retail key).

Are these seems the files I need to use? I can make a bootable FAT32 USB, copy both directory and start the .BAT files.
Does it matter which one I start first?

    Thanks again for the help!

Those seems to be the right files. But you need to copy all the Bios and EC files in the bootable USB. Please take a look to this:
After you have meset.efi excuted the NB will reboot in full fan mode, it's normal.

Hello guys. I have some troubles here.

    I had to change my cpu. I switched from an i7 6700K to a G4560, ( bad delid on 6700k ).
Since then i lost 75hz and gsync on my display.

I tried looking in bios ( prema bios ), change graphic drivers, update all drivers thanks to obsidian tools.

Nothing change, don't have gsync and 75hz anymore.

Someone would know how to fix this issue ?

    Ty in advance.

Your laptop configuration ain’t delivered with this Cpu. Hence you lost G-sync. It’s a license problematic. Put the blame on Nvidia’s greed!!
I’m on my small phone and can’t show how, but test out settings in Nvidia Control Panel and you will get back 75Hz. But not G-stink.

    Guys,
I have just realized the 144hz screens are available for 15,6 and for 17,3 laptops? Is it an option for 775DM3?
I am so excited, could be great for gaming!!
