Mine is as clean as when I bought it about a year and half ago. That doesn't make any sense! As Meaker said, don't make statements like that

Denuvo is pretty invasive as software too, it has been known to cause issues. With all problems you have to approach it from multiple angles one by one until you get the solution.

Is there a way to enable "Wake on keyboard"? I want to stash the laptop under the table to clear space on the desk.

It's not recommended to run them hard with the lid closed by the way.

They draw air through the keyboard. Closing the lid will reduce airflow and create a hot spot.

    Clevo P751dm2-g: Bios B10611, EC10601.
I´m on windows 10 64 bit, newest build. Why isnt the control center working correctly and wont start after reboot? I tried many versions... actual I´m on the newest vom the clevo download site: Control Center 5.0001.1.27. When I start the UI by hand everything seems fine, but the fan control seems it isnt working. Is there an other version? Or am I doing something wrong?

How much can you OC your GTX1070 in a stable way with Afterburner?

It's better than nothing, I guess.

So around 1850mhz boost at that speed, not bad. Is it crashing if you go further?

Yep, it does crash with more OC. I think this is the limit of my GTX1070.

There isn't a public version from Prema. The latest official version (from clevo) of BIOS is 1.06.10

What options do i have if i want to upgrade my WQHD 120hz screen right now? I probably want to get the FHD 144hz one but noticed it's AHVA and 25ms response time, is there a FHD 120Hz-144Hz variant too with TN? Gsync is not a issue, but the weird "interlaced" lines still trigger me after all this time

In general i'm a bit torn apart right now, if i should upgrade my book to a 9700k and a 2080 RTX with heatsink or just get a new book in general.

@Meaker@Sager Yeah is probably the most reasonable, would depend solely on the point if i could sell my current book. And about the display do you have some suggestions about what to get is compatible :p?

Ok just a headsup, i gave the N173HHE-G32 (Rev C2) a go and ordered it from amazon which surprisingly already arrived today, took me 5 mins to exchange and i must say it runs circles around the old B173QTN01.0 i had, no gsync anymore but superfast response time and very good colors for a TN Panel (8bit), i think it's the best compromise between getting a 20x0 card and a new notebook, cause going from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080 should boost the fps quite a bit. No issues i noticed so far, sadly the freesync feature isn't working either cause technically gsync in notebooks was freesync all along and switching brightness also works.

It different from what I have right now. My heatsink is joined together so will this be better than the joined one since it is separate?

There's a fair chance you'll see little to no improvement - you might benefit more from other changes (paste, pads, undervolt, etc).

Are you running into overheating or throttling issues on your current heatsink?

Previously though. I did undervolt the CPU and GPU and it is better. However, I read that it was because the heatsinks are joint together that is causing the high temps.

Any help with enabling second monitor on Win10 via USB Type C port please?

Update: It can be done in the bios settings, advanced chipset settings to map DP to TB.

For some time I was struggling to make heatsinks for the m2 drives... had to fight to make them fit and still look nice, so I had several attempts, some of them were not pictured...

And, another thing, this lapping.. After sanding the heatsink the thermal contact was awful, so I spend like more than a month on lapping, still it's not perfect but thermal results are better with almost 15C...
In the end, this is very risky, one mistake and you did a "mistake", it's enough to chip a corner of this die and GPU dies partially or completely, so I decided to stop at some point.

Conclusion: this percent of die convexity may slightly vary with temperature, so, "cold" lapping will always be imperfect. Anyway, this process is long and requires patience. Clevo could do this heatsink a little better though..

Maybe this is not a very interesting post, but I would like to see if anyone else tried lapping...

In the last picture is a comparison between original heatsink "non existent" lapping vs my attempt of lapping.

    Hi,

Here is my curve for more than a year now. I overclocked the Vram to +800mhz (It's to much I think but it works nice). No problems running Heaven or Valley benchs. No problem with 3Dmark or in games. This is the best I did.
I made another curve (+150mhz and +800 from stock). Those curves have the same result with benchmarks.
Maybe can be better, but a lot of time to spend for ... 1 or 2 fps ... or less.
From stock I got 5/6 fps with Arma3 and KingdomCome with OC.

My right speaker in the P775DM3-G has the membrane unglued and does a lot of back noise. Anyone know where can I buy speakers to replace mine!? I live in Europe and the store where I bought it... Well let's just say I don't want anything to do with them anymore.
    @John@OBSIDIAN-PC any tips?

Feel free to pm me with links
