primary concern is, it'll never come lol clevo moved off from originally sandy/ivy-E for a reason probably due to not enough sales which also tied to E edition cpu are always generation behind, which leads to less sales.
now that intel has changed their strategy, they are giving time to catch up to E generation cpu validation with tick tock and lastly their optimization so to say during optimization time the E edition will likely caught up to their consumer segment so this could help lead to more sales.
if clevo do end up doing one, great. 2nd concern is skylake-E is going to be a different socket so if they release a broadwellE, its a dead end with no place to upgrade..DreDre likes this. -

Sometimes I forget you live in the UK.
Aren't they moving away from tick tock soon? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Tick - tock - tock
Process - architecture - optimisation
The new rythm basically to give more time on each process to develop the next. This is happening now with the move to 10nm being delayed.Georgel likes this. -
And Kaby lake will be the optimisation (Second tock).

Am I the only one bothered by the lack of improvement lately?
I mean, since 4XXX we haven't seen a gram of improvement performance wise. In any of the series.
What is going on out there?
They made node shrinkage, made optimisation step one, but where is the gain from all these?
All scores are the same. Consuming less power is nice and all, but why haven't we seen anything in processing power department?
On another note, P870 is fully compatible with it, no? Just in case they might have brought some improvements this time, not a larger iGPU on i7 unlocked

really loving the P870DM-G...except when i try to record anything in shadow play
damn g-sync
-
What's it doing now? I stopped using because it would keep switching goofy battery boost on by itself regardless.
I got rid of the bloat and am now using Reflex! as recommended by Mr. FoxPapusan likes this. -
When I record stuff the movement starts to flicker and not look fluid... Me thinks it has to do with the variable framerate of g-sync.

maybe you guys misread my post
. but regardless follow original trend, skylake E will have a new socket but unsure about kaby/cannonlake.

tempted to fill out the remaining 2 slots with 2 more 16gb sticks!
If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing!
EDIT: I just ordered 2 more sticks....looking forward to having 64gb of RAM HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHALast edited: Jul 31, 2016 -
i havent follow ram for awhile now whats the best ram in the market? gskill, corsair, kingston, crucial? 3000mhz at cl14 for 4x16GB sets?

everyone is going gskill or hyperx if you can find it.ole!!! likes this.

Lower power requirements and lower heat generation seem to be the priority these days.
Right now, the focus is on portable/mobile stuff (tablets, phones, laptops, hybrids, VR, etc...), which means lighter and thinner and less room for secondary heat dissipation like big heat sinks, fans or water cooling. So, Intel/AMD are trying to get comparable processing with less heat and less electricity.
The demand to get faster/more powerful than where we are now just isn't there right now except, of course, with enthusiasts. But we don't control the market.Georgel likes this. -
MSI finally catches up with Clevo dual PSU capability.
Next-Gen MSI Titan Spotted, Features Dual PSU Adapter For Overclocking With SLI (Updated)

can use the new power adapter to fix the old titan too? -
That problem is in the BIOS/Firmware and MSI refuses to rectify it , since the motherboard isnt probably equipped to handle that much power. Just a guess.
-
and if the EC is unlocked to use dual 330w it would damage the motherboard? -
Probably, i cant think of any reason why they would fix it otherwise.
But this was discussed in great detail over in one of MSI's threads. -
Well at least if we can't get the Clevo dual PSU adapter we can use the MSI one now

This time they haven't other choice. Not many like crippled performance duo battery boost. Maybe DELLINWARE will be one of the few brands who still prefer Hybrid bios functionality. Some say more than 240w psu will fry the Aw "Echo" motherboards components!!

We haven't seen it powered on yet, that's when it really shines, with user tuneable RGB lighting effects

Next it will be an RGB hat to put on your head that flashes in sync with your device.

At this point, with room for dual GPUs, a massive chassis and now acknowledging the need for dual PSUs, why doesn't MSI just kick that Basically Garbage Assembly to the curb and go full Desktop CPU. They are so close and that Keyboard is much better than the Clevo variants.TBoneSan, jaybee83, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
Will the next version of this machine not have that X or LED light on the back?
-
Probably same philosophy as DEllienware. They hope you buy new laptop instead of upgrade what you already have(gpu). They hope you want an new BGA i7 for more power. An desktop processor will have a longer lifespan. All this is calculated!!TomJGX and electrosoft like this.

You could always turn off the LED on this current generation. It's not always the preferred option, but you could get some kind of wrap / skin / cover of some kind to cover up the lid if you don't like the appearance though. Mr. Fox just showed off his painted lid that he did (different thread). So there are always some options for customization that you could do to cover something up that you might not like. -
Sorry didn't get your post.. What hope?

Do you have the razer core with you already? And do you have a GPU to put inside it?

Sharing that bandwidth with the storage though, that still makes me uneasy.
-
Dont think its going to leech that much bandwidth.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Depends on the storage you have and what you are doing with it. I intend to get the 961 so I will have access to pretty much the entire bandwidth of the DMI link.
Nomad likes this. -
Yeah. I dont use my second SSD as it is. Its idle 99% of the time, the primary 950, sees 20% use tops.
But im going to jump on the 961 train as well, once they are decently priced. -
i just got 2 more 16gb sticks so i am maxed out at 64gb of RAM
