    Hello,

Does anyone know how to change the POST logo? You know, when its booting up and a "Style Note" logo comes up, is there any way to change that logo?

Here is my system information by the way:

Manually editing it into the file is the only way I believe and you risk bricking the machine.

Quick question for the 1080p matte screen on these what's the brightness? I'm trying to compare it with another.

There is a utility out there. I have done it on my Stock P870DM bios, both manually and using the utility.
But you need to have the correct version. Other wise be prepared to desolder the chip.

so any issues at all with updating to win10 Anniversary? i have to do that in order to play gears of war 4 but not sure if there is anything special i should do or anything that won't work. i know some msi laptops had issues with their keyboard lighting and some other things not working right.

Heh if anyone has the ps4 vr headset. You can hook anything to the hdmi port, pc, xbox etc and use the big screen mode. Tried it last night with my p870dm
Last night and its awesome. You need the ps4 close by as well and its not VR you just big scredn infront of your face and imho better than vorpx (pain in the ass to set up) and virtual desktop on both vive and occulus.

I am missing something though? If it wasn't actually VR and just a big screen what's the point?

Hi - When I run speedfan on my p870dm-g the GPU fan is not displayed. Is there a fix? I suspect that the fan has stopped working. Any suggestions on how to confirm other than opening the unit?

Listen with the ear close to it while doing cinebench or firestrike . It's going to be evident if the fan spins or not.

Put your hand over the vent with the fans on full speed (FN + 1) and see if you feel similar flow on all three vents (if you have 2 cards or a single 980 desktop class).

Yeah bruh! Load up some games with that heavy sweet graphicallness. You know, like your Crysis 3s, like your, you know, The Divisions, that kind of thing. Uncaps the framerats for max effect! Then, put your hands behind the radiator where them fans should be blowin out them hot airs cuz of that sweet graphicallness. If you ain't feelin that hot air bruh! then your fan be broke!

Definitely do max fans Fn+F1 from desktop and feel for it, takes two seconds, and avoids the risk of the GPU going all magic smoke on you, running 100W+ parts at full bore graphicallness without airflow is a bad idea.

Bruh can I suggestimacate you probs should leave the bruhspeak tech support to the peepz who actually do tech support for a living, and communicate in actual English

Running overclock for fans - not full - and GPU at 200W + CPU at 90W doesn't let the GPU get over 70, while the CPU reaches 85. ~20C in room. All in all, it is good.

EDIT: For 20 minutes, it leveled at this temperature.

Thanks bruv's, looks like it's malfunctioned. The left back fan is significantly less blowie than the right so not good. Does anybody know if this is a common fault and if so how easy is it to repair myself?

GPU might run hotter on P870, but it most certainly will be able to hold it's ground cooling wise XD

The fans don't reach full speed with the np9873 running a single 1080 and the grid heatsink but the dual heatsink for the P870DM won't be far behind.

running them at high speeds for a prolonged period of time will eventually lead to them not working but this takes a long time to happen

Such fans are rated for about +10,000 hours, or approximately three years use aka 8-10 hours usage per day at full blast. And they can last even longer than this. But failures can occur on everything you buy

Question would be what good would it do in the P870DM since it physically has no 'wiring' for the iGPU?

I think he means as a co-processor in DX12 which can if coded right divvy up tasks among many different chips, I am still a bit wary of the efficiency this can be done with.

MTBF is a statistical measure. It has no bearing (badoom tish) on the life of an *individual* fan.

You can extend the life of any part with common sense maintenance. Cleaning fans and a drop of oil every year send to work for me. I've never had a fan fail and I know many of them have gone well over 10k hours. My partner still leaves her (formerly my) 2007 Vostro 1500 on most of the day most days, that's probably beyond 30000 hours of uptime now

In retail a 2% return rate is quite decent too along with the above (which is why I never understand people who have one issue who then swear off an entire brand).

Meaker, not everyone is like us, who understand this or are engineers/scientists etc.. For most people, imagine you spent so much on a system and it breaks after a while or on arrival, its a massive turn off... Especially after all the anticipation etc.. Tbh even one bit of me would do something like this..

I'm sure it does but all you can do is test and do the best you can. No matter what you do some will slip through.

Reputations are forged by when it does go wrong and what's done about it. No one is perfect.

Lol, true dat! Like, before recieving my p870dm-Gs, I was trying to buy MSI GT72 with that gtx 980m. First one came, gpu died in week 2. Second one came, keyboard lights not working (colors not right) and fans were rattling. Sent back. Third one came, keyboard lights was broken and colors not be controlled. Sent back and got me a p870dm-g with that sweet gtx 980 graphicalness.

Not quite the right place to ask, but i've noticed some of the newer clevos, they have a slightly different looking keyboard.
So, I guess, the first question is, it a new keyboard?
And two, is it any better than the existing one?
And if it is, do you guys think they'll move the keyboard on to the 17 inch clevos?

Seeing it mainly on the tornado F5 from Eurocom.
