That's why ASIC quality really was never to be trusted compared to real OC results

You didn't have to ruin that... And yes I can confirm this

They probably don't sell them in the UAE or ME... Too American probably.

Thank you for the explanation, I'll try to find it online, nice to try it, and give it as a gift to my family as well.

OCUK do that too (they use the fizz ones though).

probably cause it's haram
-
Forbidden? I think you mean halal = allowed
If the right wing nutjobs are to be believed buying halal funds terrorism because the certifying bodies funnel money to ISIS (the baddy ISIS not the one run by Archer's mum) -
isn't gummy bear made out of pig gelatin?
if so it's haram -
Like Pauline Hanson... That pathetic excuse for an Australian politician?

I vaguely remembered hearing something about gummi bears changing to being halal - google says it was just one factory making a halal version in Turkey. Apart from that you're right they're still made with gelatin.Dr. AMK likes this.

anyway....
i'm tempted to blow some cash on a pair of 1TB 850 PRO SSDs in the future. once i get my nvidia shield TV. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Does your secondary set need to be the pro series?
-
If you are ready to go for two 1TB... Rather go for a single 2TB.
If you intend to use it in future build.. -
I just like the word 'pro' and keep it consistent LOL.

Thank you for your explanation.
The gift with my Motherboard from the German Company @clevo-extreme (CEG-HARDCORECUSTOM) was a gelatin candy like what we are talking about here, hope this is the Halal one.

gelatin can come from pork, beef, fish or synthetic sources so by that id guess only pork would be the one not sold but pork gelatin is most common in the US, not sure on EU.
however i have seen made in turkey haribo bears with halal signs on them here in the US but not every brand of gummy bear has that. my friend who is kosher weeps for good kosher gummy candy as its rare to find. -
Maybe we should hit up a mod who can re-name the thread to Gummy bear? Or maybe Candy?

After replacing the 980m GPU's and the MB for my Sky X9E, everything is working fine now as new.
Now to close this gummy bear candy conversation with something useful, I want to send my appreciations to all respected members who tried to help me to fix my problem.
@thegh0sts @bennyg @Papusan @t456 @TBoneSan @Coolane @Johnksss@iBUYPOWER @bloodhawk @woodzstack
My gift will be the same as everyone can buy Gummy bear candy (only one
), please PM me with your PayPal account to send my small gift to you.
Edit: Or I can use any gift cards, like Amazon one, some of us don't have PayPal.
Thank you all for your kindness.Last edited: Mar 16, 2017 -
it's not necessary. we do our best to help.

Yes I know, but this is what I do usually for someone supported me, the feelings that a person supported you in a difficult situation is priceless, regardless what is the result.
I'm really glad to be with you guys in this great forum.Papusan likes this. -
But still the main question: what exactly happened to make this problem. Motherboard failure because installing Windows on Samsung 950 pro Nvme in RAID0, this is something really unreasonable. Wish that I can find out what happened someday
.
-
That's a really kind gesture my friend but don't worry about it. As Brother @thegh0sts mentioned we all try to help each other out. There's alot of top class members here who I regard as good friends even though logistics might never allow us to hang in person.
Which makes me think, we should try and find a good time and do a virtual LAN game someday with something fun and second nature like Unreal Tournament and use Discord or something. -
Thank you for your kindness, I'm in for any future plans...

You talk about Windoze aka The Redmond Morons!! And no one can tell exactly what happened last time... Hint. Bricked screens

There's all kind of hidden untrustworthy s**t going on behind the scenes in firnwares, drivers and updates these days far beyond telemetry and other spying-ware. The deliberate attempts to limit end user and aftermarket service and repair is as despicable in laptops as it is in cars.
FYI some hearsay, Gecube said they use a standard Pascal MXM 3.0b board layout for their 1070 which is in testing. That would mean Clevo (and MSI) deliberately decided to not use it. -
@bloodhawk
When you installed the 1440p screen to the P870DM-G, did it work right out of the box or you had to fiddle with the system to get it working? I got a new screen and cable, but seems to not work right away. Just wanted to make sure before I return the parts. -
Nope just worked. I didnt even change the cable since it uses the same one as the 4k panel. I should mention that im on the @Prema bios.Spartan@HIDevolution and Papusan like this.
-
I can see why Clevo decided not to use it since they wanted to offer the 1080 and 1070 in the same SKUs, so at least unifying the MXM design there makes sense.
MSI was just "lolol add tabs to the pcb so they can't use it" -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
1080, 1070 and 1060 all on the same PCB design which is a huge benefit.

So long as they stick to that board shape and layout for the gtx 11 series.

It means that DM2/3 and KM1 owners can do gtx 11.

Well, I don't believe that will be the case but I hope I'm proven wrong! Can't trust Clevo/NVIDIA with anything anymore lolbennyg likes this.

Remember that Clevo (or ourselves) made no promises, so when you say can't be trusted that's a bit unfair.
Papusan likes this. -
It's not Sagers fault. Perhaps Clevo I suppose. But it's a lie to say that the GTX 1080 and 1070 couldn't fit into the normal MXM format... Nvidia changed it mostly for profit purposes. Shame I can't say why I'm confident in that but I am
-
It will be even more baffling if Clevo jumps of the P870 design next time (This means that Clevo not had to force a new GPU design last time for DM2/3 and the KM series and skipped DM1). A brand new laptop design is another matter!! And will be a risk for a new internal design aka GPU. Time will tell.

The 1080 can't fit in normal MXM due to the memory bus shape requirements of GDDR5X. -
Yes upon rechecking you are correct. 1060 and 1070 don't have that limitation.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yes, but if you design a system to take the 1080 that means you either try and do 2 PCB designs and 2 heatsink designs or (since they are all pin compatible) unify the entire product stack.Galm likes this. -
Let's hope HBM doesn't ruin our fun. Or better still, Clevo offer a heatsink upgrade so upgrading is as easy as it should be. You're right though, we'll see. There won't be a third chance coming from me.Papusan likes this.

Meaker@Sager Company Representative
If they can make a more compact system with HBM then they will need to or be left behind the rest of the market.
