Are you sure you flashed them all:

    Stock BIOS
    Stock EC
    Stock ME
    Stock vBIOS

All are unique to my Mod...
What stock files did you use for flashing? There won't be many P870DM-G poping up online with a Dubai IP... ;)

That's good thinking, but something's telling me they won't be using it themselves, more like selling it for a nice pay day...

Doesn't hurt to check it out tho :)

Hey guys, has anyone had the issue where the machine shuts off randomly and then it won't turn back on? This happened to me within the first 2 days of using the laptop, and I am sending it back to XoticPC for repairs. I have the GTX 980 GPU by the way.

First. Really sorry about the theft, Phoenix.
Second. Been using Everki Titan for a year now and it's the best.
Third. When buying my p370sm-a at first I was going with pc specialist, waited for 3 weeks, then they informed that the chassis that was reserved for me was faulty adding another 3 weeks for delivery. At that point I decided to cancel the order and get the notebook from xnotebooks with a 120Hz panel. It took over 2 weeks to get my money back... they finally returned the money when I threatened to go to the police.
It was before christmas and they were propably really busy but man was I pissed.

What do you mean by won't turn back on? Like at all or do you just have a wait 30 seconds or hit the power button twice? Any GPU or CPU adjustments or is it all stock?

Crazy stuff man! Thank you for sharing this! :)

If it wasn't for my faulty CPU-Heatsink, I would have considered taking my rig to Finland and start some sub-zero benching at lovely -23 degrees and 0% humidity! ;)

So at the moment I am pretty ... unhappy with eurocom's lack of progress on my laptop repair. I am really not sure what exactly its taking this long. I have been pretty patient for a long time but that patience is wearing off fast. I send it in with UPS next day air around Dec 28th and at this rate, I will be lucky to get to back by Jan 28rd. I understand that sometimes there might be part shortages but still, this is pretty silly to me at this point. I am suppose to receive an email about the updated progress today but i havent received any email nor are eurocom even picking up my phone calls. I am pretty unhappy at this point. We will see how it works out. If at the time I known about this mess thats going to occur, I am not sure I would purchase from them

Yeah it seems like I have to constantly squeeze information out of them like toothpaste. I just want my machine in a reasonable amount of time. Is this so hard? I mean seriously, at least give me an update instead of having me to keep chasing it. Idk, I am almost at the point where I want to just write the laptop off as a lose and be done with it. Not that I actually will. Maybe I am just too unpleased now and will calm down later.

I don't know the whole situation but you should start being more "severe" with them at this point. I'm assuming you've been waiting for a long time so show them you're starting to lose patience..

Sometimes they need to be pushed a bit harder imo.

Any advice guys? I am generally an impatient person though. @Prema, @ssj92 etc.

If the last thing they told you was that they are waiting for parts then that may still be the case.
XMG once kept me waiting for months in a row while waiting for a replacement screen which they didn't want to pull from a new system...unavailable parts always take longer than a complete system...

I agree but they should always keep up with the customer... Doesn't matter if he calls 20 times a day imo, you have an "obligation" to let them know what's going on..

In his case they won't even pickup:/

If you do not have a prema partner system there is no overclock options in the bios, if you wish to overclock I recommend using Throttlestop from unclewebb, there is large thread in this forum dedicated to the programs feedback and development and its a good one. Please donate to keep it alive, its well worth it.

So you haven't received your RMA system from Eurocom? How long has it been?

My Sky X9 was delayed two months because of the 4K display. I need to RMA my system atm. They haven't replied yet I'll be calling Monday. I hope it doesn't take forever.

I wish others had the 4K display, I had a feeling support would be iffy.

What exactly was wrong with yours and did you have to send it to their Canadian location or the NY location?

Are you in Canada or the US? I shipped out my Titan X to a Canadian buyer and it was stuck in customs for an extra week. Don't want that to happen to my laptop as well.

Well the most direct method to get to them would be a phone call, since they are unable to pick up, there is not much you can do that I can think of.

    Maybe try again on Monday?

There are more "drastic" things you can do but I don't think they are appropriate in a case of RMA.

Just give it till the next week max, if nothing happens then you might have a situation in your hands..

Its winter season in edmonton, so easily -20C-30C outside. For you americans, its a pretty low number in terms of Fahrenheit. Its practically LN2!! I am actually try to think of a way to open the windows so I can overclock higher without bursting the pipes indoor.

I spoke to Eurocom on your behalf...they checked their case-files and spoke to technicians and have difficulty to pinpoint a user that matches your situation and require more info.

Please PM me your name and mail so they can find the right case to give you a status update.

In case if anyone is wondering whats the best way to contact eurocom support, it seems email is better than calls.

Ha ha ha, no I don't ping back or trace anything, that would kill the free spirit behind the mods, wouldn't it? :)

If someone does use a marked beta BIOS like I made for Phoenix the system leaves a unique trail with HWINFO64, 3DMark, CPU-Z etc...apart from that NBR, Techinferno, premamod...all server keep IP records and details of systems that connect to them...then Wifi cards have a fixed MAC address...can't take any system online without leaving some sort of trail...and if you can then you are not someone who drives around town to rip off some kids notebook in a public place with cams all around you and keep using the same phone number after the stunt... ;)

A dead pixel is a pixel that has no ability to light up.

What you have there are stuck pixel. I had them on almost all new screens and this always fixed it for me except in one case:

    http://www.flexcode.org/lcd2.html

Just keep it running overnight with the screen set to not switch off in Windows power settings.

The p870dm-g Prema bios is absolutely fantastic. It has every option I could possibly want and more and the system works the way it should, no ill affects only benefits. Its top notch development and execution between Prema and the testers.

Between Prema's BIOS vs second AC adapter, which one should take priority if I can get one? I dont like breaking my budget so I will probably only get one.

Both of my 980Ms are done for. GPU2 doesn't even work at all and GPU1 has artifacts everywhere and as soon as a 3D load is imposed, black screen.

I'm awaiting a response from Eurocom.

@Prema and @Mr. Fox have tried helping me trouble shoot as much as they could. The GPUs are definitely done for but we decided it is best to send the whole system back because who knows if something is wrong with the motherboard, power supplies or the converter box. Don't want to get two new 980Ms and have them die in a week again.

You must contact eurocom and explain to them you wish to use the Prema bios and vbios, there is a charge for you to ship them the system so it can be installed and then send the system back if you have already taken delivery otherwise they can ship the system with it preinstalled. This charge also covers the extended warranty coverage to my understanding but get in contact with Eurocom and they should be able to explain the best route for you.

Prema's bios without hesitation, otherwise the 2nd adapter is pretty much NULL since you want the system to work as intended first then you can start pushing if you want to overclock heavily and benchmark. You can still do a small overclock with 1 adapter. For example the single adapter will support <440 watts from the wall, so lets say you try to keep it at 400 to not stress the system. At 4.2ghz solid you can pull of +150/+400 overclock and still be < 400 watts with 980m sli.
