There's a few things in this world that you're not allowed to give sources for, or speak of.
Like, I could tell people various things about the videogame industry. LOTS of things. Things you won't hear from anybody else who isn't a dev, or doesn't have a close friend who is a dev telling them things. It's not that what I speak of shouldn't be mentioned, but it's that there's no physical reported evidence of it on the internet that I can find in an article format or an "ask me anything! I'm a games dev!" format. And I'm also not going to sit here and say "the source is my friend morgan speelman from radiant studios who work under the publisher lightvision" and then potentially get him in trouble, etc.

I have configured a P870DM-G on Hyperbook and on MySN and MySn sells the same config for ~385 EUR more...I wonder why is the price so much higher in Germany compared to Poland?
The price on CEG is "only" ~192 eur higher than the Polish price... -
Germany includes huge taxes.
-
Actually taxes in Poland are about the same if not higher. Cost of running a business is lower (rent, salary) although the market size is a fraction of Germany so fewer sold units to spread fixed costs over. If anything this difference is probably foreign exchange.
-
Interesting. Oh well.
-
service
mysn does rmas inhouse and is also excellent in afterbuy customer service. dunno about hyperbook, but as always: u get what u pay for

Hyperbook doesn't mention taxes, but it is with taxes I guess... On CEG there are two prices, and if you buy from another country you see how much you will pay in the end. I guess one should contact resellers for the initial price.
-
We haven't launched this model yet, so although you can find out configuration page on the .de website you'll notice that it isn't on the .co.uk, .eu, .re or .se sites - our prices are not final at the moment.

For those that was 8260's instead of the 1535 we can do that, just ask us. We leave it on the configs like that because there are certain marketing requirements for things
So we can swap it out for an intel WLAN thats no biggie

So, XMG, any benches available for the desktop GTX 980?)
-
Why do the GTX 980 for this beast...., I mean the lovely "Phoenix"(beast)
, comes "only" with 4GB vRAM? With all the 4k-scaling and Multi-Monitoring and Games like GTA V, which soaks up more than 4GB (vRAM), it seems a little bit "underdressed"!?
-
it does come with 8gb vram, doesnt it?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -
Yes it does.

-
Isn't it this one?
http://www.notebookcheck.com/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980-Notebook-ehem-990M.150598.0.html
Everywhere I read about the GTX 980 (Notebook) there is only mentioned 4GB vRAM.
Do I miss something or is this a specifically designed one? -
Definitely has 8GB in the P870DM. Likely a ODM choice - for example it looks like the MSI GT72 will have both 4GB and 8GB versions available according to their press release. Maybe new sites simply picked up on the 4GB from somewhere without realising that there are 8GB versions out there as well.

One "Big Bertha" isn't enough?

Cheers! Hopefully you will be able to set the price to be more closer to the Polish price

To be honest, so far Hyperbook was better on the communication part, because they replied all my emails so far and much faster than MySN.eu...in mather of fact, MySN has not replied to an email yet which I have sent them on Friday...Hyerbook answered some of my emails within 10 minutes.
-
That doesn´t mean anything.
To give you an example: CEG replied to my emails very quickly, less than 5 mins sometimes. Seems great, right? Now, go to the reseller feedback sub-forum and check the thread i made about them. I sure got what i paid for...
Just mind you i´m not implying anything about Hyperbook. Never seen bad feedback about them, even when they were called Bluemobility.Last edited: Oct 5, 2015 -
Their price is very competitive, do you know if it includes tax ? Are they on this forum ?
If I buy something I will wait for deal on mysn anyway, but Im curious. -
It has 23% tax. No additional fees should apply within the European Union.Omnomberry likes this.
-
Thank you guys for all nice words
Prices on website include 23% VAT tax. You also need to add shipping cost (20-40 Euro, depends of country). If you have a company registered in EU, you can also buy notebook without tax and pay it in your country.
Currently we are working on creating EU collect and return warranty so our user would not have to pay for sending notebook back to service center.TomJGX, Niaphim, deepfreeze12 and 4 others like this. -
I've seen keyboard on these new laptops (and P870DM which I want in particular) is different from previous series (like P150EM which I have now or P370SM as another example). How big is the difference and how does it feel (if anyone here tried it already)?
Also I've seen that it is possible to install custom keyboard on it, is it correct? But first, is it even worth? Maybe default one is already good.
(All that considering that I find P150EM keyboard "okay", but I had to get used to a low profile keyboard after a "normal" one)Last edited: Oct 6, 2015 -
The keyboard on this appears to be the same as the one on the P750ZM/770ZM/750DM/770DM.jaybee83 likes this.
-
Well, yes, but the question is how it feels in general or compared to P1X0XM type
-
Tbh I don't like the P1X0EM Keyboards in Terms of "Feeling" (too squishy). In comparison to that I regarded the Keyboard of P1X0HM as superior or at least better (keystrokes were more pronounced, "knackiger" as you would say in german
). Lightings are "nice to have" but nothing I would miss....
Let's hope that the ZM/DM Keyboards are more than an improvement over the EM ones!

having owned both HM and ZM machines, i can say that the ZM keyboard is worlds better than the HM
im actually looking forward to writing my PhD thesis on this machine (even tho i actually despise the writing part, ugh)
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -
But on the other side the ZM/DM keyboards are waaay better than the EM ones, right?
-
Funny thing, I had this also in mind when I asked this. I'm going to write my thesis soon, lots of typing and this is one of my concerns. Another one is gaming of course (as much as one can do in this period of time
)

At that point you might as well get yourself a good usb keyboard. Or maybe a wireless one. My Logitech has been working for over a year on the same batteries.
Biggest gripe I have is when wasd and spacebar start to leave visible marks of overuse on any internal keyboard. I think its cheaper to just swap out the external keyboard than an internal one.
Same thing with ppl wanting to play games on an internal display. But thats something else ...Last edited: Oct 6, 2015 -

If you add all European Union countries, then I'll give you one of my kidneys! Postal fee for international packages is horrible in Hungary...with your prices if you had EU collect and return, not even the biggest German resellers could be a match for you

Seems Mythlogic's the first of the US sellers to list it: https://mythlogic.com/2015_Models/phobos8715s.php

yes, it was up last week. Still no answer to my question about QFHD display availability - http://forum.notebookreview.com/posts/10103096/TomJGX and Chansen-Institute like this.

4K displays will be available in P870DM, but we don't know exactly when.
-
I don't know of any 1440p or 3K 17" displays. They're common in 15"

Thx for some info about this.

Anyone confirmed the hz on the screen? 60 or 75? (maybe i'm dumb, but can't find me post about it)
-
Being a Gsync screen, it will be 75 hz.
-
-
...unless its 4K, then its just 60 Hz Gsync (for now)
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -
I think a 4k with g sync and 60 Hz is better for me than a 1080 with 75 Hz as I really appreciate the extra pixels and it can scale up nicely. I have the last Dell Precision (M6400) that had the 1920x1200 and I would really miss my extra pixels if I had to go for 1080... And I had to wait 6 years for that to happen. So I will buy it like it will be ;-)
-
With this panel can get 100hz un csgo?

How this laptop can get full potential of the CPU and GPU with a 230w ac adapter?
Enviado desde mi Nexus 5 mediante Tapatalk -
There is a 330W version plus a combined one (doubt 330W) for OC usage.
-
The g sync version should get you at least 75 Hz for the 1080 but the 4k might only have 60 Hz for now.
