Everki responded instantly during the weekend and has arranged for an overnight exchange of the Trolley as I will be between Taxi, Bus, Train and airports for the rest of the week...
    Great service! :)

Is there anybody in this world still capable of doing things right?

frozenCPU.com has send me the wrong thermal pads:

They sent me the 11w/mk version of the the 1.5mm pads instead of the 17w/mk we paid for and instead of the 3mm pads they sent 2mm twice...great! [IMG]

Asusparts.eu sent me the wrong Delta FANs as well, so that project is cancelled as well.
Hope to see at least my 70 bucks back...

EDIT: RECEIVED A FULL REFUND AND THEY ARE CHECKING THEIR STOCK TO AVOID FUTURE MIX-UPS FOR OTHER CUSTOMER!
Now I just need to find the Delta GPU FAN somewhere while on the go...

@Prema u gotta be kidding me *lol* this is slowly turning out to be quite the comedy sketch :D btw, have you proclaimed the detailed specs of your machine anywhere yet? curious! :)

oh, also, better get the 14w/mK pads, they seem to outperform the 17W/mK due to their more stable texture :) ill post a link in a jiffy

Well guys, looks like I will not be joining :(

My machine arrived late last week so I got down to getting my games installed and setting up win as I want it.

Comment on XMG build: Pretty good, max performance profile, no hibernate, no telemetry, not bad if I did not know what to look for. Only criticism was a couple of unwanted apps, McAfee (not fully installed) and Avast. Also a couple of components had been installed in German but usually only showed up in the name.

So, first thing was a Heaven 4 burn-in. After around 30 mins I had seen no GPU throttle or even boost loss. Temp on OC fan profile was 86c. Not great in my eyes but acceptable.

Then a 3DMark 11 run. This is where it started to go wrong. During the run I got loud audio clicks and occasional screen corruption between tests. The results were 30 points lower than my X8 running at 4.2mhz and +135 on the GPU's.

OK, so how does it actually game? I started with a brief session in Deus X and at max it run fine. The only thing I noticed was when shooting opponents instead of blood it showed small x's. I never investigated if this was setting related and went on to GTAV.

Maxed out all the settings @ 1440 and it looked and played great but only five mins in the machine hard locked. After restarting I no longer had ANY working GPU's. Long story short, I managed to get one card working but not the other. It still hard locks on the single card but performance was so good I would seriously question Sli for the gamer.

I love the panel, I cannot see the lines others have mentioned. What little gameplay I managed was very smooth and responsive with good contrast.

Upshot is that the machine has lost it's appeal so I'll probably spend the next six months messing around suppliers ( @Phoenix, haha, is it on or not right now?)

Get the 14w/mk how @jaybee83 suggested, they are more flexible and perform therefore better than the 17w/mk according to a review.

HOWEVER: @Meaker@Sager suggested to use 0.5 , 1.0 and 1.5 mm according to the picture he posted in this thread and recommended to leave the thicker clevo pads untouched. I closely followed his advice and used the 14w/mk. For what reason do you need 3mm? Do you recommend thicker pads than Meaker used?

    I'm sorry for you.
I also wanted to order at Schenker, but Eurocom had the WQHD displays first in the program and I absolutely wanted the WQHD display and Prema Bios Partner.
Hopefully, Schenker repairs your notebook quickly.

Hes not asking to donate to Prema. The moment someone accepts something in exchange for a BIOS dump , that will open up a whole new can of worms.

Why would the first course of action be to try to pay someone else for the dumps instead of PMing Prema or making a public forum post inquiring about it? He obviously knew something he was doing wasn't kosher.

Clevo land haha I just purchased my first clevo... I'm an alienware guy and every bios I have ever gotten for it was freely available. Again I had no idea there was such a huge issue with requesting this, dumps, donations are common practice with my alienware machine. But like I said if this is what the notebook forum community is like over here... Woah I should've stuck with Alienware... Geez!

Anyway I sent prema a message I am more then willing to donate to prema. The author and designer of anything deserves my money.

I contacted prema, would be more then willing to donate. Let the witch hunt end please. No more public shaming... But again maybe my shaming will help others so maybe I am wrong... I'll sacrifice and get publicity so others do not make this mistake and TBoneSan attacks them as well.

    How can ghosting be counteracted?
Also, how do games running in the 50s or 60s look like? Are they as smooth as if they were running in the 70s or 80s? Asking because on the LG display many games in the 50s and 60s of FPS does not look good. GSync is trying to smooth it out but they are not close being looking as smooth as on a 144hz 1ms GSync monitor...yes, this screen isnt exactly like that either but is it noticeably better then the LG 75 hz IPS panel? On the LG the textures in many games don't look smooth when moving around and they look if they were shaking or vibrating...for example Rise of The Tomb Raider on a 144 hz 1 ms panel look better running in the 40s then on the LG panel running in the 50s. Also, I don't know if its the game's fault but Far Cry 4 shows this problem also when its running with 75 fps...moving around and the movement of the textures don't look smooth its if they were vibrating or shaking...
Tried many Nvidia drivers and did not fix it. 3DMark points and temps are fine.

Really need to let it go bud, im sure others have. You have apologized and stated you dont have any bad intentions, that is more than enough. And no, this is not a witch hunt, stop stating that again and again.
You cant blame people for jumping the gun, since we have been burned multiple times. And one unauthorized release will not only burn the author but multiple re-sellers as well.
If you are basing your purchases off of how people behave, then im not sure how you can even tolerate Alienware systems. End of the day its what makes your happy and keeps you satisfied.

Welcome to the community, im sure it was not the type of welcome you were expecting, but hey nothing in life is perfect. Hope you enjoy your system and do not hesitate to message me if i can ever be of any assistance.

    That is overstating the case.

Many have explained why it appeared you were looking for a pirated Prema BIOS and vBIOS, and why this was unsettling.

Many others have commented that once explained, you gracefully apologized, because you did not realize this was a private work of Member @Prema.

It is quite different from Alienware, or any other manufacturer, making the BIOS available to their users.

By still claiming the members here are on a witch hunt is simply stirring the pot, and not only unproductive, but unnecessary. Your honest mistake has been forgiven...it is time to move on and make the best decision about what laptop will serve your needs best.

    .
