I haven't heard any more information on this either @Eurocom Support ?

Hello Notebook Brothers!
How sensitive this beast is - can be seen with a notebook cooler.
With the Notepal U3 Plus and additional 3 original fans(Buy on Ebay), a positive temperature difference results only if the notebook is exactly aligned to the airflow of the fans of the notebook fan.
Of course you should adjust this so that the air openings of the notebook can also process the air.
Thus 1 cm too far up or 1 cm too far down can already make a few degrees C. For this, it plays a role whether one freed all grids for the air supply.
I will add two additional fans 4mm Enermax 4000 rpm to fill the air openings completely(The adapters I already ordered.).
I would like to drill the notebook cooler with a hole saw as with some overclockers here to improve the ventilation.
Maybe I'll buy 2 more Xigmatek AOS XAF-F1253 - fan with 75.3 CFM airflow, noise level 24 dBA, 1500 rpm and build these two fans instead of the original fans.
Let's see.
For the Mod Copper Shim on the Heatsinks CPU / GPU I have [3M ™] 9448A Adhesive Foil Double-sided Heat Resistant Adhesive Tape Y9448B for thermal pad
Ordered.
Then the Copper platelets will keep better and hopefully keep the already good temperatures down.
At the moment I am very satisfied.
When gambling, I have ample temperatures after all the improvements and the underpower of the CPU and GPU (Throttlestop Performing Profile = CPU -190.4 mv at 4.2 Ghz / GPU at 975mv 1860 Mhz).
Gambling highest settings Stalker OSGE:
CPU 55-66 degrees C
GPU 61-64 degrees C
Overclocks I have already tried.
CPU goes loosely to 4.7 Ghz and remains stable.
But of course you have to make adjustments.
With adaptive -190.4 mv, the CPU does not run at 4.3 GHz.
As soon as I'm finished with my improvements, I'll do more tests.
Screen photos will follow later. -
I am helping testing it. It's awesome but not final product, so I am not allowed to post pictures.
It's firmware needs more fine-tuning...they are already testing a new beta update in-house with added features and tweaked FAN control, waiting for @Eurocom Support to send it...
Pulling 480W (it has a build-in display) with initial DM3 beta Mod BIOS ([email protected], GPU@stock) and it's not breaking a sweat, let's see what it can really do after we add the vBIOS...
Once you go single PSU, you never go back to dual!

built-in display! separate firmware! holy guacamole, its gonna be the holy grail of mobile PSUs out there!
i want one already! even though i dont sport a SLI config! this info is already mouth watering haha

Donald,
Thanks for that info. On my delid of a 4770k I did all of the following except applying Permatex 82180. This was a few years ago and have not had any issues but it is a good idea and maybe I was lucky. Two questions.
1. Will the 7700k when it comes out be compatible with NP9873?
2. Does HIDevolution sell a processor that has a delid like explained above as a premium price or only on a new system build?hmscott likes this. -
Will that work for the P775DM3-G too? The current 330W is kinda borderline for a 6700K and GTX 1080

It'll work on all brands of Notebooks that use 19-20v as the connector is detachable.

Nice, still plan on buying one and upgrading from the smaller heatsync to reduce temperatures. Maybe as a Christmas present from the wife. Feel bad about just buying it for the heck of it since I don't really need one.

Maybe a 400 to 450 watt would be sufficient for overclocking with the single cards; however, if it works and is the same size as the 330 watt!! Very nice.hmscott likes this. -

Knowing NBR, I'm sue there is somebody here thinking of how to overclock the PSU and set custom fan profiles on that fan.

You can't post pictures of the psu. But maybe you can give us the psu size numbers?

Wow, smaller than the current one...now I really need one
-
Thanks
For me isn't the size of the power adapter so important, but maybe for others
I forgot to ask about the weight

I think the convenience is the biggest key, not having to lug around the extra cording for the 2nd brick, as well as the dual PSU adapter
-
-
It's not the size, it's how you use it
-
metal body! internal fan! detachable cable! AND barely any bigger than the current 330W psu?! does the feature list ever end?

You know someone is going to put two of those and join them together!

The bios is 1.05.06.
I run the same 950mv and 1860mhz for the GPU.
I undervolt cpu at -150mv and 4.2 ghz on 4 cores.
Previously before the bios update my fans would run annoyingly even when the temps were under 50c. When playing Black Ops 3 at 1440 ( I know, noone likes that game) on auto fans the temps would run to 90c+ and go to full speed.
Now, with no throttlestop or ccc or xtu they dont go to full ever and are whisper quiet when idling/surfing. -
The most we ever pulled where some 820W+ (IIRC) with OCed 980 SLI, 6700K and all board limits removed in the original Phoenix...the Adapter was build accordingly. IIRC it can hold 900W peak over short period.Last edited: Nov 17, 2016Papusan, Techhawk54, lctalley0109 and 3 others like this.

Damn!
And is that after taking into account the efficiency ?Papusan likes this. -

I'll be interested to see a teardown of the final product to see what topology they decide to go with and what filtering is in place. Half bridge primary with synchronous secondary is particularly popular in the higher end desktop SFX units.
-
Lol I think he posted a picture of his 4 PSU setup.
-
Yep, each 980 (mobile) pulled 260W in those tests.

So much good stuff to look forward to in the near future. Awesome PSU and Prema magic.
This definitely supports my theory that the vapor chamber is a huge reason why my cooler is so effective then. I easily get a 10-15C improvement when using auto fans, even when the laptop is almost slipping off the pad. -
WoW!! Thanks for the solid information Prema!!
Really excited to see the final product, did you say it can support 800W reliably? So this would be sufficient for OCed I7700k and 1080SLI !!!hmscott likes this. -

7600k?
Is that a typo or are you trying to tell us something

It shows how efficient the 1080 is

Here are the promised pictures.

I would replace those fans. The stock ones that come with the U3 push basically zero air and are totally worthless.

Here is a screenshot of Fallout 4.

The corsair magnetic levitation ones should be quite nice as well (it's a high pressure required scenario)

Found it in the BIOS under the Overclocking menu, set the DIMM Profile to "XMP Profile 2".
Found that the system would not boot until I removed one of the RAM sticks, booted, then shut down, re-installed the 2nd RAM stick, booted again.
Now CPU-Z shows the DRAM Frequency at 1496MHz.CaerCadarn, jaybee83, afloyd and 1 other person like this. -

on my system, I didn't have to remove any RAM sticks, just set to to XMP profile 2 and save then exit and it's done.
Anyway, glad you got it to workhmscott likes this. -

Are the lines problem for the 3k screen being fixed?
Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
there's nothing to be fixed, it's how the screen is.
at normal viewing distance, you don't even see them. only when you pull your face forward closer to the screen do you see them, which isn't how a normal user uses his computer anyway
the screen is so smooth and fluid it's unbelievableMr. Fox, Techhawk54, hmscott and 4 others like this. -

So I've lucked out in the Clevo Copper lottery. Got myself an absolute stinker again... again
Ahhhr Clevo why? why?! Is a little more manufacturing tolerance and QC too much to ask?
More important than a Silicon Lottery chip for me right now is a heatsink that applies pressure to the whole IHS. The pressure that it applies is so lopsided.
Glad you like it too. That's exactly how I feel about it. It's fantastic. I wouldn't swap it for anything else. The inherit fault of being able to see rows of pixels 3 inches away doesn't bother me since it goes for just about anything. The color's are fantastic and its bright with a fast response. Yummy!
I think the thing people are forgetting is there is no such thing as a perfect monitor.Last edited: Nov 17, 2016Ashtrix, Papusan, Techhawk54 and 5 others like this. -

or put a thick thermal paste like IC Diamond and be done with it.
I didn't even wanna try my luck with LCU so I applied IC Diamond on the CPU and 2 GPUs using the X Cross method for all of em. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
So you adjusted the pads and the contact is still bad?hmscott, Donald@Paladin44 and TBoneSan like this. -
Even with thicker paste its shameful. I'm buying a new one and RMAing the old one. I'll get 2 shots in the lottery..
Yes I even tried a different set of thinner pads too

d00d did you try grabbing any window in explorer or any program and dragging it in a circular motion? you'll see how smooth the screen is! -
