Can you take a picture of the pad layout, what thickness you put in and the contact pattern left.

    I meant first time.using a 75+ Hz display..
I know you have the 120hz one.
I have been using 144hz monitors painful for quite some time, anything lower just feels painful now.

oh I had a ROG Swift 144hz screen on my previous Origin PC Millennium desktop but I don't know, I never felt that smoothness, probably because how ASUS matte screens suck, their colors appear washed out as if you spilled a can of grease over your screen, heck I remember on my old ASUS G750JX with a matte screen, it was the dullest screen I ever looked at.

Sure, I'll take another picture when I take it off next. I believe I used 1mm + 1.5 doubled up to make to 2.5mm replace the front pad that's closer to the CPU. I had hoped that would level it off the contact.
Still, the pads made good contact though. I wanted to try 1mm at front and 1.5mm at on the pad next to it but needed to check they'd make contact first.
Needless to say I don't think they'll make a difference due to the way the Heatsink bolts up with the GPU heatsink at the rear.

On a more serious note, let me know how you like it and be ready for v1.1 tomorrow which will be even better
the difference between without the profile and WITH is like night and day difference.

Using the Spyder5Pro software it allows you to compare the difference with an on/off button and man, the normal profile looks so white and dull like a ghost compared to this lively and rich in color profile

    GPU1: 32C [ICD]

Another noobie question (man I'm learning so much from this community!), when I run memtest86, should I accept the defaults and just let it run. Or should I go under configuration and change something? Also, how many passes? I'm thinking probably let it run overnight.

Reason I'm running memtest86 is I've had 2 hard locks in BF1, so I wanted to rule out the memory first. I know it's probably the Geforce driver I'm using, v375.86. Everything else has been stable.

default settings are fine, let it just run overnight for like 8-10 hours. the number of passes depends on the amount of memory installed in your system (32gigs takes double amount of time than 16gigs, naturally). at 32gigs, i have 3-4 passes overnight and its sufficient for complete everyday stability.

NO!! this is only for that particular screen.

If you don't even know what a screen your laptop has, then please dont even bother.

On a side note, you can check your screen type by downloading AIDA64 Extreme and going to throw monitor section to see your screen model

Very nice! I installed my alphacool 14 w/mk pads as well late last night. While I did not see a temperature change, still 44C at idle with background use I am sure the memory is sitting at a better temperature even though I can't measure this. This was at room temp 70 degrees with a single GPU and single heatsync. I would like to thank meaker as well!! How is everyone else doing at idle?

35*C minimum on the CPU cores for me...
    40*C on GPU
    41/42*C on the RAM

I can't even hear the fans running

3DM11 overall score relies on the Physics score as well. Try out Fire Strike and it should be fine.

Looking at your combined score it seems you could have some throttling going on. Run the combined test and log your cpu and confirm or look at the cpu graph.

    That is a bit weird. My 980 Tis can hit 25600. Thought that's with a 5820k @ 4.5GHz.

What's your actual graphics score in that? My record 25700 had a 38182 graphics score.

I just received my stock EVOC P870DM3 with a single 1080 and a 1440p120 display. Any recommended modifications? I remember people talking about replacing the fans back when I was following this thread (and by that I mean I'd read all of the 300 odd pages).

Regardless I always recommend to get your benchmarks right away so you can determine if you are moving forward or backwards with any changes. After this you will know the first step to take from your results.
