3) soon we will have the Prema BIOS then I can guide you how to maximize the system power draw, increase the power limits, Turbo Power Max, IA Current/VR Current limit to ensure your system has enough juice all the time to not throttle (unless it was a thermal throttle that is)

4) Do not install Cleco Contro Center further than this version as it contains built in XTU which will mess up your fan tables and cause them to randomly spin up even when doing basic stuff such as web browsing: Control Center AP v5.0001.0.50

I upgraded my NVIDIA driver and now it seems firestrike fails to run LOL.

 

Oh God I hate win X so much. All these years of win 7, never had any issues. But only two weeks with windows X, my internet has started to disconnect. Connection to the router remains but I loose DNS.
I have searched online and it seems to be a windows 10 issue.

Does anybody have any advice.

It could be the combo of killer card and windows 10 causing the problem.
I know the easy solution to replace the card, but i will try to fiddle with it first to see if i can fix it.

I really wished the dm3 supported win7 and raid. I have several games that require 7 that won't run on 10. I might end up loosing my raid setup when it gets here to dual boot. Unless @Prema magic bios fixes raid and windows 7...

Prema's BIOS will support 7. When it's released I will install 7 because the stock BIOS doesn't have CSM support.

 

You can try setting the DNS servers to google's in your network adapter's settings.... I have in the past had issues with my ISP and have just always done that and rarely had issue with DNS since.

Apparantly the FlexiAccess I had read about in the manual while waiting on my beast... I had already installed it on my phone, haha. But my version of CCC 5.0001.0.83 doesn't have FlexiAccess. Make sure you have the bluetooth link paired with your PC, that seems to be a requirement

There is only one 1440p / 120hz / 5ms panel for the P870DM3 and actually there is only one currently in the wild. It is also the same panel that is on other laptops too. So in this case there is no other panels it can be confused with.

 

yeah I know that brah, what I meant is that if he doesn't know which screen he has as in, the FHD 75 hz panel or the 120hz 3K or the 60hz 4K panel

Mostly because Windows 10 sucks. Also because you haven't overclocked the CPU far enough to make 3DMark 11 sing to you. That 4.2GHz clock speed is for BGA jockeys, bro. Push it up to at least 4.7GHz.

 

You can install W7 with the stock BIOS just fine. I did and so have others. Simply disable UEFI and you're good to go with MBR disks.

It does. I had it set up that way with stock BIOS.

I have an NVMe drive so for me I want to install in CSM mode for proper boot times. In legacy the boot time is like two whole minutes.

 

Here is about 25 minutes of BF1 at your CPU settings for me with FPS. The GPU had a +50mhz.

I forgot to install fraps, I just usually watch FPS in game... Have to make another run either later or tomorrow and record FPS stats. I did +50MHz GPU like you, and ran with "overclock" fan profile in CCC, same CPU settings as before.

All ULTRA video settings @ 1440/120Hz

Well that's a good comparison. I think the difference in temps mainly gpu is because of the upgrade to the heatsync that you got. I'll be exited to get one installed!

Well guys, I likely won't be able to get my P870DM3 for a while. My father had surgery on Monday to remove one of his kidneys which had a massive tumor on it. Today we got confirmation it was cancer. While he has health insurance to cover a lot of his medical expenses, he never got supplemental insurance for times like this when he wouldn't be able to work. I've decided to help pay my parents bills while my father recovers (could take a few months).

So at this point, I won't be able to afford anything over four thousand while managing two households and their expenses. I am telling you all because I feel I made really good friendships here and I will remain on here, helping those with my knowledge of computers. It's too bad, I really wanted that beast, but family and friends comes before me.

With the Prema BIOS, you can set the Video boot to legacy rather than UEFI. that's what's missing in the stock BIOS

OS selection option must not be set correctly on the stock BIOS on the hidden menus that you cannot change around. Maybe mine were set differently on the hidden menus and I got lucky. Once you have the @Prema BIOS you'll be able to do almost anything you feel like doing, whether Micro$haft likes it or not. You can thank the Redmond Retards for those option being hidden. They want you using whatever you want as long as it is Windoze X. Those sorry bass turds.
