Well, here we go...hold on to your wallet. The upgrade kit is now available. Just search for - GTX 1080 Upgrade Kit.
The good news is, if you already have the GPU Vaper Chamber + matching CPU heatsink, you don't have to buy it again with the kit.

Hi Bro,
For all the brave enough here are times a picture of an Aqua tuner based on a PC GTX 1080.
The nonconductive heat transfer paste would be a better solution for some - maybe even for Hidevolution - to cool the GPU even better.
This is where Liquid Metal works on the GPU chip.
And to prevent the leakage, the nonconductive thermal paste is pasted around the GPU.
At your own risk!
The whole project of the Aqua Tuner can be seen here:

Give meh teh maximum RAMMAGE @64GB. I only use 4GB personally the rest goes for bragging rights

Hi Donald @ Hidevolution,
The nice thing is, that the Riva Tuner server indicates the memory used in games (physical memory load)!
And since almost 16 GB of RAM are enough for games.
Applications require even less memory.
Who uses 64 GB - should perhaps a RAM DISK set up and the memory useful as a cache.TomJGX, afloyd, lctalley0109 and 1 other person like this. -
I just pulled the trigger. I went with dual 1080s, 3k display, silicon lottery delid, 1tb 7200 HDD (I have 3 Samsung SSD sitting on my desk doing nothing), 64GB g.skill 3000. Donald and Ted over at HIDevolution were the most helpful people. I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase to go through HID.
Now I wait by the door for delivery. @Phoenix I'm hoping to get a session with you when this thing gets here.

Nice, although having an external radiator in a notebook would kind of defeat the point

you sure will my friend. Once you get it, you can tag me again and I will send you a PM with how we can connect.
I will then see if you need any tweaking, disable all the Windows 10 bloatware / privacy invasion junk, and give you new settings for the 3000 MHz. RAM that help make them more stable.
Once the Prema BIOS is finalized, you will get another session as well where I will walk you through all the BIOS options and help you in any overclocking concerns.
Great choice you went with the Silicon Lottery delidded CPU like me, makes our lives easier

This is not so absurd.
You could theoretically if you have fun - in the buttom case drill a hole and operate an external radiator and that also in connection with a water cooling.
Asus sells his notebook with a water cooling system.
An Alienware notebook hobbyist has already implemented this.

Here is the most crazy water cooling:

The Asus is heavy and still noisy and the alienware did not release as internal systems don't have a large radiator to get the benefit.
Hence why I said what I did

It is funny, you would more likely be burning the power pins off of the plug or popping traces off of the PCB's.

Does anyone have any real pictures of the 780W power supply that they're allowed to share?

I cannot figure out how to apply a CPU undervolt in the bios. It says -500 to 500 but I can't figure out how to make it go negative. Tried minus keys and arrows, and about every other key I could think of. Also I only have very few options compared to what I had on my P870DM, both purchased from HID, not sure what is going on. BIOS bootup says something like "Note"which is really odd.

Wait for Prema BIOS to be released. That is the stock BIOS right now.Porter likes this.

I would leave the voltage at stock until we get the Prema BIOS
As you said, the stock BIOS is messed up, you cannot enter a negative value. I told @Meaker@Sager about thislctalley0109, bloodhawk and Porter like this. -
Oh wow, thanks guys. No Prema BIOS after this long? I knew there was a BIOS being tested but I assumed it was an updated version, not the first version for this model lol. In all my reading I missed any mention of this (not that I read every post on every page).
Now I understand why Donald mentioned it. I was thinking to myself, I'm not waiting for for a simple update, not realizing it was the whole deal.lctalley0109, bloodhawk and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

Well, very in depth would cover the kind of specs Hardocp would look at, but still sufficient for most people
I would have though some rubber surrounds around the edges like you see on some bench equipment would have helped the design:
http://www.loneoceans.com/labs/tekpower/DP832A.jpg
(thinner and in black to match the casing either end) it would also make it a bit more rugged.
Looks solid though, it would be fun to have a proper look at

You could try out override if you like. I have not been using adaptive but have just figured out what to run mine at. For instance 4.3x4, 4.2 cache is stable at 1070mv for me. -
i could imagine it being more accurate than an external watt-o-meter at the socket
at least that would be my minimal expectation

Basically a detailed spec sheet would have graphs over a variety of tests rather than giving discreet values. That along with transient load testing.
It's a good basic spec sheet, but for detailed I am quite picky. -

My P870DM2 has been acting strangely since yesterday. When I press the power button it turns off and then powers down before the screen turns on. When I press the power again it starts normally. Has anyone else had this issue? The only thing that happened before this is that I flew and when I put my laptop back in my bag after the security check I got a substantial electrical shock.

@D2 Ultima throw a DEMCiflex filter on it. This one looks like it might fit: http://www.demcifilter.com/p0024/Double-40mm-ID-Computer-Dust-Filter.aspx
If not, DEMCiflex does custom size filters too.Ashtrix, lctalley0109, Papusan and 3 others like this. -
Ha. The sad part is it'll cost many times the price of that filter to get it shipped here haha. If it still allows enough airflow (my country is *HOT* and humid) then if I were to get one of those I'd certainly look into it. Thanks!lctalley0109 and EmberV like this.
