Well I will still take a lot of loss on them and even after that a barebones is coming down to be about $1k cheaper.

Yeah I did the match last night and tops I can sell the Xtra components for about $1500 ( if I'm lucky), which will take a lot more time.
And minus that the barebones is coming to about $500 less.

I was looking for a way to make it worthwhile, but doesn't seem there is a way, without me spending a lot of time and resources to sell the extra things.

Honestly I just want to find that it works and strongly attempt to persuade certain forward-thinking resellers like HIDevolution and Eurocom and Obsidian PC to include them... because we need the best screens.

Has anyone tried OCing their RAM to 3400 or above?
I've been using Brother @Mr. Fox 's settings for 3200 which are stable at all clocks so far. I'd like to see if I can get more. Anyone got any suggestions for some timings?

I was going to try overclocking the ram more but one thing I noticed about the new Sager Bios is it does not give you a option to increase the voltage on the ram. Very strange the older bios did.

Room temp is 28.4c (in KSA)
Fans are much better now, Automatic and overclock are smooth, only difference between is that overclock can go 100% (when gpu at 75c, and/or cpu at 85c) while automatic at 80%.

Vsync will mess with it. I think you have to disable it with the control panel. They might be using an external panel with Gsync I had that issue with mine.

This is my DM3 with everything at stock (NO G-SYNC / NO OC):

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/11487686

P.S: Prema Mod user (1080/SLI), don't flash that EC posted a page back or your system will start to throttle and there will be no way back.

CPU didn't throttle nor GPU, I used OCCT and Heaven at the same time.

You have 1070s (single?!) which pulls a lot less power than two 1080s.

Ah yes 1070 as my main rig, and dual 1080 for a friend im configuring, gotta check it, thnx.
Didnt know the EC measures total power.

Edit: Any idea how to revert in case I upgrade gpu in the future? Thank you kindly.

Edit2: I just ran test on the dual 1080, can you tell me what exactly throttles? I see no issues though CPU not oced yet.

Edit3: Maybe you mean the older versions? Iv seen something like that on this thread before. I used the KBL file if that helps.

WTF, maybe that article is some paid ad? 6k difference between your unit and their DM3. Is that a huge margin? The configuration of the reviewer unit are as follows:

overclocked 4.5-GHz Intel Core i7-6700K processor
    16GB of RAM
    dual 256GB NVMe PCI-e M.2 SSDs with a 1TB, 7,200-rpm hard drive;
    a pair of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs with 8GB of VRAM each;
    4K Nvidia G-Sync display.

Isn't it obvious that the reviewer might have forgotten to disable g-sync?... This wouldn't happen with the msi since it does not have a g-sync display...

How can this bios lead to irreversible throttling??
Thank god I did not try it out, however still on my original bios which leads to random restarts at least once a day...

So the culprit is the g-sync. It's sad that this kind of reviews http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/origin-eon-17-slx-10-series is coming from this so called "tech experts". The lack of details on how they benchmark this types of units provides us consumers with false information!

Yes im very curious to know aswell, maybe if its bad bios/ec combo, or he/she referred to 1.5, since the KBL update is very recent.
But here I am with sli gpus that do not throttle, more input would be appreciated.

Edit: I can flash the older EC to confirm, but im afraid of brick.

That. Just set the CPU to 5Ghz run FireStrike and watch it drop...like times square at new years...it also amplifies the higher you go with the GPU.

If you are not using premamod then how could you loose it by flashing something else?
This was only for mod user as we fixed it for the mod. ;)

Oh Im assuming this is common with all non-prema EC, am I correct?
    Thanks for the input.

Edit: cooling doesnt allow higher, but at 4.5ghz there is no CPU frequency drop

LMAFO - like times square at new years. Yes when I had my Sager P870DM3 with 1080 SLI, it had MAJOR throttling and that's why I sent it back.

Yes it started like one generation back when Clevo sent a spy into MSI headquarters and he came back this awesome info of how to implement low level board throttle also in Clevo systems... ;)

EDIT: Before this 'joke' starts a bashing war. You could also insert Asus or Alienware right there as they all used it before Clevo...

LMAO thats sad, should have bought from prema partner but oh well, friend doesn't do a thing but game.

Testing the KBL EC might be useful for non Prema users, maybe it was fixed it beforehand. I didnt test with CPU OC on original Sager EC/Bios :(

Edit: Perhaps one of the representatives could help or support info about the new EC/BIOS, having different fan profile (finally) is promising and can also mean other changes.

Technically the culprit is V-sync as G-sync only works up to the refresh rate, then you choose if you want to free roll or get limited by V-sync.
