    Nice 51x validations!

Not sure how effective it will be without @Prema BIOS, but this might be useful to get things closer to a stable tweaking starting point for DM3 owners that are less experienced at CPU overcocking.

    Mr. Fox's 6700K ThrottleStop Settings Backup.zip

Grab the latest TS from @unclewebb's signature.

Edit: updated link because I forgot two screen shots. 4.3 and 4.5 work fine with stock voltage. There are two screen shots for profiles with 4.5 and 4.3. Stock voltage should work fine at those lower overclocks. If not, try the alternate voltage settings. Test with Cinebench R11.5 and 3DMark 11 physics tests.

    Guys,
I am playing the new Deus Ex on my DM3. GeForce experience says not to play it maxed out. Is this correct!? How can dual 1080s not play this maxed out in 4K?

It may just be a crappily coded game. It's not uncommon to see sloppy work by game devs mess things up to where nothing works well when maxed out. In addition to crappy coding, gimmick bloatware like NVIDIA GameWorks CrapWorks can produce a similarly poor experience with maxed out settings even using crazy powerful hardware. Better to have fun than to be bored with watching a choppy slideshow on fast-forward.

Most multi format games are geared towards being optimised for consoles first and formost. Id say rockstar are the exception the time between console release and pc release is actually spent optimising the game. And the few devs who have roots originating from pc game develpoment theres not many of those left either.

I see, thanks for the information. I was thinking of going the XMG route but then the sheer savings advantage with PC Specialist swayed my decision. I am assuming you went for their premium-grade 36-month warranty?

    @Yaka

Who would this 'least favourite UK Clevo seller' be?

    Re: Deus Ex Mankind Divided

The game's performance is biased towards AMD. Also, by the dev team's own admission, the absolute high-end settings with maximum MSAA are something they conceptualised for high end cards down the road/future hardware. With MSAA to the max in that manner, and a poor SLi profile, It's just too much of a drag on system resources.

Nevertheless, to be fair, this game does run on console-equivalent PC hardware at similar performance to the consoles, if not with slightly better visuals and frame rate stability.

This game is AMD optimized. Or shall i say not optimized for Nvidia game works.
For once Nvidia is on the same level ground as AMD and it seems that AMD is surprisingly well.

It just shows how AMD GPUs would've performed if AMD sunk a ton of money and man-hours on fixing DX11 performance. Nothing else, really. Also the devs said that you'll need quite the rig to run it maxed-out.

    Ordered from HID Evolution:

    P870DM3
    1080SLI
    6700K w/ CLU
    4K G-Sync
16GB DDR4/2400 (I have another 16GB from current build to add)
1 TB SSHD (have SSD and Samsung Pro that I will add and reinstall windows onto)
Intel AC8260 (I have the Killer on current build, figure why not try something different)

Sounds like it will be a few weeks until I have it. Looking forward to Prema Bios. As much as I like the P870DM I currently have, when I bought it I didn't know about the bios and have regretted not having it (that and the 4K screen) after listening to all of you rave about it. Fortunately bought used and got a good deal from forum member so hopefully wont get killed on sale. My M18X lasted almost 4.5 years (upgraded 680M SLI) before I felt the need for something new. If I can get 3 years out of this I'll be happy - assuming it can't be upgraded. I'm also fortunate to have a son who will be ready for a hand me down in 3-4 years too.

You'll enjoy the bios, definitely (even though I still consider myself quite the novice when it comes to which settings to manipulate, but it's all about experimentation per capita I guess). How much did your total come out to be? I've been playing around with configs on HIDevolution for the P870DM3 with slight variations in components depending on what I think I'll need versus buy later. Did they specify why it'll take so long (back-ordering)?

$4395 (includes 2nd year of warranty). I also played around with a bunch of different choices trying to figure out how to cannibalize my current system. Ultimately decided it would be easier to sell my current laptop complete (or almost complete) rather than as a barebones w/o CPU, RAM, etc. We'll see, kind of slow out there. Spoke to Donald, and he indicated that things were back-ordered for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to get it by end of September, so he said 'don't wait, get in line'.

Question.... how is it that ORIGIN PC can have 120Hz panels with G-SYNC as a Clevo reseller but Xotic, Sager, AVADirect, and others do not?? Does ORIGIN get their screens from somewhere else?? I am in need of upgrading my NP8690 as I cannot upgrade it any further.... Hearing about the screen upgrades and now seeing they are almost non-existent........ Makes me wonder......

I ordered mine a few days ago, and Donald@HIDevolution indicated the backup is being caused by a shortage of the 4K g-SYNC displays. I too am hoping for my machine to arrive in mid to late September.

Interesting. Have you tried messaging origin about the listing? I emailed metabox about their clevo "4k 120hz g-sync AUO (coming soon)" listing for panels and they said they may have something one month from then (I received a reply on 19 August 2016). I checked back recently and noticed that option is MIA so maybe they projected too early and backtracked for now. It's always best to message and follow-up where possible. ;-)

I have messaged Origin, they confirmed that their panels are both 120Hz and G-SYNC compatible. This was through their live chat option.

I did not inquire further about the panel model number. I just asked them to verify the specifications on the panel and they took about 10 minutes or so to confirm with me over the chat option.

I also noticed their models only come with a one-year warranty where other resellers come with a two-year warranty standard.
