With mine it was using slot 1-4 and using manual timings.

Use an 8700K rather than the 9700 series for basically the same result for now.

    Customer does not want i7-8700k

And its cost in Russia is not the best. i7-9700K can be bought by adding 50 dollars.

You add on 50 dollars on the 8700K to get the 9700K? That's not a good deal.

Plus if you are selling this then maybe pay the bios developer for some private work.

    Here are the current prices: i7-8700k ~ 386 dollars, i7-9700k ~ 406 dollars.

I am ready to pay for the bios mod if a person does it for me and my clients.

Only who is ready to make an individual mod for money?

I'm considering replacing the display of my P870KM (not P870KM1, or -G), but there seem to be some models which use eDP 30-pin and others which use 40-pin eDP cables.

Is there any way of finding out which one I need without removing the display first? (Because I would like to do that when I already have the new display.) And does anyone know at which position (left/center/right) the connector needs to be?

Currently I have a Full HD, 60 Hz, no G-Sync display.

On another note, are there any specifics beside that in regards to what kind of display I need? Laptop displays seem to be very similar across the board in terms of whether they fit inside. Thickness and placement of screws and such things.

Each panel can only have one connector so check your hardware ID in device manager or use a program like HWinfo and find out what yours is, most likely a 30 pin.

I recently have been having issues where my CPU is running hot inexplicably.

I’m not pushing any new boundaries or anything like most of you more skilled users but I am just seeking your input to see if you all can lend me some aid.

I am running the 7700K with a modest overclock which has never been an issue thermally until the past month.

My CPU temps idle around 50 Celsius which does not concern me as much even though I used to idle around 42 Celsius. The main problem is when put under load the system quickly climbs to around 94-96 Celsius within a short 5 minute stress test and sometimes I even notice micro stutters even though HWInfo claims no thermal or power throttling detected.

I do live in South Florida but we have air conditioning and keep the home at 23 Celsius.

I have disassembled the computer and did a thorough cleaning of the vapor chamber and fans with compressed air and isopropyl alcohol.

I have applied new Conductonaut liquid metal between the CPU die and IHS and Kryonaut between the IHS and heatsink.

I have reset the bios and ran it at defaults with negligible differences.

I am out of ideas as far as where to look next. I have always kept up maintenance on a yearly basis and have had no issues for nearly 3 years.

Yes I did. Fin stacks, ventilation holes in the chassis, wiped the fan blades down with isopropyl alcohol. I took the time to make it all spotless before reassembly.

It originally came with IC Diamond however I did switch out to Kyronaut as I was maintaining it over the years so it isn't a recent change.

Have you checked the fitment like I suggested? 0.5mm can make 12C differences in temperatures.

Yes, I took it back apart to check coverage and pressure looks good over the CPU

Yeah when I stress test I always run the fans at maximum

I thinking about getting VC for my machine. But VC would be from DM3 version gpu+cpu.

And here is my question- do you think that this could help with temps on cpu side if I going to use only one gpu?

it might be way more better and easier modification than to mod MB to fit TMs cpu heatsync.

I found reseller that could sell it for 300$ (DM3 vc+cpu)

The flow really is only one way on the dm3 from gpu to CPU HS area. It was more for a quad core setup.

I am considering replacing my GTX1080 with a RTX2080, in my P750TM1-G Mostly due to the very low temperatures. And small performance boost at 1080P.

First re-hashed mobile graphics on old Turing (Super - Also called Milking). Then desktop cards on new arch. Nvidia have to do it in the correct order as you know :D

The only advantage I see is the temps due to the massive die size. And overclocking memory to 16GBPS does sound fun. I just want a new toy to play with haha.

Do you think power modding my GTX1080 is worth it even though my temps are like 80C or under 80C?

Temps will jump to 80c and beyond much faster with the power mod, as there will be no frequency fluctuation and the vrms will run hotter as well.

At around 83C it will start pulling clocks though IIRC due to temperature.

At 83c it will throttle harder for sure, but it will already begin to drop clocks when temps reach 38c and higher. Dropping 12MHz each step.
Not sure if RTX card suffer the same fate.

13mhz jumps is one thing but hard throttling past 83c will be far more unpleasant.

A power modded 1080 in a p750tm1 will hit that 83c throttle within minutes in games/benches.

But for the cost of upgrading the entire platform you are looking at best barely a double digit percentage improvement with all the heat and noise that comes with that.
