Perhaps due to price and that you opt for i5 8400. I do not know. Maybe check out if they offer both variants depending on cpu.

I'd certainly recommend the 330W for a K series CPU, the 230W will run a 1070 and non-k.

Thanks for reply . Ill buy PSU 330W when i upgrade to i5 8600k .

does P751TM1 120hz panel always have G-Sync? i notice that mine don't have G-Sync lol..... . T_T
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
No panel will always be G-sync. The GPU needs to support it too.

So if i replace gpu from P751dm-2 (60hz screen gsync) 1070 to new p751tm1 120hz no gsync it will work?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
If thd card comes from a non gsync system then no it will not do internal gsync.

i5 8400 + GTX 1070 still is a beast !
Max temps on CPU and GPU 65 C only
. I only repaste it with Grizzly Kryonaut .
Tuesday ill upgrade my CPU to i5 8600k (delid+lm) and will show you guys some more benchmarks with temps

Does anybody know how to access the wireless card? I'm trying to replace but not sure how to get to it.

It's under the keyboard . You have to remove screws holding keyboard and then pull keyboard out to get accessLast edited: Feb 6, 2018

Hello,
I bought this laptop with GTX 1070 and i7 8700.
I am very glad with it but I couldn't find the way how to switch to Intel Graphics UHD 630.
I checked BIOS, tried several ways - nothing helped.
Does anyone know how to use Intel Graphics (not Nvidia)? -
I would also like to know how to do this.
I read somewhere there is no Nvidia Optimus and is the reason the battery is only 2 hours because it will always use GPU.
Normally the option to switch to Optimus is in the BIOS settings and is called "MSHybrid" or GPU only is "dGPU" at least according to a post on this page with BIOS screenshots:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...np8658-and-np8657-owners-lounge.782595/page-6
I have to wait a week to receive my laptop so I can't check this myself. Can anyone confirm that this BIOS setting exists on the P751TM?
Metabox Prime-X P750TM-G
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 OC 8GB GDDR5 VRAM with G-Sync
Intel Core i7-8700K Hexa Core (12M Cache up to 4.70 GHz)
48GB DDR4 3000MHZ (3 x 16GB) -
That's not possible
-
That is my understanding too but I would like to know where you got this information from, is there a website that shows this or have you checked this yourself in BIOS?
-
Clevo P7xx/p8xx have a mxm gpu so they can't have optimus if I remember correctly. that means igpu is impossible to use

so far I'm pretty happy with my laptop. I bought the i7-8700k delid overclocked version from HID. I'm surprised by noise though, the fans spool up with almost anything, even regular browsing, and go full speed when a game is on. Temps don't seem crazy, but maybe I just need to adjust to the fact that is pretty normal.

Power can jump pretty fast when turbo speeds go beyond 4GHz

Like Meaker said, it has nothing to do with MXM
If you have Gsync or 120Hz pannel (or both), they are incompatible with iGPU. This is because display and and display ports are directly wired to the dedicated GPU.
Becasue the Clevo (and white-box msi) are Gsync compatible, even if you got a normal non Gsync 60hz panel, they are still wired to dedicated GPU and iGPU is disabled (to save on manufacturing different main boards) -
I'm extremely bummed out right now. :c I just got my clevo p750tm1-g yesterday and got it all setup and ready to go and I did a benchmark while I was in class earlier today and this it what I got.

According to HWMonitor, the i7 8700k is only clocking upto 2.7Ghz and using 16ish watts of power. The gtx 1070 is actually performing quite nicely considering its high score but physics is appalling so I can't help but think that its soley due to the cpu not getting upto speed. The GPU maxed out at 71C. Its a tad high for my tastes but considering that this is a laptop that doesn't have the same airflow and cooling capacity as a desktop, I'm not super bothered. Nothing a vacuum fan or cooling pad can't remedy. I already contacted AVAdirect about it to see what they recommend doing but what would you guys think I should do? Its really the only issue so I don't want to return it, especially since it would mean removing my SSD and hard drive. -
I am updating the processor i5 8600k from i5 8400 and now working with a 330W power supply I have almost the same result as my P775DM-3 in 3dmark
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/12645800
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/25046002 CPU overclocked to all 4,5 GHz (-110mV) cores max temp 75c [CPU Delidded, but without LM] Grizzly Kryonaut GPU processor overclocked +200 Core +300 Memory max temp 65c Wow! Very happy with the new TM model

Ok, I think I fixed the issue myself. There was a setting in the bios that was messing with the clock speeds. I think it was called cpu vr override or something like that. I disabled it and my clock speed went all the way to the turbo clock and hovering above 4Ghz constantly.
Here's the benchmark I got after I changed the setting.
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/14877769
My cpu temps were a bit alarming, not quite sure what all I can actually do about that. I might try getting a better cooling pad with fans over the intake vents or maybe a pair of vacuum fans. Not quite sure which would work better of if using both together would work better than either solution on their own. Is the benchmark on par with what a stock P750TM1 w/ i7 8700k & GTX 1070? Either way, its about 54% more powerful than my former gaming desktop that was powered by a i5 4690k & GTX 970. All I'd really like to do now is wrangle those high temps to something a little more comfortable.
Something that's troubling me. Before I finished the benchmark above, the computer shutdown suddenly twice during the second gpu test. I'm thinking it was to prevent overheating since both times the computer shutdown, the gpu was hitting 71C. I already swapped the thermal paste with some Cooler Master Mastergel Maker Nano. I noticed a 2C drop in my idle temps so I don't think the stock thermal compound would have held up as well. After it sets in, I should see better temps. -
Try to undervolt it by -100mv and if is stable move to -110. Find the stable undervolt. It will help with temps alot . Mine running all cores at 4.5 Ghz (i5 8600k) and my max temps never go over 75 C

The 8700K is a hot part, to really reign it in for going beyond stock you might want to consider a delid and tuning the voltage. -
Won't delidding void the warranty?
-
How would I do that with the bios that came with the laptop? Its an aptio bios.
-
ThatOldGuy Notebook Virtuoso
You can use Intel XTU or Throttlestop to undervolt.
Check with who you bought the system from; but in most cases Warranty doesn't cover damage you do to CPU yourself (I.E. screw up the delid and bend a bunch of pins or something), but warranty for the system should still be good if you do not damage anything.
No, you GPU score is pretty low. You should get around 17500. You may have v-sync on in the NVidia control panel. You shouldn't be Thermal Throttling too much at 71CLast edited: Feb 8, 2018 -
Never seen 175000 in FireStrike
I want that graphics

Well, first I want to wrangle in the temps by playing with lower voltages before trying to squeeze out as much performance as I can. I'll be ordering a new cooling pad for sure and one vacuum fan to see how much it helps. If its noticable, I'll grab a second one to cover both the cpu and gpu.
-
I've also never tried delidding before so I'll hold off on something that exteme for now.

These are nice! HID EVOLUTION seems to be the place to order from. A full blown gtx1080!
There are so many nice check boxes that add money everytime you click it lol.

None of these use anything like that. System only uses the dedicated GPU, it´s routed direct to a socket GPU.
Systems that allow MSHybrid/DEDICATED are systems like the P6xxHS and P6xxHP, which use mobile CPU and a soldered GPU chip.
System that only run in MSHybrid (without option to switch) are systems like N8xxHK/HP, P950, P640, etc -

Both HIDevolution and Eurocom offer the GTX 1080.
HID has free* unlocked Prema bios, where Eurocom charge $125 for unnamed unlocked bios
BUT Eurocom offer a Sharp IGZO 4K panel, which is extremely tempting...
Otherwise they offer the similar cooling, drive, and ram options at competitive prices. -
Ive gotta keep it under $2,400 while packing a gtx1080.
Man im going to be using a mechanical hdd..i really need to keep it under $2300.
But its easier to upgrade memory, cpu, and m.2's than having to buy a mxm gpu later. -
Black light bleed checking should be a standard thing.

Ok, so ive built my system so far.

What were your results for Fire Strike and Time Spy? I don't have 3DMark 11 to test things out.Xavier2612 likes this.

Should i worry about black light bleed? eurocom doesnt offer black light bleed checking like HIDevolution, I cannot afford a PC from them how i want it though.
This is a TN panel with 120hz -

Im building my laptop very similar to yours. Any suggestions? I am skimping on a M.2 drive. And not getting a SSD either. Im being cheap, and would like to go GTX1080.
This is my first custom laptop order.
Im going to order through Eurocom. SKY X4C -
Im considering adding intel optane 32gb m.2 with my mechanical hdd. Anyone running optane?
Im glad i didnt buy a prebuilt mainstream gaming laptop. Soldered gpus "usually" and soldered cpu.
These Laptops are like a desktop. 4 ram slots, mxm 3.1 slot. Just incredible.
Waiting on my Tax refund to ORDER!
any day now.Last edited: Feb 9, 2018 -
Anyone have more information on the (2) 1920×1080P G-Sync panels available through eurocom?
The first panel is IPS 60Hz gsync 1080P Standard
The 2nd panel is TN 120Hz gsync 1080P. +$149
Can i overclock the 60hz panel? Is the light bleed terrible?
Can i overclock the 120hz panel even further?
Im curious to see pictures of these, if anyone has them. Or knows if the 60hz ips will overclock. -
Thanks. Our results are comparable. I had higher (about 5.1k) physics score for Fire Strike (16070), but I had a lower (about 1.5k) graphics score. For Time Spy (6376), I had higher cpu score (by about 1.7k). Those results were when my computer was brand new out of the box. I wonder if my results are better or worse now that I have made several tweaks and software updates.
I did notice that your GPU's memory bus clock is higher by 150 MHz, and you're running the CPU at 4.9 MHz. -
I am not sure, but I don't think those panels can be overclocked. As for the light bleed, you're better off paying extra for some warranty on it.
