Hi, guys. I have clevo 110er, with i73610 and gforce 650M 3DDR 2 GB. I want overclock GPU with nvidiainspector.
On how many values i can set the maximum of GPU Clock and GPU Memory? i tried to + 160 hhz(clock + memory) and and if the above, example, + 200 hhz, gpu fails. share experiences please, who managed to overclock this card better?
What version of prema bios you are recomend ? 3 ouv or 3 ov?
Thanks

Every chip is different, overclock in a series of small steps to find what your chip is capable of at each voltage.
-
No i have yet to find a solution to my problem. I just stopped caring and went back to using legacy for everything instead of uefi. Sure, i no longer get the cool loading circle in the middle of an awesome prema mod loading screen, and booting takes an extra 4 seconds...but there's no solution, so can't do anything.
-
Quick question, where can I buy a decent quality, "cheap" battery? I have worn mine out to the point that the wear is at 35-40%. Having a problem because I am only finding replacement batteries for $100. Has anyone found any better alternatives?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
It's not a common system so there won't be any 3rd party batteries around (which can be dangerous anyway).
-
Could you recommend a paste. Im due for a repaste for my w110er.
-
MX-4 worked fine for me.
-
OK, I'm going to be lazy...
While I have been following this thread from the beginning (bought my 110 almost two years back), I have no desire to re-read over 5000 posts to find the answer.
What is the correct order to install drivers/tools in order to get WiDi functionality? I'm swapping-out my hybrid 750G HD for a Samsung 250G SSD and I never did get this working before (too many attempts, probably in the wrong order).
Thank you for enabling my laziness!

I use IC diamond in all my personal systems. -
Hy!
Where can i buy now a new one? i found used but i need warranty :/
on mysn.de i can not find now :/
i found just here:
Eurocom Configure Model
and here:
Build Ultraportable Gaming Laptop - Clevo W110ER
but here if i go to add to cart i got this :/
"The product you are adding to the shopping cart is not currently available. Please look for another similar product on our website or contact us for help."
and an other question anyone try on laptop ubuntu? and if yes bumblebee working? so i can switch between nvidia card and intel hd?
sorry for my bad english -
The dreaded hinge-failure has hit me. Is there a full disassembly guide available (not the basic version that covers how to install the various components)? I would prefer to have a good idea as to which parts I have to purchase before rendering my laptop unusable while awaiting said parts.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
It's going to involve removing the top cover and taking out the hinge screws. I'm not aware of a step by step for that work.
-
Looking at some of the complaint articles on this, it appears the hinges are mounted to a plastic anchor as opposed to any metal in the frame of the laptop. This being the case, is the mounting-point in the bottom base panel or the palm-rest/keyboard base panel?
As bits of plastic are breaking away daily, I will have to replace some piece of the chassis... -
My kid just mashed by LCD, I am looking to replace/upgrade the screen. Will this replacement screen work?

Typically you can't upgrade the resolution due to the LVDS channels not being there.
-
So even though it's a 40 pin LDVS connector it will not work? Can the laptop's controller board be swapped for one that will support 1080p?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
I did say typically, double check your screen's connector. Are nearly all 40 pins (2 or 3 may not be and that is ok) actually connected to wires? If they are then you should be good to go.
-
Got this one off Ebay. Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 11.6" i7 3610QM with Custom Bios.
$425 shipped no RAM no OS no HDD.
Ordered Crucial 16Gig Ram DDR3 1600, Crucial MX100 256, and I have Windows 7 Home, for it. Should be fun to put together. I plan on re pasting it with IC Diamond also. Maybe do another mod or two. I would like to replace the screen eventually for IPS have to get the laptop and get it all together and running before I decide that.
I know it has the Prima bios but I dont know what version.
Here is my question....Is there any really good mods I can do?
Could I put small copper heat sinks over the CPU/GPU would that make much of a difference? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Not without a cooling pad and holes in the vents to really make a difference. Make sure the paste/pad job is top notch and you should be good to go. It should be a great little device
-
Its gonna be a mobile workstation for me. I'm gonna skip the Mini Copper heat sinks and just do a ICD re paste and see how good of temps I can squeeze with bios tweaks. Guy I bought it from said it was boxed for 8 months and lightly used before that so hopefully its in great condition. It does have the Matte screen. I can hardly wait.
Its a shame they dont make these anymore seams Clevo is concentrating on the 13.3" variety. -
Good day, guys I'm going to ask some help from you. I'm a proud owner of this little monster but right now. I'm confused and contemplating if I'm going to keep or let go of this little beast and go for an upgrade. Mine has the i5-3230m variant with everything stock. I am a gamer, currently can max out pretty everything which includes NBA 2K14 and Dota 2. But not the recently released NBA 2K15 since the next-gen graphics from the PS4 and XBONE has been ported to the PC.
I'm thinking of the following and please do give a good advice or what to do, I'm planning to upgrade the CPU from i5-3230m Ivy Bridge to either i7-2760QM rare variant but hotter processor then install Prima bios mod and overclock my GPU to close the value of GT 750m GDDR5. Will I gain significant performance?
Or should I go for the MSI GE40 Dragon Eyes which offers i7-4710QM + GT 750m GDDR5 2GB or GTX 860m GDDR5 2GB? It also has the better resolution which is 1400x900 compared to my 1366x768. Honestly, for my daily work and tasks. This little beast still is more than capable to performer and I must say I'm a proud owner of still the fastest and most powerful 11 incher laptop around there. Compared to any netbook at its size, they will eat dust with this.
But I'm already lacking horsepower when playing my favorite game and at comfort zone. Should I keep this and just get a PS4 system? The problem is, I won't be able to maximize that system either since I'll only play basketball / 2K series and UFC, fighting games there like WWE 2K series. While if I'm gonna make the upgrade. I can use the all new hardware also for video/photo editing, watching movies and other stuff.
What do you think guys? Also, are all of you using the Prima bios mod? How do you overclock your CPU and GPU? Help please...
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yes overclocking the GPU will give a similar % increase to FPS, the CPU upgrade wont impact your games too much.
Consoles don't really do maxed graphics, it's all about the compromise to hit a price point. -
Thank you for the response, so have you or did you overclock your GT 650m? to how much and how? what program did you use? The reason why I'm concerned to whether or not upgrade my i5-3230m processor coz NBA 2K series are always cpu intensive games. Are you already using Prima's modded bios? If yes, what version?
If I'm not letting go this little beast which I hate if I'll do, I would like to maximize the overclocking potential of this machine. Both cpu and gpu overclocking. By the way if this will help, I'm using 2x4GB DDR3 1600 crucial memory modules. Was thinking before of getting the corsair vengeance 1866mhz auto-OC but changed my mind. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
My experience here comes from other's benchmarks on the 650M, try checking your current CPU usage vs GPU usage.
Prema's mod will help unlock the GPU and clock it a lot more, go in little steps and watch your temperatures. The memory would not help your performance much. -
The reason why I'm thinking of getting a 1866mhz memory due to the overclocking of the processor. I'm used with the desktop processor overclocking that also affects the speed of the memory FSB. Anyway, question! how do you overclock the processor and the GPU after using/flashing Prema's modded bios? Is it through the BIOS that the clocks of the GPU gets unlocked? I'm going to use IC Diamond for my TIM paste btw
-
Hi, i've posted this elsewhere, but i thought i'd post again, maybe i get a quick answer.
Is it possible to mod nvidia driver inf file, so i can enable gamestream and shadowplay tabs in geforce experience? How would i do this? I do have the clevo w110er. If not, is there any other way to do this by faking/spoof gpu id or some registry tweak? Can one mode the driver inf to fake gt650m into like gtx660m? Thanks for any good replies. -
Well got my Clevo W110er Bare bones and its in showroom condition. It had been Boxed for a long time. Put it together and it runs perfectly.
Aida 64 Says my Bios is 1.00.4 PM v1.5 UOV Edition. I read here you should be using the V3 Prima bios for the IPS Screen replacement. Or would V1.5 work fine? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I would like to order the LP116WH4(SL)(N2) screen but Ebay is the only source as Laptop Screens in out at the moment. Is there a way to check the factory version stickers on some of the Hong Kong or China sourced Panels on ebay to make sure its a factory panel. I bought the extension LVDS cable from laptop screens.
Here is a few screens.

Ordered this screen. Looked like the best one. The Stickers matched every picture of screens others had used.

I'm going to use some Velcro dots to attach it. That is if I can get it working when I initially hook it up.
Looked up the 1.5 OVA bios says its the Latest Win7 base with Intel GPU vBIOS updated to v2143. Which Prema says you might need the updated GPU vBIOS.
[HARDWARE MOD] IPS panel for W110ER - Page 4
It all looks good hopefully I dont brick my screens like johnnyringo. I'll be sure to unplug it and remove my battery and avoid any soldering. -
Just a heads up to anybody looking to upgrade their cpu for better gaming performance.
my w110er came with the i5-3210m, I found a really good deal for the really fast 3.5ghz dual core and quad core processors
I kid you not when I say you will not see any performance gains unless the game can handle utilizing 4 cores.
After trying 5 difference processors all supposed to be better then the 3210m I realised it was all a waste of time. The 3210m was my favourite processor for sure because it is much cheaper then all the others, uses way less power then the quad cores and creates very little heat in comparison...
So the best performance is using the 3210m with the prema UOV bios and overclocking the gpu using nvidia inspector, i got mine to 345 GPU and 250 Memory overclock without any issues and temps for cpu never go above 80C and gpu never goes above 75C
my 2 cents -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
If you lower the tdp/voltages on the quads they will run about as cool but obviously slower than their stock.
Quads do make a difference just usually not as much as people think. -
Is it normal for the fan to turn off and kick on when it needs cooling? The Fan is off and turns on periodically to cool it when the laptop is not doing anything.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yes that's the ec keeping the temperature within a set range.
-
Ok cool seams to hover around 60ish. I pulled off the sticker off the CPU and it cools much better. With the laptop on the slim Laptop Cooler can get under 40 easy.
-
Did anyone successfully install the SLN2 panel without the prema mod or without the v3 prema mod?
-
hey guys,
I'm in Canada.
I was wondering where I can pick up a top case for the clevo w110er?
My hinges broke and have broken a piece of the top case/cover at the corner where the power button is.
Now I can't close my lid or open without worrying it falling apart.
Thanks in advance. -
I saw this earlier looking round.

Hi, I am looking to replace the LVDS cable in my W110ER and i think i need a 40 pin to 30 pin 1ch cable but i'm having a hard time figuring out which one would work.
If anyone has a link to one in EU i really appreciate it. -

I bought two LP116WH4 SLN1 and both are $@K$@K$ed up, this was last year.
Till today I am still on stock screen, wasted $140 for no reason.Last edited: Dec 2, 2014 -
Hello!
Quick question: if I want to connect two HDMI screens to the W110er, what would you recommend best:
1) Buy a dual-HDMI adapter to use both screens with it?
2) Buy a VGA to HDMI adapter for one screen, while using the other one on the normal HDMI port?
Thanks! -
Did you test the panels with and without LDVS extension cables?
How were they defective?
What Bios do you have?
Ya the one I ordered from china is going to be here soon. I updated the the V3 Prema bios so it shouldn't have any firmware issues. We will see if it works. The seller has really good ebay feedback so I could return it if it doesn't work. I will fully test it before I clip any tabs. LaptopScreen is still out of the panel and they are unfortunately the most reliable source for good panels.
Got my panel from here.

Hope it works. -
I bought mine from laptopscreen. It was cracked completely but they were able to refund the money to me.
I bought my second one from my source in China and it was black and white, with some color.
I used a LDVS extension cable too and I double check to make sure it worked by plugging in my original screen first, with the latest version 3 bios.
I was trying the LP116WH4-SLN1.Last edited: Dec 2, 2014 -
Ahh Sorry mate. I hope the one I ordered from china is good. I will post and let you know if you want to order from the same source. It should be here in a few days.
-
So is anyone running Prema latest BIOS?
I still have my little powerhouse and would love to hear any feedback before trying it out.
Run cooler?Faster for gaming? Would be great to see some input before donating my hard earned money for all of Prema's great work
I would have loved to see them continue this model with 9xxM GPU's. -
Well that didn't work out like I planned. Got the LDVS Cable Got the Screen. Got everything put together Was very careful. LDVS Cable Attached new screen attached. I was grounded everything was in place. Hit the power button and waited a couple seconds starts powering up. Nothing then there was a crinkling and smoke from behind the LCD. Turned it off immediately. The LDVS Cable almost immediately burned up. I ordered the cable from Laptop Screens.
Tried the old screen doesn't work. No more sound booting into windows external HDMI hookup doesn't work. Power comes on HDD shows activity. Pulled the battery for 30 seconds. Same thing.
I would guess its a crap cable and its burned out something inside the laptop like the laptops LDVS cable. Tried it on battery, on power, on just power. Still boots HDD shows activity but no original display and no external display.
Disappointing looks completely bricked. I am quite sure it not only burned up the LDVS cable a connection in the laptop also but there is now way to tell. Ooh well at least I tried. Looks like I will be parting this out. Or selling it as bare bones bricked if someone wants parts out of it.
The body of the W110er is in great condition. Anyone need some parts?
Looking at the NP 7338 now.
Update:
VGA Cable is working attempting some bios resets and windows startup repair. I doubt anything will fix the screen not working though. Short of maybe replacing the Laptops LDVS cable.
Update: Making progress I can hook up the original screen and I can see the screen but the back light is not working. I can see everything on the screen but no back light to light it up.
Ill try another factory screen from Ebay. Not a IPS screen but a factory matte screen. Maybe the back light got messed up in handling it. But the LDVS cable is sending signal just the back light isn't lighting up.Last edited: Dec 4, 2014 -
I had a similar thing on an EM. Had to replace the 7408 Quad 2-input AND Gate that was controlling the INV-BLON signal.
It's a 14 PIN tssop...if you have a heat-gun it's a pretty straight forward repair:
http://www.icchip.info/datasheet/74LVC08APW.pdf
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-pcs-74LVC...714?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7122b35a
Just take a multimeter and test PIN 23 of the LVDS connector for the 3.3v signal against ground:
I also still have a spare W110ER stock screen, PM me if you need one.Last edited: Dec 4, 2014hydra likes this. -
I ordered a spare screen. We will see if its the problem with the screen or the board. If its the board I would have to have someone fix it. Thats beyond my technical ability.
I was so close right up to the last upgrade I wanted to do. It was a disappointing day to say the least. Hopefully the problem is in the screen and the new one works should be here on Tuesday. The sln2 screen is going back didn't even work when directly hooked up. Tried directly hooking it up after the ldvs cable fried up.
Even if I get it working I dont beleave I will keep it the tn screen has just terrible viewing angles even when viewing it perfectly in front.Last edited: Dec 4, 2014
