    You could try off the m.2 but really a desktop might make more sense at that point.

    If sombody of you still looking for a good 120hz repacement screen for this notebook, i recendly swapped my B156HTN05.2 panel (brightness stuck at 100%)
    with an N156HHE-GA1 panel and can confirm brightness contoll is working again and imo the new panel has better (natural) colors and is less grainy.

    I’m pretty sure this laptop supports 6th and 7th gen CPUs only.

    I’ve read that some have modded theirs to accommodated 8th gen.

    Perhaps I misunderstood?

    In china they have updated/selling it with G5400/I5 9400/I3 8100,so It should be doable to even higher & go for 9900.A laptop with 9900 below 1000$ is a an affordable beast for all CPU heavy-tasks & as it tamed 6700K 95W well with temps around 65-80'C and - review link in the first page from Facebook-,it should be easy for this chassis to handle 9900 power+thermal as well.

    why need to buy 9900 when you can buy 9900k and then undervolt it

    and yes the W650K-series can modded in other to support 8th gen and 8th gen refresh

    I have XH57 and changed CPU G4560 to i3-8100 after your BIOS were installed.
    M.2 SSD is installed WINDOW 10 but i still can not find SATA and LAN(RJ45) device and also can not
    installed. Please help me

    ok good news :
    After i installed a i3-8100 inside w650kk1,the laptop start acting strange(black screen first reboot,window repair in 2nd reboot) ,after like 2 hours,it starting calm down but still weird (This time all application lost the texture in search tab ) .

    I managed to benchmark it on userbenchmark:

    Funny how that w650kk1 can also have usb 3.1 gen 2 if you choose the factory option

    Hey everyone,
    i own one of this cheap notebook for about 2 years. I had no problem with my PC setup because i had an Full HD Monitor attached. At Christmas i got an 4k Monitor. I tried different things but i cannot get it working at 60Hz. Currently i am using xubuntu and windows 10 in dual boot. On neither of them i can reach the 60Hz. I can see, that the Monitor is driven by the CPU (G4560) which should get the Display to 60Hz. To get better performance it would be nice to switch the HDMI Output to the GTX1050Ti Graphics Card but this also not possible. My fear is now, that the HDMI Output Port of this notebook has some chip between the CPU/GPU which has no HDMI2.0 and i could not use my new display in the way i would like to.
    Does anyone know the problem and could maybe give me an helpful response.

    I've tried to contact both Clevo UK and TW, apparently they don't have spare parts for this model Q_Q

    I've bought this laptop one year ago on ebay, the socket was basically destroyed, paypal didn't want to refund me so I've been basically scammed...

    Now I'm trying to bring it back to life
