Because he probably re-pasted the cpu himself and made sure it was done right. And the difference in GPUs is nothing to worry about. They often are slightly different. Those are essentially idle temps. The bench he ran is cpu only

Anyone getting throttling on their x7200's???

Upon stressing cpu with linx or prime95 it will throttle cpu multiplier to 12x133.

And the cpu multiplier never goes over x25 when stressing cpu, even if you set it over 25 with xtu, whats the point of overclocking just to get throttling!

Just went for a walk around town with the beast (no not my wife, shes an angel), to try and find a backpack, (as who can hand carry this monster for more than 1km). Couldnt find anything, does anyone know of an awesome bag to fit this, plus gear, plus business files, dvd etc?

Hi Guys, I sure someone else has asked this question and I have just had a quick search through the thread but can't find the answer. So just how heavy is the X7200 plus PSU?

If you can't find the Orion backpack try a Targus 17". That is what I use for my Clevo and while it is not as heavy as the X7200 the dimensions are similar.

    @BabyHemi,

Thanks for the test, this is very helpful! This is a very good result, BTW.
My FirePro M7820 (5870) is in the 1400-1600 range ( here is the screenie) - about 10-20% less.
    Makes me think now....

    +1 Rep, Hemi

hemi's 480 sli got only 65c after ran 3dmark06. 30c difference between his gpus and anandtech gpus. I think anandtech got the one that have very poor pasted job on both gpu and no cooling pad.

For backpacks, the Orion (the new one on mobile edges website is even bigger than the one I have) is great but also the Mobile Edge Premium Backpack is good and a little roomier than the Orion (at least the older one that I have).

Just shut down the laptop when you are not using it and unplug it. That is the easiest way to prolong battery life.

Long story short though.....at brand new, it is 45 minutes battery life....is it really going to be used without being plugged in?

The best way to increase battery longevity is let it discharge about half way and then put it in the fridge until you think you might need it. When you think you will need it, put it in your notebook and let it charge up fully.

If you put it in the fridge while it is fully charged it will still last a lot longer than it will in your notebook but it won't last as long if stored fully charged.

^^ Wow! We can only imagine what dinosaur this X7200 will be in 15 years, lol.
BabyHemi, maybe if you dig a little bit deeper into your archives, you can probably find the first written manuscripts and shed some more light on the origin of our civilization? ;)

Anybody here from europe who heard from his notebook? Another reseller told me that it will took again 2-3 more weeks to get the notebook. I've ordered 2 months ago ... oh man.

Thinking of cancelling this offer and buying an Thinkpad W5xx Series!
