60 usd
usd-canadian today is like 1.00--------0.999892 pretty much par for the course.
when i ordered my d901c i was going to go with rjtech but our dollar was like .65 cent to the usd. so i was stuck with eurocrap. luckily.. they pricematched.. sorta.. another story.. don't want to get into.. heh.
-
after reading the stories here, now im in dilemma. should i get a desktop with the high end specs for the money used to purchase the x7200 in high end mode (980ex etc)
-
sry double post...
-
would you be bringing around your Laptop with you on the Go?
-
well since im working at overseas, the x7200 also add another point, since i do travel back home like once every 3 months.
on the go when at my home maybe, i need to move with it once a week at least. -
Yup that pretty much make up the point
get the X7200
-
hahaha o well i just hope the conversion between usd to the conversion will be better in the coming days
-
This laptop surely is quiet this week.
-
why dont u guys order from xoticpc? they have the cheapest x7200 there with sli it costs around usd 3200
-
I have mine hooked up to a 23" monitor, full size keyboard and mouse, the laptop sits there with the lid closed, tomorrow im away on business for a week, just un-hook it (takes 1.5 seconds) and away i go!
Try and do that with your desktop!
Ps.... Im lovin my setup, 23" monitor makes a huge difference, x7200 does everything so effortlessly, sweet laptop! -
Better open the lid a bit.
-
It truly is a desktop on your lap!
-
anyone beat out any of the resellers yet?
that goes for gpu or cpu computing. -
Why do you say that?
I checked my temps after 2 hours of playing Starcraft 2 (on full utra setting) last night, 1st gpu was 64c the other was 57c and the cpu was 64c.
Normal usage is 40's low 50's
Seems to stay pretty cool.
Is there something i should know? -
Speedy Gonzalez Xtreme Notebook Speeder!
No not yet for the nature of this beast i was expecting big numbers by now
-
can the x7200 use multiple external monitor, i just received my 23" monitor, 2 infact.
i know that clevo laptop come with hdmi output and dvi, can i use both of them at the same time? -
yeah, that's what i was affraid of...
-
If its gaming your wanting then two screens is a pain as the middle point is the most important part of the game, shooting driving etc, and the middle point of two screen is where they join in a V, if its business stuff there are many options to use two or three screens.

Heat through the keyboard is not an issue with laptops of this girth lol
That is for macs that are .5 inches thick -
I don't think any manufacturer is going to reccomend leaving the lid closed while you use an external monitor.
I know with my 9262 if I left the lid closed while gaming I would sometimes get the overheating warning beeps.
I use a dell 30" external and a full size external keyboard when at home. I leave my lcd all the way open as if I was using the laptop. No need to expose your LCD to extra heat by leaving the lid closed. My desk is big enough for me to leave the open laptop to the side while I use my external monitor and keyboard. -
How could you game and leave the lid closed at the same time?!...

With speakers...
-
For this laptop it may not matter but heat through keyboard is a pretty big deal on older ones.

I found the fn+f7 key that turned the monitor off, I closed the lid because the light from the LCD was annoying me.
Yes was no problem with heat through the keyboard but I will leave mine up for easy access to finger print reader and on/off button. -
Yes, full sized keyboard and backlit!scook9 said: ↑with a REAL keyboard and mouse.....Click to expand...

It has been a little quite here. It is good for us to remember that the x7200 - NP7280 has been sold to power users much, much more than to hard core gamers up till now, and they (the gamers) are the ones that usually report benches and such on the forums. In time, hopfully very soon, more will report here with some numbers...physib said: ↑This laptop surely is quiet this week.Click to expand...

Nothing more on the PSU yet. We should get an update soon from Clevo. They were to do more testing at the factory on this issue.genocidew said: ↑babyhemi, is there any 3rd party who sell higher wattage psu, say around 400w?Click to expand...

Yes the fans are there. All you would need it the upgrade kit, which contains one 480M, One heatsink for the 480M, and the SLI cable.SacredDreams said: ↑btw babyhelmi does the stock single gpu comes with 2 fans on the gpu sides too? what if i ordered a single GPU and plans to upgrade to SLi later?

The warranty covers all labor and parts however if something goes wrong in a major way like the motherboard or the LCD fails (which is very rare) then the the whole unit would need to be shipped back to California to the repair facility. If it is a hard drive, or other small user accessable part that fails then just that part would need to be shipped in and replaced. Hope this helps...

Few quick questions: 1) how much did you overclock 2) does all highest include AA/AF 3) if yes how much AA/AF?lawtq said: ↑You will have no problems running anything, my single overclocked 480m gpu can run crysis, averaging a smooth non choppy 23-29fps

All the Ram in all the x7200's is 1333mhz they are just not allowed to advertise the fact as that 950 CPU will clock it down to 1066.SacredDreams said: ↑Processor: Core i7 950

Also the SLI 480m are great they would only trip the power supply if youre pushing it to the max, none of my games have tripped mine on full max settings, Crysis, SC2, BF Bad Company 2, Shift, Dirt2, etc.... -

btw babyhemi do you happens to sell np7280 parts like the fan for second GPU?
@Sgh: thats great, i will upgrade my CPU when im in need to process higher volume of videos and etc. -
you can't use one of the video cards to do any video processing yet?
-
Larry@LPC-Digital Company Representative
Sorry about that. The upgrade kits that we supply to customers does contain the fan if needed....SacredDreams said: ↑Thanks! Babyhemi and Sgh77,
