oh, dont get me wrong..we ARE waiting on you to get it. since no one else has seemed to beat out our beloved resellers machines yet...lol. and since the psu cuts out at about 360 watts or so...is not a whole lot of head room, but when you get yours...at least run a few single gpu test for full speed..

also..sager/clevo dont work like dell...they may frown if you "burn" a 950 dollar card up!.lol dont think they will be letting you test/burn 4k in cards....now....i could be wrong though...lol

:) no worries mate. I will post single GPU tests too. I will have lots of detailed threads coming up soon.

I didn't claim warranty on those cards on my dell. I paid cash for all replacements.. i had like 6 or 7 in the end.. after buying the first 2 cards new.. i started to look for fried ones.. then did a reflow with mah trusty weller portasol. then tested on those..

I don't doubt the psu ceiling. not for a minute.. since the TDP is high when you add it all together.. I have dealt with hitting beyond PS specs though.. on my m1710.. when it was all said and done the 7950 gtx i was running was beating all other mobiles... until the next gen came out. but It cost me a pretty penny.. and 3 psu. it topped out needing a 150w psu. and I had to back off because the 3rd psu I blew was a 150w custom.

    can't wait for my beast.

3 of your pins are bent huh....it didnt happen when you tried taking the cpu out of the socket, did it..since that happen to allot of people before.

and take a picture of the socket, because those pins can be fixed if they aren't bent to bad.

I bought the Notebook from MySn it was a showcase Modell. I recieved it for about a month without CPU, RAM, HDD so I have to put the compounds in by my selfe.

When I opend the case I saw that 3 Pins on the CPU- Socket where crooked. But when I put in my CPU it still works.

I called my reseller and told it to him. He said he knew about that and he want's to wait untill the other models from clevo come to check if its normal.

So if my reseller is telling me that it's "normal" I don't know if he is lying to me
so I wanted to ask some other owners.

I think mysn must send me a new model, also I heard about a update at the cooling system and I think I need this too!

Sry my cam isn't that good to resolute the small pins clearly.

Do you think that this is a reason to send it back, because who knews when the pins get broken or something else happen ?!?

if that is the case...it's best to send it back.
warranty usually does not cover bent pins or they charge you to either replace the socket or attempt to fix the bent pins. with no guarantee that it will work correctly afterwards.

It absolutely is not normal! It is also unacceptable in my book. I think they should gladly exchange or replace it for you if this is the case...

    side note:

if it's open box...not sure why they didn't state that before you bought the machine.

My reseller told me that he tested the system for it's stability with other kollegs as witness, but what is if the book gets broken in about 1 or 2 years?

I it acceptable that the reseller say he has done a test ??

    you kind of misunderstanding this...
1: nothing wrong with them testing it and it testing fine. - not the problem
2: if they told you before hand about the bent pins and you still bought it - still not a problem
3:if they replace it when new ones come in - not a problem
4:waiting to see if the new machines come factory certified with bent pins - A BIG PROBLEM!
5: a year later you try to collect on your warranty - A BIG PROBLEM. almost no one is accepting bent/broken or burnt pins as a valid warranty. that goes for fried circuits on the motherboard as well.(speculation as to who you go through) (usually up to the tech working on your machine that day)

as long as you have warranty on the parts and an agreement with the reseller that they knew (in writing) that the pins were bent before hand.. and if something happens and you have to send it back... they will take it. then that's ok.. this sounds strange..

why didn't you get a new notebook? did you get a deal on it? as is...? perhaps?

hummm...considering it's illegal to sell an ES anything as retail (USA that is..not sure about your country since allot of ES chips come out of there..lol)

and that gtx480m you say SAY's ES on it...pretty much violates that law. (USA. not sure about your country)

but can i ask you this....are you fishing for a solution using us here...for a purchasing mistake made because of the "you can't beat this price...it's so good i had to get it" deal?
and now that things might not be going well..looking to get it exchanged?

wow, that's right. it is illegal to sell an ES. it's in the TOS with the person whom sent it to them. It's the same here in canada.. and common sense.. you would think it would be the same in any Westernish Nation...

Here are my somewhat uneducated opinions about this. If the CPU works when it is plugged into the socket, it will continue to work at least until it gets unplugged and why unplug it again unless upgrading, in which case it doesn't matter.

I would plug it in and if it works, ask the seller for compensation for the bent pins. Half of the price of a new CPU sounds fair to me. This way you will probably come out ahead in the short and long run. If it does fail in a couple of years, you could replace it for half the price of a new one today. If not, the seller might be willing to help you out.

12 Monate Garantie. Dafür war das Notebook preiswert. Du bekommst was du zahlst.

    -----

I can not believe at all. I have asked mysn several times for cheap ES graphics cards. They never wanted to sell me a ES video card. Pictures?

I bought a X8100 exhibition device from the Games Convention. MySN said in advance that this device has signs of wear. 12 month warranty. But the laptop was cheap. You get what you pay for.

I believe these cpu come without pins, the pins are all on the motherboard, easy to bend them when they drop the cpu on them while insertion or extraction.

    + bluray (read only) Laufwerk.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I've paied 2753$ for a barebone with this konfiguration:
    + GTX 480m (engeneering sample)
+ WLAN 6300N (with only 72Mbit transferrate instead of 450, and yes my hotspot supports more than 72Mbit!)
    + Bluray Read only drive

In the agreement is written that the notebook shows light usage marks, but I think that the problem which where shown up are not only simply marks of "light usage". The other scratches and the little bit destroyed securelock don't matter to me. This is something what I understand for "light usage marks"

I've made a date with my advocate at 28. of oktober, then we will see what mysn must have to do and what not

Has any 7200 owner tried tampering with the XMP profiles in their memory (namely Kingston hyperX modules)? I have some modules rated at 1866 mhz laying here, which won't work with my M17x (even though I edited the JEDEC/boot-up timings), but should work with the x7200 with its XTU compatibility...

Seriously thinking about this memory but you could only have 6gigs max memory, not enough for me, but it should be sweet for OC'ing, will have to stick with my 12gigs corsair 1333mhz.

I pm'd another x7200 member on here, he has the 1600mhz kingstons and they work on the lappy, but he has trouble oc'ing via xtu apparently.

I'm lucky as my 980x can be oc'ed to 4ghz nicely via multiplier only via xtu, stable, LOVE this flipping lappy!

You just get the plug (power cord) off a desktop for your region as the PSU has the same end as your desktop. (eg.. The back of a desktop where you plug a power cord into it is the same as the back of the PSU)
