i've also got two "lazy" pixles, not sure what to call them but i gotta tap the screen to get em going. i hope they get better and not worse. Also, anybody's touch buttons not working? My volume + and BT dont work at all, and my wifi button is really difficult to recognize my touch.

Anyone of you had opt for the TV tuner? I'm still considering as I have a tv Plug near my power sockets. Just need some of the user reviews about them.

I have not had a problem with my 7200 and I have auto updates enabled.

i wish i could just get internet on mine, no personal internet here

460M SLI vs 480M SLI what kind of performance difference should I expect? I try doing search but the only system that seems to be using 460M SLI is the X7200 so if someone can point me to the right direction, I would really appreciate that.

Only I7-950 and GTX 460M SLI!! But very good to compare with a 980x and 480M SLI Setup! And I can compare direct with my X8100 (940XM/GTX 285M SLI)! -

Hi,
we offered „Upper1“ a normal x7200 (no ES / QS - ES have serialnumbers like x7200000c > march 2010!).
This notebook has no differences to the massproduction. It arrived 4 weeks earlier than the mp and Clevo has labeled these ones with specific codes.
The card isn’t a cheap engineering card.
The socket has been tested and it works without any problems. In case there are any problems we are happy to deal with it.
We will look into the problem with the WLAN.
The warranty for the main board cannot be given due to the over clocking by the customer to 3,3 GHz.
Furthermore, there were a price-reduction for little signs of use and for a test by the press.

ooooh...busted!
lol
i would sure hate to own a clevo now...if that's the case. -
Why would you void someone's warranty for overclocking the X7200? Isn't that one of the features Clevo advertises? This is part of the reason I'm very reluctant to ever buy another Clevo/Sager in the future. The warranty and return policies are sketchy. When I bought a W860 from XoticPC last year, it arrived defective (Justin did a good job in ordering replacement fans right away but the problem ran deeper than that) so I opted to return the faulty system. Well I lost out on initial shipping costs and Sager required that I insure the package and use fedex/ups to return it. I ended up incurring close to $200 in losses for a system that was defective to start with. Their policy does state that if you return a system you will lose initial shipping fees but I wasn't aware of the insurance portion of returning it. Nonetheless, I think a defective system should be excluded from such policies and the responsibility should fall on the reseller/ODM and not the customer. In several years of dealing with Dell, I have never paid for shipping expenses for a defective system or otherwise.

Yes, overclocking is part of the whole advertising and one of the main points of this lappy, overclocking should not void your warranty at all!!!
-
only time it should come in question is if you
a: hard mod the board for more voltage
b: the circuits are clearly shown as to be tampered with.
c: you have burn spots all over the board
d: you altered the cpu to use more voltage
e: you have soldering skills of a 5th grader - lol j/k -
no doubt... when i first broke into ocing the d90x series.. bios hacking and processors.. i had vendors asking me to write howto's for them to post on their website to gain more customers as a selling point.

Overcloking aside the system, as bought, should not trip the power source, no matter how intesive of a software it runs. slowing down, yes, thats normal, but shuting down, that's not.
ANd myself, i dont plan on overclocking whatever laptop i will end up buying, but even so, im not sure even a 460m sli and a 950 cpu will fit inside the 300w power brick, allthouhgh i might be wrong.
Speaking of wich, could i use the 300w power brick on the x8100 ?(wich comes with a 220w power brick)(45or55w cpu, + 150w GPUs leaves little room for everythingelse) -
how is the plug for the x8100? because i believe the x7200 is using the 4 point plug like the older d900 series?
-
I have no ideea what so ever, never seen live any of these laptops. So that's why im askin'

If that's the type of treatment you get after sales support from Clevo you can keep it.Poor show. -
