follow none of them. it will be far different once you get yours...![]()

nice. i just used the ones that came with the clevo disk. the only thing i tried was crysis.. but haven't been able to do much more.. cuz i have no wifi card installed as of yet.
i know people are waiting for results. i assure you that i am not going to hold back.. i just need time.
-
30fps is playable but really its only a benchmark test as Anything thing below 40fps is a bit sureal and to slow to respond, for a nice fast flowing game you need about 40fps. Play on high setting or change res to 1280x720 or something. You wont even notice the difference! -
Is this sli???
Coz I'm at 20fps stock and 25fps when I OC, on my single 480m and cpu, both for warhead and crysis -
Well I think the uncore is holding me back in my overclocking adventures. I maxed the voltageon the uncore, and am alot more stable. Man I wish I could set the divider!
-
Most likely SLi's Result
-
the avg fps for single when i did it was like 12-13 with single on very high crysis. no x aa
with sli it's 26fps. the normal fps reader on the right reads 30 but still avg=26 -
I saw your reply in the power supply issue thread regarding your crysis fps. What the heck is going on, why am I getting higher fps?
Could it be due to me recording the fps on the actual game instead of the benchmark? I will have to try the benchmark, but playing the game itself is smooth while running at 25fps, I wonder if I'll ever need sli... who am I kidding, of course I will!
And lipufski, yes agreed, we desperately need an option to control mem divider! If you dont have an extreme cpu you are slightly screwed regarding OCíng -
On high you will get 60+ average but on very high it will half that, my target is 40fps, you can play around between high and very high in setting to obtain it.
-
it's unplayable on very high! lol.. the benchmark is one thing.. but playing.. no way. atleast stock.. it says 30fps but avg is 26.. and it dips..
yes high settings with no aa avg 40fps. I am conservative with what I am saying.
it is what it is..
at least on my box. bone stock. -
I only know figures for Sli... who want to play crysis on 25-30fps anyway, its kind of being desperate to be able to run on full ultra settings, I dont think the x7200 is totally up to that yet. Maybe with the 3.6ghz 995x cpu OC'ed (coming out soon).
I cant really tell the difference on my 23" Full HD Monitor, between Very high and mostly very high -
set your settings to all very high. no aa
then run gpu bench.
look at the left hand side. avg fps. that is your fps... not the number you see with fraps.. because it's up and down.. dipping. -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
the crysis benchmark does report lower fps than the game
on my desktop it gave me 44fps in the bench and I played the entire game through and never went below 60 (except the very last sequence on the deck of the carrier - which is insane on the graphics) -
how many fps you get when using high settings on 1920 x 1080 res?
-
i could barely get through the first real scene disabling the gps.
it dipped pretty low.. however i would say that high settings it is playable it dips to 30.. goes up to 50.. but dips dips dips.
i still have to try diff drivers and we will see what we can acheive with OC GPU.
i am just being non-biased.
I am only running 2gb of ram.. but that should be plenty and ram won't increase the fps.. 2gb is plenty..
the processor is only a 930.. but crysis isn't multi threaded so that's moot. and past a certain amount of clock speed.. you won't get any more... past say a e8400.. that should be plenty as well..
so it comes down to gpu.. as i can see when you turn off sli. and then turn it back on.
i want different drivers to see what diff they make. -
I cant seem to get crysis benchmark tool to work any ideas?
I ran the program for 20mins
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
-
Trying to do that for you but benchmarking software is set wrong somewhere and doesn't give me any results....
Do I actually have to play the game, at the moment Im just letting it start, they talk about mission, he jumps out of the airplane, the parachute doesn't work and he drowns, I let this loops three times. -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
Crysis is actually one of the few games that DOES use a quad core.....and you really need at least 4 GB of ram for a solid gaming system - especially crysis which has a memory leak -
umm.. they said that crysis was going to use quad core. but then it didn't support it. crysis 2 will most likely support quad core.
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2010/07/05/how-many-cpu-cores-do-games-need/2
when it first was going to come out everyone thought it was multi-threaded. but afterwords the devs admited it was only dual threaded.
your right about the ram. i got 8 more gigs in the mail.
-
yeah, please play the game for me. i want real fps application, not benchmarking. i just want to know the average for high on max res
-
Good question ive been wanting to protect my battery as well from just sitting plugged in and wasting away... someone is sure to know the answer
-
Not sure, when I installed all my games (one after the other) many of them did automatic updates, if Crysis did then yes most probably but if it didn't then no, I haven't gone and looked for patches.
Maybe thats why the Crysis benchmarking 1.05 software isn't working on mine.
The Crysis build is...... 21:03:53, 24th Oct 2007 -
try downloading the crysis patch.it states it has better support for sli or crossfire.after dl,try to play it again.
-
Maybe you can put tape over the electrical connector on the batter or the computer.
-
make sure to have a ups other than your battery ups (lol) plugged in...incase of power outage.
-
Just did it and get 15 average fps, all very high settings no aa, dx10, this is stock results. 19fps average when I OC the system.
The benchmark tool is terrible, slow fps and jerky, while the actual game itself is a much smoother 20fps at stock, and when I OC 25fps -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
I agree, the real game is smoother. Lawtq, are those numbers single or dual card? (would be easier if you just put your specs in your sig)
It is also worth comparing the results from stock install to patch 1.1 and 1.2 (1.21 can be ignored as it just changes some multiplayer stuff) -
My bad, i went to download it, looked in my download folder an it was already there, so must be already using 1.2
-
cool.no wonder why your fps is higher(in high settings) than dexgo because dexgo has not installed the patch yet. once he does however, he may have the same fps as you do.
btw,my x7200 will ship to my place on 11/10/2010 from xoticpc. YESSS!!!!
im going to mix setttingsall max res with very high except shaders, shadows and special effects(im going to turn them on high. does not make any differenec from very high to high with those 3 features).ill replay the game again and again and ill check my average fps. -
Awesome for your machine arriving soon, let us know whats best with Crysis and I will mimic them, I'm too busy playing Star Craft 2 when I get a chance to game!
-
i should also try some custom configs too.i heard they look and play better than stock settings on crysis
-
No backlit, but you can buy an external G15 or something, BabyHemi (Larry from lpc-digital.com) looked after me, they should be all much of a muchness.
-
agreed me too, Babyhemi looked after my NP7280 too
try sending him an PM for details~
on top of that he never fails to reply Email -
im loving it every second that passes by, been playing around with audio but cant seems to fel the 5.1 speaker system.. i had set it to 5.1 but it still felt like stereo..
am i tuning it wrong?
will try some bences tomorrow please do share the bences links with me

A good place to get bench links is the below...

So there is an empty pci-e mini-full slot next to the wireless card, is there anything usefull one can put in there? Like Intel Turbo Memory?
-
was planning to blend in with my blue sager logo
hah, will check it out once after i get some sleep
Thanks again! -
you wouldn't need those since you already have 12GB loaded
-
or the g73jh bench mark thread as well...batboy is pretty strict in the m17x thread...off topic and and all...
http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...asus-g73-benchmark-thread-81.html#post6862671 -
amazing u got ur unit. great job
if u really wanted to bench the laptop,i suggest just playing the game and see how it stands out.i suggest playng crysis or starcraft 2 or gta4 -
but i don't have those games installed..
-
oic,wat games do you play anyway? if have steam ,u can dl them
-
so since im getting my unit soon, what is the best drivers to download and use(dual 480mgtx sli)?
-
3DMark Vantage Score
CPU Score
42159
Graphics Score
15050
did you guys buy the 3d mark software? it seems that i cant change any settings and im not sure if they enable my SLi during the test?
-
will check it out.
-
ruckus kinda getting mad for me begin over at Asus thread.. lol..
still i think something wrong with my scores getting so low..
little help here?
i didn't update any drivers yet. -
he has no say so...not sure who he thinks he is. but post away.
what is the highest stock 480 sli setup for vantage? -
Similar to mine, I haven't changed a thing (drivers etc) since it turned up, mine are about 18129, the Hybrid drive got faster the third time I did the test, so mine started at 17736, 17895 then my last test was 18129
-
Hows that Slappa Mask with your x7200?
-
when i looked for bencemarks results it returned no results for gtx480m, weird.
btw guys do you think i should update the GPU's driver or stay stock driver currently?
NO matter what that ruckus guy said i loved my system
