    MySn.De offers 470m SLI in the x7200.

Anyone gettin those ? It seems its replacing the 480m sli. Im not sorry i didnt get the 470m sli instead on the 460m sli, as 470m sli is to much for my budget now. And i dont think performance over the 460m sli is worth the extra 518 euros.

Mostly discolouration but after you have mentioned it, I am also seeing slight plastic deformities which to me is constant to heat stress (not enough to melt the plastic).

Im going to order for my x7200 2hdd. The biggest capacity 7200 rpm drive from WD, that being a 500gb hdd, and the biggest capacity 2.5" hdd from wd, that being the 1TB disk.

The 1TB disc from WD is 12.5mm in height.
Will that fit inside the x7200 ?
How anyone here fitted such a hdd inside the x7200 ?

Im asking since origin pc offers 1tb hdd. And since they offer such hdd, im bettin it fits.
But the x7200 is deemed as having 9.5mm hdd slots.

So wich one is it ?
Will it fit it or not ?

i believe all the hard drive bays are 9.5mm however the optical disc drive is 12.5mm and i know you can get a hard drive caddy for that bay. so basiclly only the dvd rom bay will fit a 12.5mm drive

errr plastic disfiguration, I remember seeing someones voodoo laptop back when they were still in there own, the grill had melted on the back of it. That surly isnt something most people want to see on a laptop.

cool about the AC adapter bridge, most intriguing. Id give making an 600 watt single AC adapter my self cept I have no extra dough to fork out for such endeavours.

The components all together cost me $13.49 US so its not like it was a large investment.
You just need some skill in soldering.

I expect them to be available there, too. These HDDs have been available here in Germany for at least 2 weeks now :p BTW, Seagate is not the only one that offers such HDDs. Hitachi now has some, too -> http://www.hitachigst.com/internal-drives/mobile/travelstar/travelstar-7k750 , so chose wisely :p

Noone has mentioned the biggest nightmare about the NP7280 power cord: It is too short!!
Does anyone know where I can get a longer version??

I have to put that brick, or should I say BLOCK, on the table next to the laptop (where there is little room), because it doesn't reach to the floor!
I can't tell you how many times it dropped.

A showstopper if I knew when I was buying this thing.

    Thanks!

hello guys i really need some help and advice ...
i want 2 order the sager np7280 laptop n here are my configuration:
    the i7-950
    dual gtx 460m sli
    6gb ram
    80ssd and 2x500gb harddrives
    etc ...
i went accross three sites : sagernotebook.com custom gaming laptops - Welcome to Sager Notebooks ( $2,819 )
    xoticpc.com]Gaming Laptops - XOTIC PC - Gaming Notebooks ( $2,704 )
    pctorque.comSager, sager notebooks, sager laptops ( $2,658 )

now the main issue is that i live in africa and shipping costs are verrry exp.
    sagernotebook : $612 shipping UPS
    xoticpc.com : $580 shipping UPS
    pctorque : $512 shipping UPS

thats way 2 expensive but then i was talkin 2 this guy on PCTORQUE
and he gave ma an additional 150$ discount on the shipping making it around
$362 which seem reasonable and good for me ...

ARE PCPORQUE A RELAIBLE SOURCE ?? HAVE ANYONE OF U BOUGHT FROM THEM ?
CAN I TRUST THEM AND WHY ARE THEY MUCH CHEAPER THAN ALL

pleassse help me decide ...thanks guys

263.06 has been running well for me. On Par with stock if not even a tad bit better.

I been playing with OC though but last stock run with these was right at 19k vantage.

To my knowledge there are no female to male cables available for the mini-DIN Power connectors also commonly known as "DC 4P Power Plug Snap And Lock" which is what the X7200 uses.

You can buy the connectors, and attach them to a cable yourself.
The model number for the head types you will need is: 1x KPPX-4P(Male) & 1x KPJX-CM-4S(Female)
    Here is a site: Link
    It is made by Kycon.

Another option would be to look at your local electrical supply store and ask if they can connect the cable for you.

For me the 260.99 have been the most stable driver that I have tried however I have not noticed any particular increase nor decrease in my benchmarks.

am also ordering this beast from powernotebooks.com 2morrow with the gtx 460m sli as it seems the best
option right now and its for a good value .. the 480m sli is far more expensive
and for its performance i dnt think its worth that price value ,
also the 480m sli is havin power issues as it cosumes a lot
of power that causes the power supply 2 shut off at heavy loads ..
i had the same config as avadirect review but i decided to go for one
80gs ssd and 2x500gb harddrives as ill only use the ssd for windows and softwares ... i dnt think an ssd actually speeds up gaming maybe just loadin time ahh i can wait a couple of seconds more lol
the only thing that bothered me that ill have 2 pay additional 600$ just for shipping as i work currently in africa :S ...
please if anyone had already received this beast with the gtx460m sli do some tests and post us some results ...

The JW is 120hz? I hear the x7200 and the g73 do share the same screen or similar anyways. If they do make a 120hz screen I would so get one and try it out.

Edit: Oh ok, a new JW version is comming out, thats why its only the JW (460M) instead of the JH (5870).

Just a quick page I found on the new 3d ready ASUS g73JW from powernotebooks.com

    http://www.powernotebooks.com/ASUS-G73JW-3DE-Republic-of-Gamers-Laptops-sys-3640.html
Also, I laughed at that picture of the G73 flying... haha...

I only want it for the refresh rate for BD movies really, I can't see 3d anyways. Besides, 3d just means i'd have to cut my FPS in half, i'd rather have good graphics at a good frame rate then poor graphics at a good frame rate in 3d, but I'll never get to enjoy 3d games/movies anyways.

Like i said somewhere here before. I do not yet realized what i have ordered !

    Later Edit:
Its interesting to see how the modding of the inf works.
Fortunatly they said that nvidia will release in early december new driver versions, that will make this modding of the 260.99 unnecesary.
Just in time for my laptop i might add.

Now im back to reading the review and see what i bought me...

After reading the whole review, i must say, that this config is by far, the most bang for the money.
1)Intel shlashed price in half of the core i7 950 cpu, wich is stronger and cheaper than 940xm
2)The price per performance, and taking in consideration the power consumption of the 460m is the best there is now.
3)I dont know about you, but to me nvidia drivers inspire more trust.
4)The ram is cheap, so i got me 12gb. Cheaper, more faster stronger.

All of this running of a ssd. Holy .

Not to mention bonuses like, blueray reader, tv tunner, triple antena wifi N (thats the intel ultimate 6300), multichanell sound support (i am reffering here to the ability of the laptop to use, for instance 5.1 or 7.1 speakers - most laptops have 2 audio jacks - like the asus rog laptops). This is where the psyko audio headset will shine. To bad i cant get one from europe.
All this for the sum of 2580 euros including shipping. (samsung 470 series 128gb ssd included)

Now please tell me this is not value so i can go shoot my self !

The only "con" i can find is that i dont have it yet :))

You can bet yo black @ss (if that applies :) ) ill do some serious testin once i get the machine. And i will also post opinions on whatever. I am esspecialy curious as to see how the tv tunner blends itself into the machine. Im suppose to receive remote as well wich is suppose to work with the built in infrared senzor.

But for now, all i can do is wait. Im suppose to get it in week 49, and that can be as late as 11 december, allthought i think it will be as late as 9 december wich is friday.

Until then... all i can do is drool.
Also make sure you check the tom's hardware review of the unit.

They have only good things to say about it. Esspecialy about the best config eva', wich is 950 cpu with 460m sli, price wise.

I have 480M SLI. The vent stays closed. The word from Clevo engineering is that they vent stays closed for airflow reasons.

I believe we have verification that opening the vent actually causes temps to rise.

There are no problems with screen brightness. I use my 7200 in a brightly lit office with no problems. I have not taken it outside and do not plan to use it outside. The screen is bright and the colors crisp.

I think the screen brightness is similar to arguing over a Ferrari vs a Lamborghini. "Oh, the Lambo goes from 0-60 .01 seconds faster so it is a superior car". Someone sees some measurements on a website somewhere and determines that there has to be a problem because laptop X has higher measurements in an area that is very subjective to each user.

I confirmed with xoticpc when I ordered mine that I would only have one CPU fan since I did not order the extreme CPU. I think this is why one of them is blanked off in some photos.

The port is now blocked off cause its an intake and pulls air from the back instead of through the once opened port.

You will not need to tinker with anything, and with the blocked vent taken off the system is cooler, not hotter, my cousin and I tried this on his system! I cant be bothered, its cool enough
