    GTX 480M Score = 19316
    GTX 470M Score = 16072

That's mean 480M better, but i have a question. Why The CPU's Score shows diferrent score ? Whereas the machines use same CPU (980X)

Just have to be persistent and willing to modify an inf from time to time. If you get into benching you will find yourself trying ALOT of drivers. I went through like 20 when I had my GTX 280m's in to find the best for each bench. They did not all want to install right away though.

@ackack47 idk how to, i just saw some forums mention about modifying but idk the step by step procedure. wait what driver do you use? do you play crysis, BC2, metro 2033 etc. because those are the games i currently play and i want to give it a shot to modded drivers which is the best in your experience, sorry im a noob in this, actually im new to this issue since this is the first time i heard a modded driver in nvidia. how do you modify .inf file?

also i saw the new bios in the sager website for np7280 and wondering if it will do any good for the laptop if i update it, my stock bios is Revision 1.0

    hi.

im about to buy this monster in a few days or weeks but can someone answer my question on my sig before i actually buy it? ive been looking and searching google and NBR for weeks now and couldnt get a straight answer.
[or just plain tired looking at the screen i guess?]

copied from another thread as reference (from ARGH):
100w per gpu, 130w for the cpu, that is already 330w and doesnt count the rest of the system. there is no overclocking potential in this system and the system cannot be stressed to the max without instability. i am not sure what clevo was thinking with the psu requirements. they need a 400w minimum psu.

does this mean that if i get the 470m SLi it'll be ok for overclocking?
    130w 980x + 75w per 470m (if i remember correctly) = 280w total - 300w PSU= 20w remaining!
i just wanted to reach 4GHz!
if able to OC the GPU, even better!

It's simple really, after you download the driver and extract it, download the already modded .inf file along with it and replace (copy/paste over it) the old one with the modded one. I've been using the 265.66 drivers, they work good but they don't let you change the screen brightness after windows has booted. It seems to crash my Black Ops and Company of Heroes when I play in full screen a lot, but that's all I've noticed. untitled.JPG Just make sure to get both.

You should be careful if you use this adapter as for all i can tell you simply soldered two wires together. You run a severe risk of the two power supplies attempting to charge one another and burning one of them out.

Pah!! and Nice!! at the same time, its a solution but 2 psu's? what a joke, one hand is clapping with itself and my other hand is face palming my face, I just cant decide whether I'm happy or not lol

This means no more psu tripping, but does this mean we will be able to unleash the 480m's real power instead of this watered down version we have? How the 480m was really meant to be?

    Anyway finally its here.

whoa, talking about pushing hardware to the limits, that's what i like in clevo/sager, they are still concerned with their customers, they don't just build and forget :D

im giving some thoughts of this i only have 1 psu, after some months my co-owners of np7280 will have feed backs giving output for this new feature.

Yes all early buyers do get this power convertor box for free if when ordering their system they ordered an additional power supply. In fact many did so, this I do know.

Of course this power convertor box is useless unless you have (2) 300w power supplies for this unit anyway... :)

As someone mentioned, would it work with 2 220s from the D900 laptops? 2 300s would be overkill

For me this is a MAJOR disappointment. They had the chance to kill 2 birds with one stone, and solve the HUGE (IMO) problem with the very short power cord, and instead it looks like it is only 2 or 3 inches long.
Give us this converter box with a 3 foot extension, or a single @600w 6 ft cord, and the system would be perfect.

...Plus, with only a 3 inch cord running out of the converter box, that means it is going to be hanging off the back of the laptop -- Causing more problems, catching on things, pulling out, etc. (I use my laptop like others on a lap bench, which fits the laptop, not the laptop plus 5 inches for the converter box).

Well I ordered my new AC Adapter over the phone. Hopefully I will get it soon and be able to do some serious testing. I don't mind running 2 of them together since they just sit on the ground anyways. If I am going anywhere I will just carry one. lol
I too use a lap desk and am a little concerned as to what kind of stress it is going to put on the connector or is it going to pull out. I suppose I'll find out soon enough. It looks like the connection is very secure unlike Dell adapters.
    This will certainly be interesting.

Here is another Update from Sager:

Sager understand that there are a few questions regarding the NP7280 Power Converter Box, we appreciate all feedbacks and questions and here are some answers.

    1. Q : can you use any other AC Adapter other than the 300Watts
A: No it should only be used with a single 300Watts or dual 300Watts, using anything lower or mix and matching will have the potential risks of over discharging one AC Adapter if the other for any reason is not working at its optimal condition.

    2. Q: we understand many has asked why not a single 450 to 500+Watt adapter.
A: please believe us and understand that Sager & Clevo wanted a single AC Adapter as much as anybody else. But please understand that this is not a desktop power supply, we do not have the luxury of having multiple rails (connectors) to provide power to each components individually. Please do understand that a desktop supply just the motherboard, CPU, and minor components is using a 24pin + 8 Pin, any other components that requires power are then receiving their own power core running on a different rail.

Even with the above conditions we have asked and pushed for a single AC Adapter design however there is just not a single manufacture out there at this time is willing to put in the effort to design this high power requirement regardless how much of the tap we were willing to pick up out of our pocket, as at this time it is just impossible to design a reasonable sized adapter both connector / railing / and thermal over 300Watts to the power manufactures.

    3. Q: Why the bulky box, why didn’t we just join the cables of 2 AC Adapter connecting them together.
A: as much as we wish it’s that simple, but by doing that we will have to throw out and ignore every safety risks associated to such design.

    4. Q: since the 480M is no longer offered why are we providing such adapter now?
A: Future cards will be coming soon which it will take advantages of this adapter.
