Definitely!
One thing I'm having 2nd thoughts about is a 4th HDD instead of the optical drive. Assuming RAID0+1 is handled by the Intel RAID, that would a nice alternative as well.

I wonder if it's possible this is same thing you have, but perhaps your hearing is just more acute. -

Do some one else then me have this electrified feeling when tuching the alu on the palm rest you know just slightly tuching it and moving the finger at the same time it feels like its vibrating i know its sounds strange but its not the fans it feels exactly the same with low speed as with high -

Enjoy it! As for the paste it is for future use for the GPU/CPU. Mostly for those that don't purchase the 2nd GPU and install it later.

Do you also have the electric feeling like me and cortomaltese ??? -
I have my suspicions already though... Still experimenting, but it seems that it might be the secondary, non-SSD drive, which produces the sound. -
I am also curious to know how many percent battery wear Hwmonitor or BatteryBar show for your new x7200, if any?
-

I know exactly what you are talking about, it is caused by lack of shielding on your RCA cables. It causes a high pitched whining sound that never goes away. The best way to solve the problem is to move the RCA cables away from the power wire for the system. Not sure if that really helps in this case though. My 7280 will be here tomorrow, hopefully I will not have either the heat or the whining problems.
-
I wonder what is the volume of your speakers like? -
I guess I have the heat issue as well, cpu idles up to 60'C, GPU idles up to 42'C - but I am not at all sure I should worry that much, since those temps seem quite safe anyway. On the other hand, that rhytmical whining sound irritates me a lot... but I think it is a single issue concerning my laptop only.

cortomaltese
mine is not constant in that way it comes and goes
as well but it seems like its dependent on power usage like if im moving from hdd to a nother specialy betwen 2 and 3
goes away during gaming but they run of my ssd
The volume is crap and is on every ones it seems became litle better after instaling drv 2.56 havent had a chanse to try the 2.57 in the Np yet here is a link to the drivers Realtek ,and you can tell me if there is eny diffrens in options ,vol or quality
Ps Download the top one then you will get the Realtek HD sound config in controlpanel -
Hope as well that there wont be eny prob with yours .
and who knows mine might be fine now after its bin back to Sager -
One necessary update, concerning the cpu / gpu idle temps:
Those seem to be greatly influenced by the temperature inside the room.
I merely opened the window - and my CPU went down to 49'C, GPU to 37'C before I could even blink.
Probably worth checking that out, guys. -
It is somewhat strange, since the speakers on my tiny Alienware M11x are roughly 3 times louder than the speakers on my behemoth x7200. How could it be? -
faulty drive if not there is some thing going on with the port .and a nother thing what i was told talking to a tech when mine froze was that you can put your c: drive where ever you want and it will still boot so you can allso try difrent combos .
Even on the Xcoticpc vid on youtube they complain about the sound level of the speakers .
I like to game so i got a G35 headset that i use mostley ,
Ps Try using Vlc That player is quit much louder then most of the others and the are some sound booster progs out there never needed one so dont know eny names if i find one i will post a link and if its a c***k vers il pm you the link -

No, my BIOS doesn't allow me too. I was able to reach one hour of bat life studying pdf's, by underclocking the cpu and locking it to the 12x multiplier; putting the illumination level to the minimum; disabling wifi, and using battery saving mode. I could easily win a few minutes more if it was possible to mod the VID by any mean...

As you can see, temps are pretty ridiculous, especially after running for this short a period. I also see my mobo temp is high (87.8c), but I'm not sure what the norm is here...?

Hi guys and gals i havent been on here for quite awhile and i have a problem. I put my 7280 to sleep to upgrade my mom's wireless card, unplugged it and put it be side me to work on her computer. however, now everytime i try to turn it back on it doesn't do anything. I noticed that anytime i try to turn my system on the indicater light showing the laptop is plugged in flashes green, then it turns back to being orange. the battery indicater just stays green and doesn't do anything other than that. I thought about taking out the CMOS battery, but i wanted to ask you guys to see what you guys think. I am running out of ideas and certainly could use some help and i thought about this form.
thanks

That could make sense then. Things like this are why I do not bother using the sleep "feature". I just use shut down or leave it on.
I recommend a power drain. That is removing the system battery and AC adapter, hold power button down for about 10 seconds, then put battery and adapter back in and power up. -
sry i was still on the previous page.
yes i have tried to bout up without the battery inside but still the same outcome. and thank you for clearing up that im talking about two completely different laptops. -
-
The same thing has happen to me to with other laptops (not mine)
where they have put the option go to sleep when screen goes down
cant understand why people just dont put that it just should turn of the screen or turn of the laptop -
