wow. Ummm... had to check my email, seems like Mar 24th, so 2 weeks ago (actly 13 days). Course you'll have to take into account I had an extra week for Phase 3, if ur not getting an overclock, or custom paint, I would expect perhaps a week to ship after it hits Phase 2.

Cool. Mine should ship anytime then as I got neither. Looks like they're catching up on orders possibly? Mine went into phase 2 on 03/29.

Sorry to ask a newbie question but I gotta ask, I'm ordering a np8130 from lpc-digital, I'm in Asia(Mongolia to be specific :D) but first it's getting delivered to san francisco... my question is how long does it usually take to arrive(to sf) after your order?

Standard Ground usually takes roughly 5-7 business days to hit CA. (PCTorque anyway)

No it will take them a long time to ship it... maybe 2 or 3 weeks. then it will take like 3 days to ship to san fran, and 2 weeks to ship to malaysia.

I guess. I think it is the best laptop for the money, so if you want to save a few hundred then it's worth the wait.

I thought ur dilivery time to Mongolia was a little high, especially with the modern global economy, so I did a quot on UPS for a shipment to UlaanBaatar, Mongolia, and it only took 4 days, so I doubt urs will take 2 weeks. Though the shipping was $250 USD. Owch! o_O

Yeah, the shipping I chose to Mongolia will cost me $50, it's a lot cheaper 1kg is $10. Money is an issue for me, so I think this is definitely worth the wait. Thanks tho... my real concern was how long lpc takes to ship... I'll probably receive my notebook by early May...

You're mixing two different people, batman.

Plus...'sanity'? You're a billionaire, masquerading as a student, putting on a batsuit at night to fight crime. I think we crossed the line between 'sanity' and 'insanity' a loooong time ago.

I need to start looking for new games. As much as I love playing my old ones on my new system, it's not the same as the excitement of going through a brand new one. :D

My next game (arkham city), portal 2, black mesa source, and mass effect 3 will all be coming out in the next several months, hopefully the 8130 will be up to the challenge...

Yeah, problem is....I suck at FPS. I really do. I tried borderlands and just couldn't get into it. Maybe because it was my first FPS and it has a bit of a steep learning curve.

All it takes is practice, I guess, but I don't have that kind of time :p

Guys you know what is sad on NP8130, Windows Vista!
Yes, I couldn't get 7 and it looks like its gonna take a while, so i got vista just to get it running and its blasphemy to use vista.

    1) I was exited to see the Blazing Fast performance and it never came. Vista took 26 mins to install and the startup times are not very impressive i mean they compare to a clean install on my dell inspiron.
    2) The drivers cd does not autorun, crashes saying the operating system is not what it wants. The drivers did install though if run individually but I dont really trust it all for now..

Now I'm afraid to install any game, since either way its gonna be a lost cause cos I'm not keeping vista any more than the week I have to wait for 7.

Also what is the deal with THX? Once I had vista installed, I could play songs even without installing any sound drivers or THX. The sound (which was pretty good btw) was same before and after THX. Any thoughts on this by anyone?
(yeah I sound like a noob and I feel like one too :( )

Hope everybody else is doing good with there PCs!

What?? Why couldn't you get W7? You shouldn't have to settle for Vista....it's a horrible excuse of an OS.

Well the computing services people in the university didn't have a copy available and I didn't order pre installed OS (saved me $90 putting 8130 into affordable range).

And no way I'm settling for vista, I just thought gawking at the bios screen would be more sad than living with vista, so got it until I get 7.

    Any thoughts on THX?

Vista and win7 have included drivers for a lot of new devices. That was a big focus for both OSs.

When you first start your laptop push f2 on the screen with the Sager logo. That brings you into the BIOS. It's a pretty simple BIOS without a ton of options so just go through the menus using the arrows buttons and find the option for Bluetooth. I can't remember exactly where it is but again, there aren't a ton of options.

Once you have changed the Bluetooth setting to enabled press whatever button it says to save and restart.

thx is a joke. It never changed the sound, and when I installed updated sound drivers it stopped working all together.

But I think the actual tech that George Lucas developed is pretty cool, the software has nothing to do with that though.

The power adapter is rated for 19V 6.32A 120W output. Any laptop power supply within this spec is technically compatible. I expect the notebook draws close to 120w on a continuous basis. Smaller adapters that are designed to handle peaks of up to 120w but usually run at lower wattage would probably burn out. I have used replacement power supplies that fit the amp/volt/watt specs of my laptop but had a mismatched plug without issue. As long as the adapter plug makes physical contact with the electrical connections and fits the voltage specs it will work but could pose serious electrical shock and fire hazards. You have been warned. For officially sanctioned solutions that won't burn your house down contact your reseller/Clevo/Sager.

You could try rainmeter instead. Find a temp. monitoring software with rainmeter plugin support and you'll have more config options than you know what to do with.

Hey guy I received my copy of crysis 2 today and I can report that it runs full resolution but only on the "advanced" setting (hardcore is the highest methinks). When you set it on that, bright textures lag the whole thing. And there is some delay when pressing keys but in the advanced mode it runs fairly smooth.
