Hey ive had mine for about a week now. everything works great. I love it. Just two questions though. Has anybody else noticed that on videos theres a little bit of a red tint sometimes. it doesnt really bother me but still. Also how do you change the wireless card?

The red tint has been mentioned before on the 95% screens if they aren't calibrated. You can try tweaking the settings in the AMD/Nvidia control panel for color/contrast to see if that helps.

As for the wireless card, see this thread for instructions:

Thats the thread i opened, but there are a few questions that hasn't been answered, like if I'm supposed to have 2 or 3 antennas and why my stock card has 2 antennas attached even though MALIBAL2 stated that that stock only has 1 antenna. This is pretty new to me so any and all information is welcomed.

So I've had my np8130 with the 95 % gamut matte screen (LEN40B2 is the ID for it) and I've noticed that when the screen is mostly dark/black, any bright light moving across the dark backdrop creates a faint quickly-fading trail. :S Has anyone experienced this?

Just noticed that Malibal is offering a i5-2410M with an $80 price drop. Anyone there familiar with i5's, and what kind of differences I could expect vs the i7-2630qm? i'm most concerned with heat, not so much regarding the drop in cpu power and the price drop makes it a little more appealing. is there anyone with the i7 that is having heat issues with the cpu?

Well personally, I am not having any heat issues with my i7 (~55 gaming) and from many people's point of view its better to get i7 over i5 for "future proofing" http://forum.notebookreview.com/har.../560274-i5-2410m-vs-i5-480m-vs-i7-2630qm.html

The "F" button is not raised and i can't see why it would be since there isnt a screw under it. Its possible that the "wire" that attaches the keyboard to the rest of laptop might be bumping it.

So I noticed that Sager resellers now have the i5-2410M instead of the 2630 as the base processor while the price of the laptop has stayed the same. Will that stay like that...? Or is it a mistake?

This is the owners manual that i got from XoticPC P15xHM_ESM.zip

Theres a section called "disassemble keyboard" its easy and when you move the keyboard towards the screen, you can see what is pushing the "F" key. Good luck.

I think the price actually dropped by $60.

Ahh I wish MALIBAL would simply answer the question I ask.

The starting price was $1,219 but is now $1,119, a drop of $100. To upgrade to the Intel® i7-2630QM is only $80, so overall with the Intel® i7-2630QM the price dropped $20.

It's not so much a color balance issue. The colors are great so far, especially after calibration. But the right side of my screen seems to "transition from white to black" much slower than the rest of the monitor. It's really odd... Leaves noticeable trails behind bright objects on screen.

Just use it unless the Fn key is scratching your screen because it is raised or it stops working. The keyboard is an easy replacement or return your notebook to Malibal. Contact their tech support. My Fn key is fine but I'm not sure if you are imagining that something is wrong with yours.

Just pulled the trigger on this baby. I have a few questions though.

    1) I purchased the 4GB SSD hybrid drive, can anyone give me more details on how it functions (i.e, which files does it prioritize in storing?). Google has been disappointing in answering this.

    2) So...I read through the last couple of pages in the forums, and it seems like the newest Nvidia beta drivers are not supported on the 560M. Is this true? If so, where is the best source for modded .inf?

You could try reseating your keyboard by opening it up.

PM theriko for the NP8130's user manual; quite self explanatory on how to disassemble the inner compartment.

Check under keyboard as I already mentioned, and did you simply spam like 4-5 threads with the exact same question even though it was answered? If reseating the keyboard doesnt do the trick, then RMA or replacement of keyboard might be the only way.

I will leave Theriko's http://www.mediafire.com/?4pgzpk7dft1wq42 here. There is a disassemble section so read carefully.

    WWAN with the np8130 works.

My np8130 did not have this extra antenna. So I stole the spare antenna from the wifi slot.
(You have to pop off the keyboard to route the antenna )

(If you are going to skip this post PRESS FN + - (FN AND THE MINUS KEY TO ACTIVATE THE CARD, MOST IMPORTANT STEP))

Here is how I routed it
    [IMG]

Then put the card in the mini pci express slot and screw it. Then attatch the antenna
    [IMG]

Then slide your sim card under the battery, like so.

When everything is done should look like this
    [IMG]

Press fn + - (fn and minus key) to activate the 3g module. (Thanks Joseph L at xotic)

Now windows will see it and install the software. I also tried a sierra mc8781
    [IMG]

Works great. The f3307 also works, but I wanted to test this card.

Also if for some reason you are having trouble, try taping over pin 20, this may help some problems, but I didn't need it. I tried it with it and without.

Here is a pic of me taping over pin 20 (I used a 10x loupe)

Yes that is the antenna, it's the spare one at the wifi card. (Only the 6300 uses all 3 antennas, which I do not have, I have a 6230)

I don't know if anything else works, but it might, the only devices I have to test are wwan cards.

does the stock Internal 802.11B/G/N LAN card allow for intel widi connection? also, if not, is it easy to upgrade a stock lan card to say an intel 6300 or something else.

No, it's not possible in this model, even if you upgrade. You need the Intel Graphics to be able to use WiDi (see the link Larry@LPC-Digital provided above), which is not available on this model or any of the non-optimus models.

Please call/live chat/email us if you have any questions on your order. :)

I ordered mine from xotic last Friday.

I know it has only been 3-4 business days, but I check my email obsessively for shipping information. Do I have a problem?

Maybe we need a 'waiting for your new Sager/Clevo Anonymous' Thread.

Step 1: Things to do while you wait
    - organize your old games and new games; what gets installed first,
    second? etc.

Step 2: Play with your old laptop as much as possible
    - help plan your current laptop's retirement. Is it going to mom & dad,
a brother/sister, maybe a friend? Or worse the closet.

Sorry bad humor. I am sure those who are waiting will get a chuckle.

the wait is unbearable  ... Although its only been 2-3 days since the order was processed

I check e-mails religiously also and have been doing vast amount of laptop research since I have always used desktops for gaming...

How long did you guys take to decide on the NP8130? I must have read thousands of forums/posts about gaming laptops and graphic cards

I might have gone back and forth between 3-4 laptops but finally pulled the trigger and ordered it from MALIBAL on Monday. Customer Service has been nothing but stellar so far, but the same could not be said about their typos on live chat :p jking

No idea until BF3 actually comes out. Plus, it depends on the GPU you have...

The 560M? It's pretty decent. It's one of the best GPUs out there. Unless BF3 wants to cut out a huge chunk of their potential market by introducing incredibly high requirements....you're safe.
