Yes. One way is to download and install HWiNFO64 in the link below. :)

Well, i just got my Malibal Lotus P150HM with a HD6990M and i was like... playing battlefield 3 with High Graphics with nice FPS, BUT today the AMD driver crashed and said "The amd driver crashed and blablalba" but nothing happened (no BSOD or anything), but now BF3 is running on LOW fps even on Medium, i've installed MSI Afterburner to check the GPU Usage% and it was 70%...

    What should i do?

Have you Overclocked the GPU at all? Also, you might want to try re-installing the drivers again. If nothing else, contact your re-seller's technical support, they can get you fixed up. :)

I didn't overclock, but i've tried to reinstall the driver (without uninstalling it first [i really don't know this makes any difference]) but nothing changed, the GPU doesn't go past 72% of usage... :( i will try to contact malibal

I just received my Sager np8150 and everything went great until I rand 3dmark 11 and got a score of "P3288 3DMarks" and its claiming that my clocks speeds are at 100mhz, as shown below, and I immediately ran ati's overdrive and sure enough gpu clock is at 100mhz and memory clock is at 150mhz even though they are set at 715 and 900 respectively. If anyone has any insight into this problem please let me know 8(

    Thanks!

On another note, has anyone else installed an SSD that's a bit slimmer than a standard 2.5" HDD? My Samsung 830 doesn't feel very secure and there doesn't seem to be any way to screw it in or give it better support. Anyone else feels the same or has found a fix?

That's a normal score for that card, see benchmarks here:

    AMD Radeon HD 6990M - Notebookcheck.net Tech

If you're referring to the stop sign on the page that says "Your score may be low" etc, that's just an advertisement. It does NOT have a reflection on your scores.

It looks like 3DMark may just not be properly detecting your clock speeds, so check out HWInfo as was suggested. But judging by your scores, your clocks must be ramping up as expected because your performance is within spec.

Any suggestions on why AMD's Driver Autodetect doesn't work for me when I try to update the drivers for my 6990m? I download and run it, and it identifies the following:

Graphics Hardware: Radeon HD 6xxxM Series
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    Best Driver: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe

Then I click download and it asks me for the install location for the Catalyst software, then it tells me "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. Your computer does not contain a proper graphics adapter."

    Any ideas?

    Hi Guys,

Dont know if anyone can help me, but I have wierd one.

    I have a p150hm 6990m 16gb ram etc with 6230 intel wifi

I have another laptop and what I have done due to the fact at work we have a wireless N running a fibre internet 110mbps and another with fileserver and a 20mbps adsl connection. I use 2 internal wireless cards (both minipci express)

I have noticed when opening this one even with the 6230 in it has a free spot underneath laptop (guessing its for tv tuner) when I try to install intel 5300 wifi card the laptop wont turn on (turns on for 2 seconds then off)

when emailing metabox support they replied:
    --------------------
    1st reply:

    Hi XXXXX,

I've just checked with our service department and admittedly what you are attempting is the first we have
    heard of it :)

We have not tried a secondary wireless card in the secondary mini-pci socket before so we are
not sure of the exact outcome. It is possible that the secondary socket is not designed to handle
a secondary wireless card. I'm sorry but we cannot offer much advice on this aspect of the system.

    Hi XXXXXXXX,

    XXXXXXXX

The secondary mini-pci socket slot on P150HM is only a USB socket and doesn't have the PCI
bus connection active. Therefore you would be limited to a TV Tuner card most likely, but we
have not tested or confirmed one will work as we do not support this socket.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to ask.

Now I have tried to remove as much info as I can so as not to get anyone in trouble

Please tell me your thoughts on the issue, can we put a 3g card in or tv tuner or what? can we even use it?

I have also seen SSD drives the go in that spot that work on my g73sw havent tried yet on this, and it may be good as we only have 1 hardrive bay, for those who didnt get the caddy :)

The second slot is not a true mini-pci slot. As was pointed out- it's wired for USB pin out so it's limited to TV tuners and the like. It's also not properly wired for mSATA either, so those SSD's are also ruled out. It's a pretty limited slot in terms of upgrades.

Seen as it is possible to buy usb 3g cards. Are there any models that would work in this slot? Also what model of TVs tuner is recommended?

have many of these but would like to keep usb ports free and take advantage of the free internal slot.

sounds like its unusable in the way i thought minipci was supposed to be, strange its not fully functional, those new ssd drives wouldve been nice to try put in the fastest 15" gaming laptop.

    still happy with it!
p.s. hate the powersupply, its like carrying another ultrabook with me :) not sure what they can do about it.. makes me cry every time i compare it to be studio xps power supply which is only 1cm think (yes i know its only 90w, whatever!)

There is a black wire there similar to the wires you find going to Wi-Fi cards. Maybe that's all that's needed?

I know when i bought it i was asked if i want tv tuner. Maybe there's someone that actually got it and can shed some light on the situation

Isn't there a way to activate HDD password in BIOS so I can take advantage of the AES encryption on my Intel 320 SSD ssd?

No, that feature isn't available in the bios. The best you can do is to run bitlocker or some other encryption software instead.

    To bad. :-(
    P150 don't have TPM do I can't use bitlocker.
Truecrypt isn't recommended to use because the ssd will get slower and get reduced lifespan.

Intel recommend to activate hdd password in bios so that it activate intel 320 ssd aes.

When playing video from HDMI to TV the picture is a little bit laggy. When there is much movement things isn't as smooth as it would have been played on the PC.
If I use the same videofile on my PS3 the picture is as excellent as would be playing on my PC.

I use VLC to play video to the TV. What other software should I use?

Have anyone managed to play 3D content from the PC over to the 3D TV?

It's true that the machine doesn't have a TPM, but you can use Bitlocker with an external USB card. I'm not sure if Bitlocker will use the SD card reader or read from an SD card, but I know the USB variant will work (albeit, it's more clunky than using TPM with auto authentication or pin based authentication)

Yep, it's a stickied thread on the main page:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/596883-what-do-after-unboxing.html

If you're installing Windows yourself, I recommend getting the newest drivers from this thread first, then doing anything that's left from your driver disk:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/573379-clevo-driver-thread.html

That way you get all the most current drivers for the machine. As long as you have at least the newest chipset, video card, and Intel RST drivers though you should get pretty good performance.

Hey, guys. I've noticed that some key combinations don't work. Such as A+W+G for example, although A+W+B works fine.

This is fairly annoying when playing games, ie. can't strafe in an FPS and throw a grenade at the same time.

Is there a reason for this? And is there a workaround? (One that doesn't require an external keyboard, because that's silly.)

    Thanks!

This explains what you're experiencing (Keyboard Ghosting) and it lets you use a small applet to see what key combinations work.

    Microsoft Applied Sciences Group

It's pretty handy. Basically your only workaround is to purchase a USB keyboard that is compatible with that specific button combination.

my HP dv6-6096 laptop with the AMD 6770 is making a loud and annoying fan noise while gaming. Really annoying.

Is it something i would face in a high end Sager laptop too? Or do you all play with closed headphones to isolate external noise?

You will hear the fans kick up as their rpm increase's to help with cooling but nothing annoying.
Try cleaning your fans, vents, heat sinks out. There could be built up dust which is causing the fans to make that noise once they spin up to the faster speeds. A can of compressed air will do the job.
With Sager computers we always encourage opening up the bottom panel to get to all the components so you can get a real good cleaning. I'm not sure how HP looks upon that so do check into any warranty issues before you pop it open.

Is there any review of the NP8150 out there that shows the system noise (in dB) under heavy load? My HP goes up to 45-48dB

The nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 192bit w/1.5GB GDDR5 is no longer available on the Sager NP8150. It is still available on the Sager NP8130.

The Sager NP8150 still has the AMD Radeon HD 6990M 256bit w/2GB GDDR5 and nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 256bit w/2.0GB GDDR5, but only a few of the GTX 580M's are left.

    Hi everyone
I have had my 8150 for a while now, and I'm loving it :)

I recently bought a crucial m4 ssd ($150 on amazon ftw) and was wondering what kind of caddy I would need to install it in the optical bay and if there were any recommendations. Also, is it a better idea just to put the ssd in the primary hdd bay and move the 500gb 7200rpm drive to the optical bay with a caddy?

You can get the caddy from several resellers, or directly from NewmodeUS, Hard Drive Caddys for Notebooks

Since your primary hard drive drive bay supports SATA III, and your ODD bay supports SATA II, it would be much better to install your SSD in the hard drive bay and your 750GB 7,200RPM drive in the caddy in the ODD bay.

Yes, that should work just fine.

    But, how much is it?
