In this case, the IPS panel ghosts less.

Not all TN panels are faster than the fastest IPS panels, and yours is considered a slow TN panel. Anyway, you saw the measurements.

Seems like 1440p laptop panels are not matured as 1080p

Does anyone have the 8086K CPU in this laptop, how are temperatures any throttling during gaming etc.?

Its just the same as the 8700k just needs a little less voltage on average.

I bought the second 850 EVO, and I wanted to do raid 0. But in the settings of the sata controller modes I see only AHCI and "Intel rst premium with intel optane system acceleration". Where is the RAID mode?

UPD: The second option is the RAID mode . :D Why such a strange name?

Because it also supports optane acceleration. Be aware your drive wont be bootable once in raid mode without preparation or a re-install.

I run each SATA SSD independently on AHCI mode. Fast enough for my use. How's your speed on RAID?

While there are no screenshots (post it in the evening), but I can say that sequential reading and writing speed have doubled. (up to 1000 MB/s) The remaining speeds are better by about 30-50%.
@ Meaker@Sager, yes, i made a clean win10 install with my own .iso cleaned by msmg toolkit.

The panel you talked about (144hz 17.3 LED LCD Screen B173HAN03.0 1920x1080 FHD IPS) is a glare type?

Yes that's how I run my smaller machine (original release 850 Evo m.2 500gb raid 0), it's a nippy setup, nicely responsive.

So i heard back from HID, my CPU died and there were mobo issues. They are sorting it out. Also they tested multiple different WiFi cards and all are having the sleep/wake issue. Hopefully it won' take long to it sorted.

Can the 330w psu handle the real combined power draw of the 1080 and the 8700k or 8086k in demanding situations (i.e. gaming)?

Does anyone run 3000mhz memory in the P775TM, is it stable or would you recommend a lower speed. I have searched but could only see someone mention it was displaying as 2400mhz (I think it was that).

Yes a number of us do (P75xTM and P775TM are the same board). However the 3000MHz XMP profile is flakey, especially if you have dual rank (16GB) modules or are populating more than the two slots by the CPU socket. Even I had to place my modules in a specific slot order, otherwise it would boot loop.

So they are stable as long as they are seated in the correct slots?

XMP has a good chance of working with two SR (8GB) modules populating the slots by the CPU, but it's not guaranteed.

The config I'd be selecting would be 2 x 8GB modules. I assumed it would be tested before sending. But if it wasn't what I need to do to ensure it works ok? I'm no good at tinkering with memory settings and profiles but have no problem taking them out and fitting them into different slots.

Just gauging now whether its better going for a slower module for better stability.

Tell your reseller to populate the slots by the CPU and test the XMP profile.

Are those 3000MHz modules Corsair or G.Skill?

Np. I think most of us have experience with the Corsair modules, so I can't say how well the G.Skill modules would work.

I use the G-skill 3000mhz modules, i've not had much headroom in them but they do their rated speed in slots 1 and 4 for me (1st slot of the primary pair and 2nd slot of the secondary pair).

So is running these Corsair/G.Skill modules at 3200MHz CL14 possible in an ideal situation, or is that a pipe dream?

Play around with the slots if you have issues or are tweaking to the max, otherwise don't worry about it.

All the slots are a pretty even distance.

From what i understand, 2666mhz is the official support speed by z370, anything more is OC. Part of the reason why i choose 2666mhz on my system.

8086K is but a binned 8700K, so you should be able to run your current 4.7 at lower voltage, or 4.8/4.9 at similar voltage and temps. But 5GHz is a stretch.

Do you have any information about compatibility new GPU 1160/1170/1180 with current P775TM1? It will be different pcb again or I will able to upgrade easly?
I am very interested in the slowest 1160 if it has performance like 1070/1080 :p.
For full HD games on ultra graphics it is enough, and noise and heat level will certainly be lower than 1170/1180.
