Have you read through this recent thread about 1866MHZ and HTWingNut running 2133MHZ in his W230ST?

No I didn't read this before, thanks for letting me know. Seems that even the 2133MHz memory was installed the system recognized it as 1866MHz.

"One thing to note, however, is that this system recognized the DDR3 2133MHz RAM installed running at 1866MHz"

I have no idea why on the manufacturer product page it doesn't mention 1866Mhz support.

I already have all of them drivers downloaded and installed, thanks. However when I try and use the [fn] key and key to make the application open, nothing happens? i`m still missing something. I installed windows 7 from scratch.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

As for a way to crank the fans up i`m also at a dead end.

Cranking up the fans.. I think it's Fn + 1. At least that's what it was on my older model.

Just to be sure, if I ordered the P370SM3 with only one graphics card, can I upgrade it in the future by adding a second card for SLI?

Do I have to buy the card from Xotic where I ordered my laptop, or can I find it in computer stores and install it myself?

I also ordered the laptop with copper cooling, so will that only apply to the graphics card already installed?

You'll be able to add that second one in down the road. You'll want to source the upgrade kit directly from Sager, that's how they prefer to source them, or buy the parts third party.

The Copper Cooling is applied directly to the heat transfer pipes and so it'll already be in the system when you install the second card.

Hi all, just got my P375SM this week (4700MQ, 8970M, etc etc) through Eurocom.

Was just wondering if there is a way to control the fan speed yet? I understand that the ramp settings are in the EC? And do I need to get any new BIOS from Eurocom or through Sager?

    Cheers

    Hmmm, something seems wrong.

On JC2 and Mafia 2, I seem to get lower FPS on ultra with a GTX780M than a GTX580M would.

    780M:
    - Mafia 2, Ultra, 44FPS
    - Just Cause 2, Ultra, 19FPS

    580M
    - Mafia 2, Ultra, 62FPS
    - Just Cause 2, Ultra, 37,5FPS

    Something is wrong here.

    I am using 326.41 Driver.

What I don't get though, is that Witcher 2 runs perfectly fine at Ultra (no Ubersampling though).

Guys, my local retailer was going to send me 2x256 crucial m4 ssd (I requested based on reviews) but they called and said that the m4 is unavailable right now and offered me a plextor m5s.

I need to choose a path now, accept the plextor m5s or ask them to send the laptop without any disk and buy the m4 (first choice) or Samsung 840 pro (second choice) on a local market.

What do you guys suggest? I really appreciate your opinion.

    Yes. I am using 326.41 - BETA.

Also,Crysis 2 on Ultra with MaldoHD's Texture Pack runs very smooth. Basicly everything I throw at it, except JC2 and Mafia 2.

They are offering the M5S (standard) not the M5P (Pro)? If it is the "S", I say buy your own. Heck buy your own anyway and save money. :)

Thanks Bullrun. Yes, I ordered initially with 2 crucial m4 and changed later to 2 samsung 840 pro. After 30 days (last Friday) they said that the only ssd they have right now is m5s or I should wait 15 days more. I can't really wait longer, so I'll do like you said. They send me without disks and I'll buy the ssds by myself.

Hey, does anyone know how to install a second hard drive? I have a 640gb was in my previous hard drive and I want to install it. However, when I put it in the secondary hard drive bay and turned on my laptop, the hard drive did not appear. My laptop is currently running on windows 8

Hey guys. I'm warring between the 9390 and the 9390-s.

I cant decide if I should get the 9390-s with xfired HD 8970Ms or the 9390 with a single 780m and, eventually, upgrade by adding an additional 780m in few years. Keeping in mind i would do a decent amount of gaming, but also a lot of multi tasking with photoshop, cinema 4d, and the like.

I want this laptop to last me at least 4+ years. As far as i've seen, the HD 8970M's are nothing to scoff at and with two xfired, i'm thinking, it would enable me to play the next four+ years worth of games at reasonably high settings.

I'm also torn between the i7 4700 and the 4800, I'm not sure if the --nearly-- $200 is justifiable. Would I be better off waiting 2-4 years and swapping the 4700 out for the 4800?

Additionally, thinking in terms of the future, should i get the Bigfoot 1202, or simply the intel 7260 as it would be A/AC ready?

    [Edit] @ Solidus
Is your hdd recognized in the bios?

Do the same as I did: order with a single 780M and add a second one in a few years. Some people say 780M SLI is similair to a single GTX Titan, so.... Also, I think the extra $200 for the 4800MQ is worth it. I would choose Intel 7260. It's fast enough (for me atleast).

You may have to get into disk management then enable or assign the disc a letter. Right click on "Computer" then select Manage, that should get you there.

Hi guys, have a simple question : is the sound system for P372sm different from P375sm!?
I mean P370em had X-FI MB2. Does P370sm has the same or is upgraded to X-FI MB3 as the new design P375sm!?
    Thanks.

According to the user accounts I've read on here it's generally considered to be the same audio quality on the new models as what the older models had on their boards.

In a few years it would likely be best to get the latest card in a new machine than add another 780M, if constrained by budget get a pair of 8970M cards.

Would agree here. Unfortunately the resale value of mobile cards don't go down that much over time (the 780m will likely stay over $600 for a while even after new cards are released), so when time comes it's better putting the money towards a new machine with the newest GPU.

There's that but also from a performance perspective per $ even if the mobile card drops it still makes sense to get a single latest GPU usually.

Quick question hopefully is an employee from Xoticpc can answer this question for me but if you purchase a Sager NP9380 and decide later to customize it for example get it custom painted would it void out the warranty to do so?

    Something like this............

For sure! As long as the machine is purchased through us we can bring it back in for you and get that done. When purchased elsewhere it becomes a liability fiasco should something happen down the road and a big blame battle ensues, so we don't offer it on machines bought elsewhere. Shoot me a PM or email/call in, I'll be able to discuss more specifics for you.

It's going to be one of those things, you break it you bought it. Basically nobody is stopping you from doing so, but in the event RMA/Warranty issues arise, and it's deemed that due to the painting it led to the failure of that part, then it wouldn't be covered under warranty.

If you're concerned about the warranty, I"d advise you to not do it. If you're fine with losing it, or are out of warranty already, have at.

Thanks for your quick response Derek, Im just trying to figure out if its something that I want to do from day 1 or do it later down the road that picture I posted is the exact color I wanted it to be but I did not know how much it would cost to have it done by the reseller or builder. I have a friend that pained his very similar to this color
    [IMG]

And I didn't know if I wanted to have him do mine or not that's all but yeah I'm very concerned about the warranty cause I going to be getting the 3yr warranty when I purchase it.

Separate heatsinks is the older design while the combined one has more fin area and thicker heatpipes.

Oh I had not seen the separate heatsink with the thicker pipes, in any case sharing that fin area will have a nice impact.

I got my NP9380 on Thursday. i7-4900MQ, 32GB Ram, 750GB HDD, 120Hz screen with he 3D Vision Glasses. I installed a 120GB mSata SSD on it.

Everything worked well after I installed Windows 7 and the drivers on Thursday, but on Friday night, SLI started giving me problems with Error 43. I made a thread about it here. Been talking with the seller, who's asking Sager about it, but hasn't gotten an answer from them. He thinks though that I should be using two power bricks when I turn on SLI.

Did your SLI work before you put in the new vBIOS? And if it did, did you need two PSUs to do it?

Guys, in just received my P375SM and when press FN + 1 I hear the fans but after 3 seconds the numlk and capslk leds start to flash (like a Linux kernel panic) and the laptop beeps continuously for 10-20 seconds and then shutdown. Doesn't matter if I'm on windows or bios screen, the behaviour is the same. Anyone know what's happening, should I return it?

Yes, SLI worked with new vBIOS out of the box.

No, it doesn't need 2 PSUs.

Actually even with mild OC/OV on GPU, and MX CPU, it runs just fine with 1 PSU.

You need 2 PSU only if you start pushing for real also the MX CPU... (4500+)

You will want it for a CPU + GPU overclock with the GPUs around 1ghz.

That's pretty interesting. Does this same issue occur when you don't press the FN + 1 keys? What are you doing when this occurs?

Derek, for now only when I press FN + 1. I tried to stress the machine using the Intel XTU application to be sure if the issue occurs only when I press the FN + 1 or every time the cooler reach an specific level. I was able to reach 96C and the cooler was loud but I don't think it was on the max as FN + 1.

I recorded a video to send to mey local retailer, there's a lot of portuguese on the video but you can see the issue happening on 02:35.
Avell G1743 New - Erro SSD e Cooler - YouTube

The video is a little long because I'm talking about another issue. The disk on the port 0 sometimes isn't recognized at boot and I toke sometime rebooting the machine to show the issue.
