Guys I'm sorry if this question has been answered before. I ordered an NP9877 with i9 9900k from XoticPC and I wanted a Prema Bios with it but they told me Prema Bios is not yet availabe for the i9 so is that true?

I think it's a safe bet that it's the truth. Partners can be easily verified @ https://premamod.com/partner/ . As they are indeed a partner I don't think they'd lie to you.

Future insurance is the assumption that when his work is completed and mods available, they'll contact you to setup a flash for the bios (afaik? I think that's the norm for Prema resellers anyway...but I'm not sure if xoticpc offers for only their rebranded models, don't know how up-to-date the info in this thread is atm).

Definitely don't know much about Prema or latest news regarding his projects but afaik/iirc from what I read, there's the typical never-ending amount of issues that must be solved first, to complete the work on bios mods for latest-gen cpus. Patience is all you have I think :)

(Sorry if any or all of this is incorrect or useless  )

I've got 1070 from TM1 version of P775 (gpuz in attachment). I would like to sell it but my customer has P870KM barebone. Will the card start on this vbios or he will need to change to a different version of vbios?

Wasn't the issue a hardware problem or conflict where the mods for 9900K support were causing a "bring out the SPI programmer and hardware reflash a bios" if you did something like a RAM timing fail tweak in the bios, and FN+D(?) or reset combinations wouldn't work to restore the system? In other words, a hard brick for any user without SPI tools and the knowledge to force flash to recover?

I suspect the 2080's to be Buku-expensive. But I think they may have a steady stream of them in late January to early Feb, based on leaks.

680 to 980 and 980 to 1080 were both on the order of +70-75%, so a nice generational improvement. Turing has been underwhelming in terms of traditional rasterization performance increase due to a large area of the die being devoted to ray tracing and deep learning.

Does anyone know if the EVOC P870TM1 from HIDevolution requires a pin mod (i.e., isolating the two pins of the 9900k) when upgrading from the i7-8700K to the i9-9900k?

I picked up Commandor's EVOC P870TM1 and will be upgrading the CPU shortly.

I was told that the notebook has the latest updated version of Prema custom BIOS.

9th gen is a drop-in upgrade on Z370 with an updated BIOS, no pin mod needed.

While it may have the latest updated Prema BIOS, you should wait for the next update before attempting to install the Intel® Core™ i9-9900K. Once available, we can flash it for you remotely.

It's very important that the current update not be released because there is a bug with something (I think Johnksss mentioned memory timings?) where if you try to set a bad timing, the system won't POST and clear cmos hotkeys won't restore it. You have to hardware flash the chip with a programmer to completely rewrite the nvram. And since memory timings are a popular tweaking feature, well, there you go.

I can vouche for the tear down. If it's like the thunderbolt chip, it has to be removed from the board (unsoldered) to get the bios info from it.

Yes, I totally agree. Even if we avoided desoldering the SOIC by using an EEprom SOIC clip with a CH341A or EZP2010, it's still a big hassle.

By the way, does anyone know if Clevo will be updating the P870TM1's motherboard (early 2019 ETA) to possibly accomodate the upcoming mobile RTX 2080 power consumption?

The reason why I ask is that I've noticed a number of Clevo resellers no longer offering the P870TM1 on their websites anymore.

Progressively thinking more of buying the current model itelf and be done with it rather than wait for 9900k for this machine. If cannot get something in the next couple of days then not sure if I will get anything later !! Really waiting on SOME news from HID !

New review of P870XX will probably have one RTX card and even better cooling solutions to handel i9 9900k properly. Just wait man - i think its max month or two till next gen clevo.

Mby even new model (with new cooling solutions, better temps/noise, new keyboard, better screen and etc. - who knows). U will be sorry if something new will come up and u bough old crap.
