Anybody out there using 128GB? I'm trying to use it for two sizable VMs (and about a dozen small ones) once of which needs (ideally) an EGPU hooked to it. But going to 128GB seems to nix Thunderbolt support, at least on a Eurocom bios.

I've heard rumors that it DOES work on other BIOSes, however?

Any insight from my fellow 128ers?

Not to ruin your plans, but even if Prema bios does allow this, the only way to get it, is to buy the system from a Premamod reseller.

When the 300Hz panels hit, assuming they use the same 40 pin eDP connector, will they need any firmware/bios modding to work in existing systems or be PnP?

That's actually great, changing the LCD on the P870 is a piece of cake. And being PnP, the 240/300Hz screens should be a nice quick mod.

2080S works in the P870, I'll ask Prema whether it needs a bios/vbios update or if it's PnP. However any P870 heatsink/vapor chamber needs to be modded to fit RTX cards.

P870 is EOL, and doesn't officially support RTX outside of 3rd party boutique shops. HID used to mod their vapor chambers to fit RTX cards, so might be worth a shot asking them, or get a dremel tool and DIY.

Guys my battery died a while ago. I wasn't as concerned because I'm always plugged-in but today accidentally unplugged the AC power brick from the laptop and the battery wasn't even able to keep the laptop powered on for 2 seconds, so I lost my gameplay and I was really pissed off. I have a couple of questions:

    1) Is the part number P870BAT-8?
    2) Please if you can recommend to me a trusted US based reseller for this spare part

I'm skeptical you'll find one in the states, but my recommendation is to contact RJTech or maybe HIDevolution.

I've also had a good experience with laptopbatteryexpress and they show a compatible battery in stock, but it isn't OEM.

I was checking the HID site, but couldn't find anything. What do you mean by the battery not being OEM? not a genuine part? something like that?

Thanks! I'll check your website and get back to you if I have any doubts

What's the newest Thunderbolt firmware? I've been trying to get several docks to work and displayport flat out doesn't work (it isn't even recognized) and audio stutters and slows down my system if I plug in speakers or headphones to the dock.

Ethernet and USB work fine, though.

I also get the DMA violation BSOD on one of the docks.

Yep, I had to enable it in BIOS (along with a few other settings) to get the dock recognized

One dock screeches with audio plugged in and no video out. It is a full powered TB3 dock w/ 60w support, A/V, ethernet, type C, USB, 2x DP.

The other is non powered TB3 dock w/ 2x DP, USB and Ethernet (No audio).

    Both are from WAVLINK.

I have an even smaller dock to try tonight that is HDMI out versus DP w/ ethernet and USB.

Unit is running the newest Prema BIOS as of January 2020 when HID updated it for ks and 2080 support.

Anybody know how to get a video driver from HIDEvolution? They installed a custom 2070 3K NVidia driver and Windows lost it on the last update. Nobody answers my support ticket on their web site.

    Video problem fixed.

New 1.4 cable to replace the old 1.2 cable
    Adjust OSUP setting in BIOS
Adjust DDI -> TB3 in BIOS

Audio problem on the one dock still persists but I'm not the only one to report audio issues with it so it is what it is. *shrug*

haha thank you brother, if the 30x0 series are compatible, I'll be right on that mod :D
For the 240hz panel I would need to see the mounting, since it might need to be modded to fit.
