The surface you actually touch is part of the upper casing.

Not 100% sure off the top of my head but might be. I'd check with them before ordering.

I did a 6 month maintenance on the vaporchamber mod, which I'll try to get a writeup on. But the long and the short is that it was quite fine, and aging did indeed get significantly slowed down by the pre-LM treatment.

Did you set 1 DDI to TBT or 2 DDI to TBT? where is that OSUP option on the BIOS?, I've been trying to use my Dell WD19 (USB-C version) dock but I get no video from the dock, I've tried HDMI and DP but it just doesn't work, also I lose audio from my P870 when the dock is connected.
What else did you configure to make it work?

    I have stock BIOS.

    Thanks in advance!

Hello all, if I wanted to salvage parts from my Sager NP9877 to use in a desktop, what parts can I use that haven't been modded to fit in the chassis? Any information is helpful!

Its a full GTX 1080 in technical specs, but it has a MXM slot format, not PCIe, you could use something like THIS but I don't know how convenient it is or if it works with any GPU.

I've been trying to use a Dell WD19 USB-C dock but I can't make it work to display video through it. I already enabled DDI on the BIOS. Windows 10 and NVIDIA control panel detects there's an additional display connected but there's no signal in the monitor, do I need to install / enable something else?, my P870TM1-G has stock BIOS.

I already tried the laptop USB-C port and it displays video properly.

Does hitting windows key + P for duplicate/extend send a signal over to the monitor?

Yeah I tried all the methods but none of them work. The second screen is detected by Windows and the Nvidia configuration panel but it doesn't get any signal. I already tried my two monitors with it with no success. I also tried the dock with an android smartphone and another computer and it worked so it seems to be a problem related to my laptop, maybe I'm missing a step to use it properly.

It's DP over thunderbolt so USB won't work.

The dock is connected to the laptop through the USB-C / TB3 port, and then there's a DP/HDMI (tried both) cable that goes from the dock to the monitor.

    Laptop ------USB-C------> dock -------DP/HDMI------> monitor

Sorry if I'm not being clear enough.

It won't pass display port over usb only thunderbolt and only a single channel per port.

Dang. I thought it could be compatible since the Clevo manual says:

"This unified Thunderbolt 3 port/ USB 3.1 Gen 2 port allows for the connection of external
peripherals to the computer by combining PCI Express (PCIe), DisplayPort (DP), USB 3.1 and its
    own Thunderbolt 3 technologies."

But I guess it only uses PCIe for video output.

With that one, be cautious of this (from the Amazon listing):
"Computers Supporting A Single Display (Partial List):

Systems with a single DisplayPort line wired to the Thunderbolt 3 port are not updatable to support two displays

    Razer Blade Stealth / Pro
    Asus/Transformer 3 Pro / ROG

    HP Spectre 13.3

It definitely only supports one display out. I only use one display but trying to use two testing it was an exercise I’m futility.

Yep, each is an individual channel, so you have to have active splitting of it if you want to carve it into separate displays. Some machines (especially those with fewer overall ports) stick 2 channels on the single connector.

The GTX1080 falls short here, even on LOW for something like Warzone the avg is around ~170fps. For CS and such, you can run and take full advantage of the high refresh though.

Sounds like an EC panic, one of the monitored values such as temperature, power or fan speed is out of range on a critical value and it's shutting down. Check your fans.

If you force max fan speed with Fn+1 during boot up can you see the same behaviour when you use your laptop that way? You find the fans rpm monitored in Hwinfo64.
